Buckwheat

This morning Buckwheat got up and was excited to see me as usual! He went potty then ran with me to the fridge to get his morning snack. Today was finally warmer out, so after he got his meds we decided to take a walk. He ran an bounced all the way to the door after I got his leash on. He was breathing heavy he was so excited! When we got back home we even had a few minutes to snuggle in his chair. When I leave he usually walks with me and stops at the hallway to watch me go. Today he ran all the way to the door with me. He thought we were going for another walk! This afternoon Buckwheat got up and was ready for his dinner. He pulled a bunch of his food out to get the good stuff like usual. Silly pup! He went potty and came in ready for a back scratch. He walked to the hallway with me and said goodbye til later. Tonight Buckwheat was snoozing on the floor right next to his bed. After I got him up he raced down the hall and barked at me, "Are you coming?!". He quick did his business outside for the evening. Buckwheat bounced happily along behind me as I went to turn on a light. Then he went to his chair and barked excitedly for his evening snuggle time! He curled up with me and got a nice long back scratching and even a tummy rub. He would sit up against the side of the arm rest so I could get his belly. Then, he was giving me high fives!

Ginger, Tiger, Scout and Scotch

Three cute little faces were peering out at me through the window when I arrived this morning. They greeted me with barks and wagging tails. The must have had a good sleep, as all three were stretching as I opened up the gate! Today, it was Tiger who lead the way to the door to go outside! All three ran around and went potty, but little Ginger was the first to head back to the door. I let her inside and stayed awhile long with Scout and Tiger. Finally, after greeting the neighbors, we headed back in for breakfast and a little morning treat! Scotch was roaming around and came over and sat in my lap to enjoy some scratches. Back inside, I sat down with the doggies and I took turns scratching each one! A fresh bowl of food and water brought my morning to an end! See you at lunchtime!
This afternoon, I was welcomed into the home with warm greetings from all three! Ginger led the pack to the door to go outside. Their friend, the squirrel, was out today, so we all ran around the back yard for a good portion of the afternoon. Ginger was ready to go inside after a little bit, so we decided it was maybe a little too chilly for a walk! They sure got in a lot of exercise, chasing their friend! The snack cupboard must have been calling their names, because all three ran to it as soon as they came inside! I checked on Scotch, who was enjoying a peaceful nap in the little bed by warm fan, so I just refilled the food dish and turned off the light! The doggies and I played for a little bit longer, but then it was time for me to go; enjoy your afternoon!

Ginger was the only one to greet me at the gate this evening, as both Tiger and Scout were still lounging in their beds. They finally got up and said hello! It took a little coaxing to get them outside, but finally all three joined me in the cool, evening air. Scout said hello to someone who was walking by, so both Tiger and Ginger had to check it out too! After potty time, it was back inside for dinner and a treat! All three gathered at the treat cupboard and anxiously waited to see what treat I picked for them! After a yummy snack, we all hung out by their beds. At one point, all three went over to the window and looked out, as if to see if Mommy was home yet. I reassured them she would be home very soon and gave them some extra scratches! Thanks for the good times!

Dakota & Benny

This afternoon Benny was running laps around the living room when I got there! I let them both out to play in the backyard. Kota gave me lots of hugs and kisses again while Benny ran circles around me carrying his ball. Shortly after, Kota went back to trying to get whatever is under the shed like yesterday! She sprang around in the air like a little deer! Benny and I played fetch a little bit, then he helped Kota. They both were sticking their noses underneath the shed with their heinies in the air! Later we went inside and chased each other around the living room. Benny got pooped out from all the chasing, so he curled up with me for a back scratch. Kota wanted one too!

Dakota & Benny

This afternoon Kota was telling me stories! She woo-wooed at me the whole time we were getting ready to go. She found all kinds of fun stuff to play with on our walk today. We saw a kid's winter hat on the ground, which she scooped up and tossed in the air! Later, we came across another one. Somewhere there are little kids running around without their hats! Benny was busy keeping an eye on the big blow up Christmas decorations floating around in the wind. Benny's stool looked much better today. Kota went too and hers was normal. This evening we played out in the backyard. Kota gave me a big hug and lots of kisses! Benny made a big lap around the yard and came back with a wrench in his mouth. I thought it was real at first, but then saw the little paw print on the side! I tossed that for him a few times. Kota was zooming around having a blast. Then she found something under the shed that caught her attention. I'm not sure what it was, but she sure wanted to get it! She didn't even want to come back inside. Benny snuggled up with me for awhile and got a good back scratching.

Buckwheat

Little Buckwheat was sleeping soundly this morning all curled up on his bed. When he woke up he started wiggling around with excitement right away! He rolled over for a quick belly rub, then got up for a couple big stretches. He was running down the hall with me and waited at his post for me to pick him up. After his morning treats we snuggled up in his chair. As soon as I sat down he stood up against the chair and gave me a look like, "Can I come up?". He was nice and cozy warm on my lap. This afternoon Buckwheat was ready for his dinner! I got him up from his little cave and he followed me to the fridge, keeping an eye on his yummy food. After dinner he went outside and decided to hang out there for a little.bit. He sat down in the grass and barked at something, then looked to make sure I was still there. When he came back in he was dancing around at my feet! After a nice long back scratching I waved goodbye and told him I'd be back later. Tonight Buckwheat emerged from under the bed with the biggest ears! All the hair on his ears were standing straight up and out. Then he ran down the hall and they appeared to be floating; it was the cutest, funniest thing! He hopped around after me and got down on his front legs again when he came inside like he wanted to play... but not really. He's so funny! Next he ran over to his chair and barked, ready to be picked up and pet!

