Shadow

This morning Shadow was peeking his nose out the door at me as soon as I opened it. He had eaten well overnight. I opened him a fresh can of his prescription food for him to start with. He went and sniffed at it. I guess he's holding out for the good stuff this morning! He sat on the bathroom counter as I scooped his box quick. He followed me back to the living room. Shadow plopped down on the floor by his spinning ball toy. He laid there and pawed at his green feather ball. Then, he came over and started trying to mouth on me. I could tell he was in a playful mood this morning. I got out his feather toy and he just went crazy! He rolled around, leaped after it and flailed about. It was quite entertaining! At one point I think he startled himself and he went racing off to the bedroom! He eventually came back out and had a bite to eat. This evening Shadow must have been napping. He didn't come out to see me until I had opened the fridge to get out his food. He turned his nose up at his special food at first again. He was a bit more snuggly tonight and curled up in my lap awhile. We did play with his toy for awhile too. I went and got him some yummy food, just so he would work on eating a bit while I was there. That's what he was waiting for! He chowed down the little bit I gave him. We waited a bit, then he got some more. As I was getting him a little more, he decided he was going to work on his special diet in the mean time. Silly kitty! After he was full again, he lounged on the back of the couch for a bit.

Sadi & Stormy

This morning I heard Stormy hop down from her chair while I got their food together. She just sat under the table though. Maybe she didn't want her meds... haha. I went and got her to get that done quick. She was a lovey girl again today and was following me everywhere. Sadi wasn't under the bed, so I had to pass through the living room to check the patio. Stormy trotted along ahead and stopped to sit in our spot. When I kept going, she quickly turned her head from side to side. "Hey, where are you going?!" Sadi was out on the patio, enjoying the cool morning. She had a cozy spot on her bed in the sunshine. I brought her in for her meds, and Stormy tagged along. Once we finished, the girls got their attention time! Sadi would rub her head against Stormy while I brushed, then Stormy would give her a few kisses on top of the head. So sweet! They both sat with me the whole time today.

Shadow

This morning I saw Shadow had dragged his white bed to the living room. I got him some fresh food to work on right away. He ate a good amount for me, then came running to sit in the bathroom and watch me scoop his litter box. He came trotting along to the living room to curl up in my lap for awhile. He just purred the whole time. I noticed he likes to snuggle by resting his head against my cheek. So sweet! We took a break to get him some yummy food to work on, which he did eat some right away. Then, he curled up in my lap some more. This evening, I saw his bed was back in the living room. I guess he just wants it in there! He turned his nose up at his prescription food at first, and followed me to check his box, as usual. He snuggled up with me for a little bit. But, he was being a little sassy tonight! He kept trying to nibble on me. Eventually, I got him to play with some toys instead. He got very spunky, flailing about as he grabbed onto his feather toy. Then suddenly, he would pop up and walk away, like it never happened. He did that a couple times. He makes me laugh! Since he wasn't nibbling on his special food, I got him some yummy stuff instead. He ate that with no problems. He snuggled in my lap once more for the day, before it was time to go.

Sadi & Stormy

This morning Stormy hopped down and came into the kitchen right away to see me. I scooped her up to get her meds done and out of the way. She sat under the table until I finished getting their food ready. Then, she followed me to go eat, while Sadi got her meds. Both girls then joined me in the living room. They each laid in front of me for attention. Stormy was sure a lovey girl this morning! Both their motors were going. Stormy would quiet down slightly if I stopped petting her for a second, then she would get really loud when I started again. Haha!

Oreo & Stuffs

Today Oreo joined me in the kitchen and rubbed against my legs as I got their food ready. He sat and nibbled a bit, while I scooped their box. I went to the living room and Oreo came running! He plopped next to me and started rubbing his face on me. He enjoyed a long session of back scratches. I still hadn't seen Stuffs, so I went upstairs to check there. Nope! I went to the bedroom then, and spotted him out of the corner of my eye. He was laying on the couch in the corner. He sat up when he saw me, and got some chin scratches. I went back to visit with Oreo some more. Stuffs must have been comfy where he was, as he didn't come out to see me. Oreo didn't mind getting all of my attention!

