Buckwheat
Ginger, Tiger, Scout and Scotch

Ginger was the only one to greet me at the gate this evening, as both Tiger and Scout were still lounging in their beds. They finally got up and said hello! It took a little coaxing to get them outside, but finally all three joined me in the cool, evening air. Scout said hello to someone who was walking by, so both Tiger and Ginger had to check it out too! After potty time, it was back inside for dinner and a treat! All three gathered at the treat cupboard and anxiously waited to see what treat I picked for them! After a yummy snack, we all hung out by their beds. At one point, all three went over to the window and looked out, as if to see if Mommy was home yet. I reassured them she would be home very soon and gave them some extra scratches! Thanks for the good times!

Dakota & Benny
This afternoon Kota was telling me stories! She woo-wooed at me the whole time we were getting ready to go. She found all kinds of fun stuff to play with on our walk today. We saw a kid's winter hat on the ground, which she scooped up and tossed in the air! Later, we came across another one. Somewhere there are little kids running around without their hats! Benny was busy keeping an eye on the big blow up Christmas decorations floating around in the wind. Benny's stool looked much better today. Kota went too and hers was normal. This evening we played out in the backyard. Kota gave me a big hug and lots of kisses! Benny made a big lap around the yard and came back with a wrench in his mouth. I thought it was real at first, but then saw the little paw print on the side! I tossed that for him a few times. Kota was zooming around having a blast. Then she found something under the shed that caught her attention. I'm not sure what it was, but she sure wanted to get it! She didn't even want to come back inside. Benny snuggled up with me for awhile and got a good back scratching.Buckwheat
Ginger, Scout, Tiger & Scotch
I heard welcome barks as I opened my car door this evening. As I turned the corner, all three met me at the gait with wagging tails! I opened up the gate, but then all three disappeared back into the kitchen! Ginger kept making trips back and forth, as if she was trying to get Tiger and Scout to come outside with her! I went back in with Ginger and finally Tiger decided to go outside. Then Ginger and I went back in to get Scout, who finally followed us outside! I think all three were not too excited about the cool air! We did not stay long outside; Scout was the last one out and the first one to head back inside! Tiger and Ginger ran around a little bit, but then both waited patiently to get in! As usual, Tiger ran right to the treat cupboard and the other two followed! Tonight, the three of them were a little picky; we tried three different treats and finally the chewy bacon treat won! I went out and greeted Scotch, who was laying in his bed. A fresh bowl of water and some scratches made Scotch very happy! Back inside, it didn't take too long for the three of them to get cozy in their beds. Goodnight gang! See you tomorrow morning!

Buckwheat
This morning Buckwheat was all curled up on his little bed. I woke him up and he just laid there for a bit. He rolled over onto his back and put his front legs above his head while I rubbed his belly! He sure enjoyed that for quite awhile before we got up to go outside. He's so funny! After he went he came in and was ready for his morning snack! It was super cold out this morning, so we just snuggled up in the chair. He went potty again for me and did both right away this morning. This afternoon Buckwheat was back to snoozing under the bed. He raced me down the hall and stopped at his usual spot. He slowly made his way across, then went straight to his food bowl. He watched while I got his dinner warmed up. He pulled a bunch of pieces out again. He took a potty break before he came in and walked me to the front door to say goodbye. Tonight he was stretched out on his comfy bed. He woke up right away and rolled over for another tummy rub! Not too long after he was making his way out of bed and bouncing down the hallway ahead of me. This time he barked for me to pick him up. After he went out we went to our spot for some cuddle time. I think it's cute how he likes to hold my hand!Dakota & Benny
This afternoon was still really chilly out, so we just played today. Kota was very talkative when I let her out! She kept woo-wooing at me and gave me a big bear hug while she tried to kiss my face. I let them out in back right away. They quick did their thing and were right back at the door wanting to come in. Benny and I played a little fetch (more like him playing keep-away lol) when he'd let me while Kota curled up in my lap for some back scratches. She was giving me lots of kisses! They went back outside for a few minutes to run around before coming back in to warm up again. We played fetch with some of Kota's kibbles. I love watching her crouch down to pounce on them and spring up in the air to toss or catch the pieces. She doesn't like Benny getting them! So he gets to fetch them when she's busy eating from her bowl. They went outside one more time to run around. Benny was fascinated by the sounds coming from the house next door that was getting worked on. He sat and stared at the fence with his head cocked to one side. Kota ran a couple laps, then found a nice stick to lay down in the grass and gnaw on for awhile.
