Tipper, Mattie, Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy, & Charlie

Everything went fine this morning. I changed Charlie's water again today and he didn't want to give me the dish! He was playing tug-of-war with me. After I finally got it out, I walked over to the sink and realized that I was still holding the clothes pin... Sure enough he was out and climbing on the side of his cage. I put the dish away and opened the door to his cage. He walked right in for me! Phew! There was a chance of rain today, but not a very big one. So I decided to chance it and leave them out. I'd hate to lock them up all day and then have it not rain! I figured if I did keep them in I'd be driving out in the afternoon anyways. So if it did look like it was going to rain, I live close enough that I could just run over quick. I'm glad I did! It was nice out this morning, just cloudy and this afternoon the sun came out. Turned out to be a nice day! Everything went ok tonight too. I got Tipper in the laundry room since she didn't eat this morning. I checked on her later and she hadn't eaten anything... so I went in by her for a bit. I tapped on the bowl and told her she needed to eat, so then she'd take a bite and look at me. I got her to eat a little this way. Then she suddenly came and sat by me and put her head down. She seemed nervous so I sat on the floor and we snuggled for awhile. She started to eat again, so I let her be and went out by the others. Sugar comes running up to me along with Jimmy now. Mattie got jealous and started talking to me, so I had to go over and give her some love too! I gave Tipper her meds too and checked on her one last time before I left. I found her all snuggled on the blanket at the end of the bed! Everyone took their meds nicely for me tpday and went to bed with no problems. Such good puppies! :)

Roxy, Ralphi & Rudy

The pups had their breakfast this morning. It's going to be another really nice day, it was already so nice when I came to let them out. Roxy stayed by me most of the time, getting her tummy rubbed and basking in the sunlight! Ralphi actually wanted to play fetch this morning. He kept bringing me the log to throw. Rudy is starting to retrieve it more instead of just watching and letting Ralphi get it. Rudy would drop it right after he got it, then Ralphi would bring it back to me. I don't think Ralphi was too happy about that though, he seemed especially irritated with Rudy today. A couple times Rudy held onto it and chewed on it for awhile, so Ralphi would come for some attention. I brought everyone in and wiped their paws. While I was doing Rudy's paws, Ralphi started growling at him again. I didn't think too much of it since we were in the house, but then I looked down and he was peeing on my foot! lol I'm just glad it didn't get on the carpet. I'm not sure what that was all about, he's never done that before. Maybe he was just "claiming" me haha!

Everyone is doing fine today. It was so nice out today! I think it was a little warm for the pups though, since they kept trying to lay in the shadow of the hot tub. They were up to their usual, running and chasing around. This evening when I let them out they had so much energy! Rudy and Ralphi were running around the yard at top speed. After they settled down, Rudy was laying in the yard chewing on the log. Ralphi was very snuggly tonight. He was by me getting attention more than Roxy was, and she still was quite a bit. She was off investigating noises by the fence here and there. Later Ralphi brought me this little piece of wood (if you can even call it a stick). Rudy was still chewing on the log, so I threw it for him. Little did I know it was a decoy "stick"! As soon as I threw it, Rudy started searching for it and Ralphi bolted straight for the log!

You are very welcome! I know they miss you too! Tipper and Mattie greeted me at the door tonight, but when they realized it wasn't mom, went back to their business. I let the little ones in. They had such a nice day to play outside! Everyone took their meds very nicely for me again tonight. Sugar did a lot better this time. She didn't hide under the bed at all, and came by me a lot more. She even snuggled in my lap for a minute, till I must have moved and spooked her. Oops! But she came right back and wanted me to pet her some more. Tipper was sort of hanging out in the closet today. Not sure if that's her spot, but I sat by her for awhile both visits and rubbed her tummy (she kept rolling over for me). I tried, but she didn't feel like eating tonight. Everyone else kept munching on their food whenever I was near the kitchen. I went to put the little ones to bed before I left. Buddy went in very nicely for me, and so did Jimmy. I thought I was going to have to search for Sugar, but as soon as I shut Jimmy's door she came trotting into the room and went right in. Such a good girl! They all are very good. I can't wait to watch them again!

