Crash & Genny

This morning Genny was prancing around the living room with her piggy toy. I let them go play outside for awhile. It was slightly cooler this morning compared to yesterday, so they were ready to come back in after awhile. Crash was running around, then would stop in his tracks to listen to the cows moo-ing. Genny wandered around and explored, then laid down for awhile. They both came in and had their treat. Next, Crash gave me his kisses while Genny was getting her back scratched. Crash started trying to tackle me and tried to get Genny to play too! Afterwards, we spent some time playing fetch with the piggy toy. Whenever Crash would get it, he'd shake it all about! I let them both go back outside for a bit so Crash could run off some of his energy. He sure did! He zoomed all the way to the back of the yard, ran to the door and back again. This evening was nice and warm out, so we spent most of our visit outside. Crash had fun racing around! He would run back and forth to each side of the yard to stop and listen to the sounds of other dogs and anything else he heard. Sometimes Genny would even join in! They both ran around, then goofed around with each other. Genny eventually found her spot in the grass to just relax and enjoy the nice evening! They came back inside and snuggled up with me for a few minutes before they got their bedtime snack.

Dakota & Benny

This afternoon was another gorgeous day for a walk! Benny was getting so excited while we were still in the house. He could hear the neighbor dogs barking, so he was raring to go! It was a pretty quiet day for us again, just soaked up the nice warm sunshine as we walked. Benny paused at one of his friend's houses today to see if she would come to the fence. But she must not have been outside. They always stop and stare at each other for a second before they start getting excited and talk to each other! Kota and Benny both got pretty warm on their walk again today. Once we got home, Benny had some water and cooled off while Kota went outside to finish going potty quick.

Crash & Genny

Crash and Genny met me at the front door earlier today. At first Crash let out a bark, then they realized it was me and tails started wagging! Genny went right to her basket and grabbed out her piggy toy. It was so nice out already, so we spent the whole time outside. They ran around and did their business, then came back to me to be pet. Later, they lounged around in the grass. Crash got up and tried to get Genny to wrestle around with him. The ground seemed to have dried up quite a bit, so we didn't have any muddy paws! Before I left I gave them each a treat. This evening was still nice and warm out. So, after getting there, we all spent our visit outside, listening to the chirping of frogs and other critters! Crash ran around to check out all the sounds he'd hear. Genny found a comfy spot to curl up in the grass. Later, Crash decided to curl up next to his sister. So cute! We came back inside and I wiped their paws off. I got my kisses for the night! They got their treat and Genny was starting to work on her dinner as I left.

Dakota & Benny

Today was another great day for a walk! I noticed the gate was open when I got there, so I tried to get it shut. The wind was too strong and kept blowing it open! It was a pretty quiet day for our us. Benny said hi to all his friends as we passed by. Kota was busy chasing after plastic bags that blew by in the wind. They actually got hot on their walk today! I think spring might finally be here, I hope! When we got home they both had a big drink of water and laid down to cool off. I gave Kota some ice cubes in her bowl before I left.

Buckley, Chloe, J.R., & Tizzy

Everyone heard me coming down the hallway today! JR began barking as I was letting them out, then they all joined in while they zoomed down the hallway! They each had to say hi and smell me before they ran off and went potty. What a gorgeous day for them to play outside! JR was chasing after leaves as they twirled around in the wind above him. They all explored around the yard, and every once in awhile would come running back to me! It would only take one to bark and head my way, then the whole pack would join. Later Buck and Chloe curled up in the shade by the door while the kids played. Tizzy kept grabbing onto the trees and looking up like she was going to climb up and get something! Then JR was interested and looked up in the tree too. I couldn't figure out what they were looking at, but it kept them occupied for quite awhile! Chloe and Buck took turns sitting next to me and getting their backs scratched. When I'd stop petting one and start to pet the other, they'd scold me! They're so funny. A yellow dog came to visit them today. Everyone ran to the fence and they all barked at each other. Eventually he went on his way and the pups all went back to their exploring. Buck decided to hop on the patio table and smell the wind! I brought everyone back inside to cool off for awhile and have a drink. I gave them each a treat while they were in the kitchen. They went potty quick one last time while I filled their toys with a little peanut butter. The babies went right in their kennels. Actually they both went in the same one at first! Buck didn't want to go back to his room at first and was comfy on his couch upstairs. I went up and he came down with me and went right to work on his peanut butter when he got there.

