Dakota & Benny
This morning I took Kota and Benny for a nice long walk before they got their breakfast. Before we got on our way I let them out back to go potty quick. The neighbor was mowing his lawn, so Benny was chasing back and forth along the fence, then was ready to run around the corner when we went out front. On our walk Kota was hunting for fried worms on the sidewalk! She picked up a couple, then spit them back out. Guess they were too done. haha! Benny stopped under a tree and sat down to take a little break and enjoy the nice weather. This afternoon it still wasn't too terribly hot out, so we took another long walk. They were just as excited for this one as they were this morning! We walked past a spot in the sidewalk that had a large gap between the cement blocks. Kota crouched down to peer into it and hopped up in the air like she was excited and found something! Silly girl. There were a few sprinklers going this afternoon on our path. Kota and Benny both wanted to run for them and play in the water! We got a little wet and Benny was happy about that. When Benny was laying in the kitchen after we got home, he suddenly hopped up and started barking at the kitchen towel! Then he nudged at it with his nose. I guess he thought it moved! Tonight they played outside in the dark for a little bit before supper. Benny and I played some fetch while Kota was eating. We played outside some more after she was finished.

Dakota & Benny
This afternoon Dakota, Benny and I took a nice long walk. There were lots of clouds out today, so we had shade most of the time. They were very excited! Kota kept trying to sneakily pick things up from off the ground. When we got home Benny was pretty tired and he laid in the kitchen for awhile to cool down. Kota went and laid in her kennel too, after she got herself a drink. Tonight they were anxious to get outside. We played out in the backyard for a long time before coming in for their supper. Benny and I played some fetch while Kota zoomed around and explored. Benny brought his bone toy in to continue playing while Kota ate her supper. When she was finished she came over by me and rolled around on the floor. She chased after Benny a little too.

Maggie & Moe
The girls ran to the door to see me this afternoon! We went outside for a little while, but they were soon ready to go inside since it was pretty hot out. After we got inside, the girls sat on either side of me for some attention. Maggie ran off into the bedroom to get a rawhide. As soon as Moe saw her, she ran over to try and get it. She didn't try too hard though, gave up and had some lunch. Moe came back and rolled around next to me, while Maggie decided to go chew on her bone in the bedroom. Tonight we got to play outside a lot longer. It cooled off quite a bit and the girls had fun chasing each other all over the backyard! When we finally went in, the girls both had some supper while I was there. Maggie came over to snuggle up with me while she gnawed on her bone and Moe was ready to play. Moe ran to her toy box and dug out her purple ball for me to throw around for her! After she lost interest in that, the girls wrestled around over Maggie's rawhide.
Maggie, can you see with that rawhide in front of your face?
Dakota & Benny
This afternoon I let Kota and Benny out back right away. Benny ran for his bone toy as soon as he got out there and pranced around me with it. Kota was over in the corner of the yard, trying to stick her nose under the fence to say hi to the neighbor dogs! Benny laid over by the door and was ready to head back inside since it was pretty hot out. We waited for Kota, then went back in. Kota had some very loose stool again today. Kota and Benny both sat down by me to get their backs scratched. Then Benny was ready for some fetch! Kota did some hopping around on the couch, trying to catch Benny. Then Kota rolled around on the ground and Benny stood over her, sticking his toy in her face! They wrestled around over it for a little bit. Kota was having a lazy day today and decided to go lay down in her kennel. She didn't feel up for much playing today like she usually is. She didn't even come out to join us while Benny and I were chasing around and playing keep-away!