Can I come up?

Ginger, Scout, Tiger & Scotch

This afternoon the pups were all barking in the window when they saw I had arrived! They each said hi, then it was off to the backyard. Ginger came over and stood against my legs for some attention. As soon as everyone was finished, it was time for a walk! Tiger came in and wanted treats, but got even more excited when I opened the drawer. They all gathered around me and waited their turn to get all hooked up! Then everyone was scrambling towards the door. After we got back home they each got a couple treats.

I heard welcome barks as I opened my car door this evening. As I turned the corner, all three met me at the gait with wagging tails! I opened up the gate, but then all three disappeared back into the kitchen! Ginger kept making trips back and forth, as if she was trying to get Tiger and Scout to come outside with her! I went back in with Ginger and finally Tiger decided to go outside. Then Ginger and I went back in to get Scout, who finally followed us outside! I think all three were not too excited about the cool air! We did not stay long outside; Scout was the last one out and the first one to head back inside! Tiger and Ginger ran around a little bit, but then both waited patiently to get in! As usual, Tiger ran right to the treat cupboard and the other two followed! Tonight, the three of them were a little picky; we tried three different treats and finally the chewy bacon treat won! I went out and greeted Scotch, who was laying in his bed. A fresh bowl of water and some scratches made Scotch very happy! Back inside, it didn't take too long for the three of them to get cozy in their beds. Goodnight gang! See you tomorrow morning!

Buckwheat

This morning Buckwheat was all curled up on his little bed. I woke him up and he just laid there for a bit. He rolled over onto his back and put his front legs above his head while I rubbed his belly! He sure enjoyed that for quite awhile before we got up to go outside. He's so funny! After he went he came in and was ready for his morning snack! It was super cold out this morning, so we just snuggled up in the chair. He went potty again for me and did both right away this morning. This afternoon Buckwheat was back to snoozing under the bed. He raced me down the hall and stopped at his usual spot. He slowly made his way across, then went straight to his food bowl. He watched while I got his dinner warmed up. He pulled a bunch of pieces out again. He took a potty break before he came in and walked me to the front door to say goodbye. Tonight he was stretched out on his comfy bed. He woke up right away and rolled over for another tummy rub! Not too long after he was making his way out of bed and bouncing down the hallway ahead of me. This time he barked for me to pick him up. After he went out we went to our spot for some cuddle time. I think it's cute how he likes to hold my hand!

Dakota & Benny

This afternoon was still really chilly out, so we just played today. Kota was very talkative when I let her out! She kept woo-wooing at me and gave me a big bear hug while she tried to kiss my face. I let them out in back right away. They quick did their thing and were right back at the door wanting to come in. Benny and I played a little fetch (more like him playing keep-away lol) when he'd let me while Kota curled up in my lap for some back scratches. She was giving me lots of kisses! They went back outside for a few minutes to run around before coming back in to warm up again. We played fetch with some of Kota's kibbles. I love watching her crouch down to pounce on them and spring up in the air to toss or catch the pieces. She doesn't like Benny getting them! So he gets to fetch them when she's busy eating from her bowl. They went outside one more time to run around. Benny was fascinated by the sounds coming from the house next door that was getting worked on. He sat and stared at the fence with his head cocked to one side. Kota ran a couple laps, then found a nice stick to lay down in the grass and gnaw on for awhile.

Buckwheat

This morning Buckwheat was still sleeping under the bed. I got him up and he started dancing around right away, happy to see me! I let him out for his morning potty break and he was very excited for his yummy treats when he got in. He stared at me with wide eyes and tail-a-wagging while I got each piece out! This time he motioned for me to set them down for him. Afterwards I went to sit in the chair. He came running behind me and started bouncing up and down by my feet for me to pick him up. Buckwheat curled up and made himself comfortable while I pet him. He went outside potty one more time before I left, but he didn't have to go. This afternoon Buckwheat was already working his way out from under the bed when I kneeled down. He ran with me to the edge of the tile, and soon after braved his way across. He ran over to his bowl and followed me to the fridge to get his dinner. Today he pulled out pieces and set them next to his bowl, so when he finished I put them all back in. Silly boy! We went outside and he went both for me. Tonight I got Buckwheat up from his nap in his usual spot. Each time he comes out his ear hair is standing straight up and waving around from the static! We both got a shock when I pet him. He went outside, let out a few barks, did his business and came back to the door. He was the happiest I've seen him yet. He did his little happy dance and even got down on his front legs with his heiny in the air. I ruffled up his hair, then he zoomed off to the middle of the kitchen and came racing back for more! It was hilarious! After a quick drink it was snuggle time in mom's chair. He ran over and bounced around by my feet again. As soon as he got in my lap he laid down and took a little nap.

Buckwheat

This afternoon I had to wake little Buckwheat up when I came. He was snoozing away under the bed, so I lightly brushed against his foot. He woke right up then started making his way out, while looking back to make sure I was still coming. Buckwheat was just prancing around cute as ever! He did stop at the tile so I carried him to the kitchen. I fed him his dinner, then it was outside for a potty break. After he was finished he followed me to the hall where I waved goodbye and told him I'd be back later! Tonight I found him sleeping under the bed again, way on the other side out of my reach. He must have sensed that I was there, because by the time I got to the other side, he was up and coming out to say hi! Buckwheat did his little dance all the way to the end of the hallway. I picked him up and we went outside right away for him to do his business. He munched on his food some more when we came in. He would carry a piece of food over to one of the rugs where he'd stop and finish it, then go back for another. Later, we curled up in mom's chair for awhile before bedtime.