Dakota & Benny

It was such a nice afternoon to go for our walk! The snow had all melted from the sidewalks and everything is back to normal. Kota did her "woo-woo" while I got them both hooked up and ready to go. Benny was happy to see all his friends outside again! Kota was a little bird hunter today. She would watch the Robins and Pigeons, then try to chase them. We got our nice long walk in, then I cleaned them up once we got back home. Kota had a little lunch while Benny rolled over next to me and got his back scratched!

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

This afternoon I let the boys outside to play for awhile. Sugar didn't feel like coming out right away. Jimmy would run laps around the yard, then come running up to me to be pet! He and Buddy both explored around for awhile. Later, Sugar decided she wanted to go out. She quick did her business then wanted back in. It was still cloudy and damp outside, so I kept them in but let them have the run of the house.

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

Jimmy came and said hi when I came in the door tonight. Buddy was sitting on the bed, and I found Sugar wearing her little poncho! You should make a little jacket out of that blanket for her. She's already got holes for her head and a leg! Haha! I let the boys out potty while I got their meds ready. Charlie bird was sitting on his perch outside his cage. When I walked over, he let himself back in through one of the dish doors. I gave Buddy his meds first tonight and let the other two surround him to put the pressure on! He gobbled up his food as quick as he could with no problems. Yay! Jimmy came and snuggled up with me for a bit. While he was giving me kisses I had to laugh at his garlic breath!

Dakota & Benny

This afternoon Kota was singing to me and Benny was hopping around excitedly, ready for their walk! We were able to get our longer walk in today. The snow had mostly melted on the sidewalks, except for the hills by driveways where people shoveled. Kota would just spring right over them! Benny would take his time, assess the situation, and find the lowest point to cross over. It was pretty funny to watch! Later, he attempted Kota's approach and hopped over. But, he couldn't jump nearly as far, so he landed right on top and sunk in a little! Kota climbed up onto a huge pile we passed by and helped herself to some snow. Benny saw that she was eating something, so he climbed his way up and tried some too! As we started getting close to home, we walked in the street in my attempt to dry them out a little. Kota decided she still wanted to walk in the snow and would jump into any puddles she could! I dried them both off once we got back home. Later this afternoon I let the pups out in the backyard to play. Benny quick did his business, found a ball and was ready to come back in. Kota came in and rolled around in my lap. Goofy girl! She was ready to go back out again shortly, and spent some time exploring around. Benny came to snuggle up with me and get his back rubbed! He dropped his ball and nudged it to me to throw for him. Later Kota came inside and went crazy when I started squeaking the ball! She zoomed around and hopped up and over the couch. I tossed the ball for Benny and she went after it too. Benny was too quick though! She stood and looked at me, then all of a sudden the other blue ball rolled to her feet. Benny must have said, "Here take that one instead!". They crack me up!

Auggie and Pattie

This afternoon, Auggie met me with a soft meow as I came into the house. I found him laying on the couch, relaxing and enjoying the soft blanket. I could hear Pattie in the bedroom, but she didn't come out to say hello! It was soft food day today and as soon as I got out the bowls, Auggie jumped off the couch and wandered over to the yummy food! He enjoyed his food while I cleaned up the litter boxes! When I came back out, Auggie was resting on the stairway! He put his little head through the iron bars to get a scratch! We then sat on the step and I gave him some love and attention! At one point, he stood up and put his head to my head, almost in a headbutt! I thanked him for a fun time and told him to say goodbye to Pattie for me!