Pippin
This morning Pippin was excitedly waiting for me at the top of the stairs! He did his little roll over while I said hi to him. He was eager for his morning walk. We walked around the courtyard for a while longer this morning since it wasn't nearly as hot out. When we got back home he sat in his spot by the window, waiting for mom and dad to come back. I just sat and pet him for a long time. It looks like he slept on the bed last night. I noticed the pillows were all over the place since he had the bed all to himself! Tonight Pippin took a little bit to get to the stairs when I came in, but he was happy to get outside. When we came in he was full of energy! He was rolling around on the floor and having me rub his tummy for him. He had knocked a pillow off the couch and was sticking his head under that and itching his face on it. I had him chasing around after some treats tonight as well. He will be very happy to see mom and dad when they get home!!
Zeus, Baxter & Zelda
This morning Zelda was laying on her sidewalk in the shade. When I went in, only Zeus came to see me right away. I went looking for sleepy little Baxter and found him laying under the bed. He slowly crawled his way out, did a big stretch and walked to the back door. They did their thing while I watered the plants and fed the fishies this morning. When I was finished I spent the rest of the time petting them outside while they relaxed in the shade. I noticed there were two little froggies swimming in the pool today! They must have needed to cool off too. After I let the boys inside I went to say goodbye to Zelda. The boys were ready to come in. Zeus sprawled out on the cool tile floor and Baxter wandered off to go back to sleep under his bed. Zelda was just sitting out front by the flowers!Gracie
This morning Gracie ran to the back door to go potty for me. She seems to be more and more comfortable with me every time I see her. After she went potty we sat out in the shade for awhile this morning. She came over to me when she was ready to go inside and wagged her tail at me! I pet her for a minute, then we went in. She curled up in her usual spot and I sat with her and pet her some more. She got excited to get another treat today!

Zeus, Baxter & Zelda
This morning Zelda was sunning herself on the sidewalk again. I said hi to her quick before going to see the boys. When I called for them they both came running! I let them go potty and play around out there while I watered the plants. When I was finished, they both came over for their attention. It was pretty comfortable out this morning, so we spent the whole time outside. The boys laid down and rested next to me in the shade and enjoyed the nice breeze. As we were heading inside, I noticed there was a little green frog in the pool. I was going to touch him to see if he was alive and he quickly dove to the bottom! I was going to get him out, but couldn't get to him anymore... Zelda had moved to a spot in the shade from my car when I was leaving. I stopped to pet her a little more before I left. When I pulled up tonight Zelda was lounging out in the yard close by the mailbox. She pretty much stayed out in the front lawn the whole time I was visiting. The boys were happy to see me when I walked inside and eager to get outside to go potty. It didn't take too long for the heat to hit them though and they wanted to come back in. Baxter was really playful tonight, I went into the living room and we were playing around. Then Zeus came jogging up and layed down on his back and started wrestling around with us, it was pretty cute. We spent most of the time playing around inside but before leaving I went outside with them again so they had some more time to do their business. I gave some attention to Zelda out in the front lawn. She was in the same place out front as when I pulled in and stayed there as I left, just keeping an eye on the neighborhood. :)
Pippin
This afternoon Pippin was sitting at the top of the stairs when I came to see him. He rolled over on his side and started wagging his tail right away. I went up and carried him down to take him outside so he could go potty. He was a good boy! He did his business right away, then headed back to the door. After I carried him upstairs, he walked over to the couch and whined a little. I put him up on the couch and he crawled up to his perch to look out the window for mom and dad! This evening Pippin was waiting for me again. We took a nice little walk and he went potty for me. When we got back he ran into the bedroom to get a drink. Then he went over and sniffed at my things on the floor. I'm sure he could smell other puppies! He came over to me and I set him on the couch again. I sat with him and pet him for a long time. He got a couple treats today too!
Gracie
This morning Gracie was watching out her window when I came to see her. She ran right to the back door for me and went outside. We sat out there for awhile until Gracie was ready to go back in and cool down. She ran to her chair and curled up. I brought over her food bowl in case she was hungry. She did a funny little thing with her nose! She kept rubbing her nose on either side of the bowl and would nudge her food down. My dog does the same thing when she's trying to bury her bone! I sat with her for awhile and pet her. Tonight Gracie came running into the living room from the bedroom. She waited at the back door for me. I let her out first so she could go potty before I came out with her. She curled up in a patio chair so we stayed outside for a bit. When we came in, I pet her while she napped on her favorite chair. I brought her another treat to work on for the night before I left.
