I had a couple little sleepyheads at my first visit today! Hunter was first to greet me at the door. Then, Riley finally came out of the bedroom to say hi too. I let Hunter outside right away, but he didn't leave the porch. Riley wouldn't even go that far, as it was dark and pouring rain outside. Hunter made sure to point out his ball before he came back in. Next, I got their breakfast ready. Hunter came and sat in the kitchen with me, but wasn't interested. Soon, he joined Riley and snuggled up on the bed. Sleepy puppies! This afternoon they were much more lively and ready to go outside! Riley quickly did her business, then patiently waited while I wiped her paws. Hunter was next, and was just as good. We had fun in the livingroom this afternoon. They were loving every bit of attention! I sat down on the Ottoman and they both came over for back scratches. I started getting Riley's hiney and she sat right down on my lap! That got me laughing. I guess that doesn't count as being on the furniture right? Haha! I laughed even harder when Hunter did it a couple minutes later. Riley eventually wandered off to the bedroom again. I followed to try and coax her back out in the living room with me. She met me carrying a slipper! I saw where she got it from and placed it back. We had plenty more back scratches in the living room before it was time to go. This evening both pups excitedly met me at the door. We headed to the back to go outside and I noticed Riley was carrying my shoe! Silly girl. They went out for a few minutes and did their business. I added some fresh canned food to their dinner to try and get them to eat for me. I ended up hand feeding them a few handfuls, then they got to eating on their own. After Riley finished, she carried her bowl into the other room to give it a few last licks. They were both happy to get more back scratches and even a couple belly rubs tonight.