Shadow

This morning I walked in to lots of little pieces of cardboard on the floor in the laundry room. Someone was having fun while I was gone! Shadow had finished all his food from last night. Instead of eating right away this morning, he decided to tag along while I cleaned his box. He came running along behind me! That made me laugh. He was much more interested in being snuggly this morning, verses eating his breakfast. He kept climbing up in my lap for attention. He did eat some for me, but didn't take as many breaks as yesterday. This evening Shadow came down the hallway to meet me in the kitchen. He curled himself around my legs as I got his food together. He took a couple bites, then followed me to go check his box. I noticed his white bed had disappeared from the room. He sat on the counter and purred at me, while I got him some fresh water. As we walked into the living room, I saw that was where his bed had migrated to. Shadow was a snuggly little guy again tonight. He spent most of the time curled up on my lap. I got him some more food before I left. Since he knew I was leaving, he decided to go eat.

Shadow

This morning Shadow came wandering in to see me. He had cleaned his plates from last night again. Good kitty! I got him some food to work on right away. He nibbled a bit, then followed me around. He came galloping behind me as I went to go check his box. I noticed he had relocated both of his beds last night! After I finished scooping, Shadow came to sit in my lap a bit. He purred away as I pet him. All that purring worked up his appetite, so he went to nibble some more. When he had eaten enough of his special food, I got him some tasty stuff to work on. This evening I saw Shadow had only cleaned his "yummy food" plate. He seems to eat his special food better overnight than in the afternoon. He circled my legs while I chopped up his special diet serving. He promptly ate some, then joined me in the living room. He kept standing in my lap for some pets. Then, he would walk a circle around me. Shadow seemed rather interested in my knees tonight. He kept giving me light little licks on each knee. One time his little tongue got stuck out of his mouth! Haha! We had fun with his feather toy tonight in between his snacking. He was rolling around, biting and kicking at it! Before I left, I got him some more of each kind of food.

Oreo & Stuffs

Today Oreo came brushing up against my legs as I walked into the kitchen. I didn't even see where he had come from. Sneaky! He followed me around while I took care of their things. I saw Stuffy was all curled up on the bed, looking comfy. Oreo sat in the bedroom and waited for me to clean their box. He joined me in the living room and plopped himself on the floor. He kept rubbing his face on my knee, over and over again, as I pet him. Stuffs came in to see me shortly after. He let me pet him a little, then he laid down just out of reach. Oreo and I played with a couple toys next. I set the feather toy on his head and he sat like that for awhile. That gave me a laugh! Later, I got the boys their food, so they took a break to snack a bit. Oreo came back when he was finished, and decided to sit and look out the window.

Sadie, Zoie & Cole

Sadie sat right up in her bed when she heard me come in. I let her out and she bounced circles around me as I went to let out the other two! We all headed outside for awhile. Neighbor dogs were out on either side of the yard as well. Sadie ran to the back of the yard to say hi to the pups. I carried Cole out to the grass, but he followed me back to the door. I sat down at the door step and he sat with me, enjoying some back scratches. Zoie was sniffing at the bushes, looking for her bees. Naughty! She got bored with that pretty quick though. She brought her toy over to me, and actually gave it to me for once! So, we played some fetch. A couple times Sadie saw her running after the toy and would get all riled up. She would race around the yard, leaping over the bushes and running as fast as she could! Sadie stopped by me now and again to give me a few kisses and to get some attention. When it was time, we headed inside. Zoie and Cole went in their beds easily for me. When I walked back to the living room for Sadie, she rolled to her back and flailed her legs around, being silly. I had to bribe her to finally get her to go.

Shadow

This morning I saw Shadow had polished his plate off and finished both kinds of food I had left for him. He ate much better for me today than yesterday! He met me in the kitchen, while I got his plate ready. Shadow followed me to the pantry to pick out a new can of food. He was happy to eat a fresh batch of his prescription food right away for me. He nibbled, while I cleaned his box. He came and sat on my lap a bit for some attention. He would take breaks to go eat a little more for me. After he ate some of his yummy food, we played with some of his toys. He chased after the stick toy as I moved it around for him. He tumbled around trying to catch it. Then, he took off down the hallway. This evening Shadow had left the special diet food alone, but ate everything else I had left. He ate right away once I got him some fresh food. He was being a little spunky tonight! He crawled up into my lap for awhile, then thought he'd give my arm a lick. Then I saw that look in his eye... as he started to try and give me a love nip. I was too quick for him though! Haha! I got out his feather toy and we played with that instead. All the while, he kept taking some food breaks, like a good kitty. Shadow would occasionally disappear down the hallway today. One time, I decided to go see what he was up to. Now I know why! He was sitting in the window, soaking up the warm sunshine. I gave him a pet, then got him a little more food before I left.
