Poppy, Pita & Simon

Today when I walked in, I saw a flash of black. Simon was under the bed in the living room, and he was racing for the bedroom! The other two came over to say hi right away. They both waited in the kitchen and stared at me while I got their yums. I guess they were hungry! Haha. Pita went to work on hers right away. Poppy had started to nibble, but then she came to see what I was doing in the bathroom. When she saw I was just cleaning their box, she went back to eat. When I was done, I went to visit with them awhile. Pita came over to lay by me and be pet. She purred away the whole time. Poppy was in play mode! She started chasing the feather toy right away. She went to hide under the bed again. I moved the kitty toy outside of the blanket and she would attack from behind it! Little paws would appear from underneath to grab the toy. She played like that for quite awhile. Pita had eventually gone to sit on top of her kitty tower. I pet her a little again before I left.

Sadi & Stormy

This morning it was storming outside when I got there. I went right to work getting their food ready. Stormy was busy talking to me the whole time. She got busy eating, while I took care of Sadi. Her nose was a little crusty, but she sounded good once I got her cleaned up. She took her meds, then I set her by the food to eat. She ate very well again this morning! This evening I found Sadi sleeping on the floor in there. I woke her up for her medicine. Her nose wasn't bad tonight and she sounded pretty clear. When she was done, I put her in her bed. I didn't see Stormy tonight, so she must have been lounging on the patio.

Rusty & Ruby

This afternoon I let miss Ruby out and called for Rusty. I kept calling for him, but he wasn't having any of hot weather today! Ruby had already wandered out. She was waiting for me on the patio. I walked out to the grass and called her to come out. She did, and did one of her duties. She was trying to head back inside, so I called her back out by me. She did her thing like a good girl. When she was done, Ruby headed back inside the cool house. Ruby curled up on the couch. Rusty had been in the front room, but he came to keep her company in the living room instead.

Oscar

My buddy made sure he was at the door to say hi today! He stopped for his heiny scratches, then we headed outside. Since it had rained this morning, the grass was pretty wet. Oscar and the neighbor dogs were all at the front of their yards, barking at something. The neighbor pups got scolded. Oopsie! I called Oscar to come back by me so they would all quiet down. Oscar found a spot to lounge for a little while. I grabbed a stick and threw it around for him when he was ready to play. It didn't take long for him to get bored. He then tried to go lay in the mud! I called him back up to the patio by me. After I got him cleaned up, we went inside. Oscar sprawled out on his ottoman. We played a little inside until it was time to go. He did his tricks for his favorite snack. He's such a good little cutie!

Eddie & Butler

Today I let Eddie out and he went to sit next to Butler's cage to wait for me. He was trying to mess with me while I got Butler's spray on. Once we finished, we headed outside. The boys were down by the fence, checking things out. They would take a break to roll around or lounge in the grass. If one would hear a noise, then they'd both race over to check it out. I was surprised at how long they stayed out this afternoon, since it was pretty hot out. I had to go in to cool down first. Haha. They came in right after me to relax. Butler lounged on his table and Eddie cooled off on the tile.

Winston

Today Winston was ready to head outside. I got his leash on and we went out. It was hot again today, but we did still walk around for awhile. He was busy snifferin' away. When he was getting warm, we went back home. Winston ran around and hopped on the couch once I took his harness off. He got his rope for me and we played tug for a little bit. Then, he was all about shredding on it. I was teasing him a little today by making goofy noises. He would tilt his head or look at me like, "What are you doing crazy lady?!" Then he would bark at me. Haha! When it was time, he went to his room while I got him some water. He got his cookie before I left.

Rusty & Ruby

This afternoon Ruby came out of her bed and Rusty hopped down from his chair. We all wandered outside. Rusty and Ruby both went potty, then plopped down in the grass for awhile. Miss Ruby came by to head inside, but I called for her so she would finish her business. So, she sat by me for some heiny scratches. After that, she did her thing and lounged around a little longer. Today the sun wasn't blazing down on us, so it wasn't quite as hot out. Rusty came over and we got a few throws in. Soon, the pups were ready to head inside.

Chica & Paco

Today Chica was sitting by the scratching post and Paco was on his way down from the couch when I walked in. He came over and was attached to my legs immediately. Chica hopped up on the counter for some pets, while I got their snack ready. They both worked on that until I finished cleaning their box. They were both waiting for me in the living room when I was done. I had miss Chica chasing the feather toy all over the place! Meanwhile, I kept Paco busy with the other one. They still haven't learned to let go once they catch it though! Haha. They just sit on it for awhile. Chica wanted some pets so she came and wiggled her way under my arm. Paco was bumping his head against mine and wanting some attention too! They're both so sweet.

Winston

Today I got Winston's harness on, then away we went. It was hot out again today, but the sun wasn't blazing down on us. So, we were able to get a longer walk in this afternoon. When we went back inside, Winston hopped on the couch by all of his toys. He was king of the mountain! Or the couch really... haha. He came down with his green bone and wanted to play tug. We got a good game of fetch in with it too. I asked where his rope was, then he wandered over to it and tried to cram that and his green bone in his mouth at the same time! He gave up and just came back with his bone. I asked him again, then this time he just went to get the rope and left the bone with me.  We played some more tug. When it was time, he went to his room and got a yummy cookie.

Eddie & Butler

This afternoon Eddie pushed open his door, once I unlocked it. He wandered over by Butler's cage with me and was busy trying to steal kisses. I got Butler's medicine applied, then we all went out. Eddie was having a great time rolling around in the grass! Butler just sprawled out next to him, while he was being silly. Eddie kept checking all the holes for critters, by sticking his head way in and pawing in there. What a goof. They were in and out again today, getting drinks of water. When it was just about time to head in, they went in on their own and lounged around to cool off.