Tipper and Mattie both greeted me at the door this morning. Everyone was very excited to go out! Jimmie followed me around everywhere and was in my lap every chance he got. Such an attention hog! haha! Buddy was actually quite snuggly with me this morning too. He was right there with Jimmie most of the time wanting attention. Sugar kept her distance until I started giving meds. Then she was right there barking and waiting for her treat! She kept hiding under the bed after that. I called her a couple times then she'd appear and come sniff me and let me pet her for a couple minutes. Everyone, even Buddy, took their meds with no problem. Mattie kept rolling over in the kitchen and "swimming"  when I looked at her, so she got lots of tummy rubs this morning! Tipper did too, after I found her hiding out in the closet. It was already so nice out when I came. I could only get the three little ones to go outside, but they will have a beautiful day out there!

The puppies were still sleeping when I walked up today. Usually they see me coming and start barking. As soon as I woke them up they were ready to go! I let Tilly, Willie and Natilie out first. I think they're really going to enjoy being outside all day. It is already turning out to be an even more gorgeous day today! Since I didn't feed them this morning we spent more time playing outside and soaking up the sun. El Nino started chasing the Kitty around the yard today. She didn't like that too much! Maddie was busy rubbing her face on my legs and getting her back scratched. Spencer really wanted to go in the house today. He tried sticking his head into the doggie door a couple times. I'm sure they will be very excited that you guys will be back!

Everyone is doing fine today. They were all very excited to get out and play. Spencer, Maddie and Izzy hung out on the porch again today, but not as much. They did some exploring and chasing around a little bit too. When El Nino wasn't busy trying to get my attention he was having a blast chasing back and forth with Tilly and Natilie again along the fence. Spencer joined in the fun again today too. After Natilie got tired of chasing around she sprawled out on the grass and soaked up some sun. It was so beautiful out this afternoon! The kitty wasn't inside when I got there today, but she showed up shortly after I did to get her supper. She even came and layed out in the grass near the porch with the puppies for awhile.

Tilly, Willie, and Natilie announced my arrival today. I said hi to them and got some kisses through the fence. It was pretty windy out and still wet from the rain we've been having. They were very muddy! Everyone inside was very excited to go out. I fed the kitty and she let me pet her for awhile as she rubbed up on my legs. Once outside, Spencer, Maddie, and Izzy all went up and hung out by the door on the porch. I guess they thought they were going in. Spencer kept standing on his rear legs and doing a little dance. El Nino was constantly jumping up and kissing me, craving attention. He's such a cutie pie! I knelt down to pet the other three on the porch, and he was trying to get my attention so hard. He kept jumping up at me, and then he stopped. All of a sudden I felt someone licking my ear... he jumped up on the table to get my attention! Tilly and El Nino were having fun chasing back and forth along the fenceline. The others just watched at first, then Willie, Natalie and Spencer joined in the fun too! I took them all back inside after we were done playing and fed them. The other three were patiently waiting their turn inside as well.

This morning wasn't as chilly as yesterday, but cloudy. The boys were chasing each other as usual after finishing their breakfast. Roxie hung out by me most of the time and got her tummy rubs. After awhile they all kind of settled down a little bit. Rudy was content just laying down and chewing on the log. The other two were busy getting attention from me. Ralphi kept trying to steal my hand from petting Roxie. Then those two started chasing each other around every now and again. Rudy would break it up by going over and jumping towards them. After that he would go back to chewing and they would come back to me for more attention! After we were done I think they were ready to go in. They were all right there with me as I headed for the door. I put them to bed, said goodbye and told them I'll see them again soon. Oh and before I forget, thank you for the note, it was so sweet!

Roxie, Ralphi & Rudy

I think it was a little chilly for Ralphi this morning. His little legs were shivering while he was eating his breakfast! After they were done eating and started running around I think they warmed up ok though. I hope you don't mind, but I split up the other two visits a little bit today. It was sooo beautiful out that I just had to let them play outside longer this afternoon! We tried playing fetch a little, but Ralphi just didn't want to give up his log very much. I found a little stick that I got to throw for Rudy a couple times, but then he shredded it! Roxie found a little hole in the fence that she could stick her nose into. There must have been something interesting on the other side because she kept going over there to investigate. This evening was still really nice out. The boys were tearing around the yard as fast as they could and Roxie just kept rolling over by my feet. Today I worked on making Rudy sit when he came by me (so he wouldn't get so excited and jump up) and then petting him. They all got a lot of tummy rubs and back scratches today, and in return I got a lot of slobbery kisses!
