Riley, Hunter & Sadie

This morning a sleepy Hunter met me at the door. The girls came wandering out from the bedroom. They did their thing while I got breakfast ready. They came inside and Hunter ate his food. The girls weren't really interested, even with my encouragement. Hunter wanted to play after he finished, and kept standing over by where his toy was "hidden" and would bark. "C'mon, its right in here. Let's play!" This afternoon Hunter sure knew what time it was! He was bouncing up and down and barking excitedly. I let them all out while I grabbed his ball. We played a long game of fetch until he was getting warm. We headed in for him to cool off a bit, and went out again later. Riley was being all silly and was carrying Sadie's food dish around again. She wasn't eating the food, but was just taking the dish to different spots and playfully pushing it around! We headed outside again for awhile. I noticed Hunter had a bit of diarrhea and made sure to give him some extra time out there. This evening I walked in and noticed Hunter had had a booboo in the house. I put the pups outside quick, then got started on picking up. When they were all watching me through the window, I let them in and got their dinner ready. I went back to cleaning and later gave the pups one more potty break before bedtime.

Sadi & Stormy

This morning I walked in and started mixing some food for the girls. Stormy heard me and came wandering in from the patio. She came in the kitchen and started rubbing up against my legs. She was quite talkative this morning too! I guess she was a hungry girl. I gave her dose of medicine quick, then she followed me with the bowls of food. She got right to work, while I went to get Sadi. Sadi was snoozing away under the foot of the bed. I got her all cleaned up and gave her her medicine as well. I sat her down by the food and she turned around and headed for her spot in the living room. She purred away while she was brushed. Sadi rubbed her head against my arm or knee while I got her back. She's such a cutie pie! Stormy was grooming herself and laying in the sunlight coming through the windows. She eventually wandered off to the bedroom again. I took Sadi back in by the food before I left, and Stormy growled at her! I noticed Stormy had already eaten almost all the canned food from both bowls (I had even given them some extra today). So, Sadi went back out to the living room. I grabbed a bowl and got some more food in it and placed it in front of Sadi. She ate a good amount of that.

Hudson, Zel, Gabbie, Blackie & Sparkles

This morning Blackie wandered off to explore when I opened the door for him. I saw Sparkles in the kitchen when I walked in. She made sure to stay out of the way when I let the pups out. Once all three were out doing their business, I came in to get their breakfast ready. Sparkles was following me around and meowing at me. She was quite talkative today! I stopped to give her a little attention. Then, I went out to bring the little ones back in and dry their feet off. They came in and everyone got to work on their breakfast. Sparkles sat with me for a few back scratches, until Hudson finished and took over her spot! Zel finished and decided to chew on her bone a bit. When Gabbie was done, she hopped up on the couch behind me and was trying to crawl on top of my head! After they all had a chance to get a drink, they got to go out and play for awhile. Blackie came back to visit me this time.

Hudson, Zel, Gabbie, Blackie & Sparkles

This evening I headed inside and Blackie wandered over to say hi. I pet him for a minute before going in to see the little ones. They were all bouncing around in their beds when they heard me! I let all three out for a quick potty break before dinner. Hudson did his thing, then was ready to go in and eat. Everyone polished off their bowls pretty quick tonight! Hudson and I sat in the living room while the girls finished. First, he stood on my lap, then he hopped on the couch behind me to give me a good sniff on top of my head. After a yummy snack, we all went back outside for awhile. Blackie got one too! The pups spent quite awhile exploring out in the back. Hudson was sitting and listening to the drums we could hear in the distance. Then, he heard a dog and went racing to the other side of the yard. Eventually, it was time to head inside for bed.

Riley, Hunter & Sadie

This morning I came in to see some sleepy puppies! They were walking over too see me, but not quite as amped up as usual. It looks like all three had been snoozing in the bedroom. They went outside while I got their breakfast ready. Riley and Hunter were peering in at me when they were ready to come inside. I gave Sadie her medicine, then told everyone to go eat their breakfast. Riley sat under the table by me, so I set her bowl down right in front of her. I gave her a few little pieces, then she got to eating on her own. Hunter and Sadie were already working on theirs, so no one needed much help from me today. Everyone ate very well! This afternoon the big pups met me at the door and we made our way out back. Riley had fun rolling around in the grass a bit. Hunter and Sadie wandered around and checked things out. This evening Hunter and Riley were waiting for me and were super excited this time! I think Hunter was wanting to play fetch again. They went outside for their potty break. Sadie was ready for her treat when she came in! She was following me around and giving me her big puppy dog eyes. I tossed a little piece of treat in each of their bowls after that. That got them all started on their dinner too. Riley made me laugh tonight. Apparently, food tastes so much better in someone else's bowl. She decided to go eat out of Sadie's dish, then carried it into the dining room to finish off. So, I dumped more of her food into that bowl, and she did that a few more times! Silly girl.

Riley, Hunter & Sadie

This morning, both Riley and Hunter were looking out at me through the window. They were bouncing up and down as soon as I walked in. Riley scooped up one of my shoes right away too! I let the pups all go out and do their business while I got breakfast ready. They lined up at the door when they were ready to come back in. Sadie got her meds. Hunter took a couple minutes, but then he got to work on his breakfast. Sadie wandered over to her bowl and nibbled just a bit. Riley laid down in the dining room, so I called her over to give her a little help. I offered her a few pieces of the canned food, then a couple handfuls of her food to wet her appetite. Then, she was eating on her own and licked her bowl clean! We all went outside again for awhile after they finished. This afternoon Hunter was bouncing like crazy, excited to go out. Riley brought one of my shoes along to the back door. She almost didn't want to give it to me! Haha! All three went outside and we enjoyed some of the gorgeous afternoon. I no more than walked outside with them, and Hunter was already barking for me to play fetch. I got out his toy and we played another long game. The ladies were busy sniffing about the yard, being sure to get out of the way if Hunter was racing towards them. We came in so Hunter could get a drink and cool down. Later, we went out again so he could take another potty break after drinking so much water. Hunter and Riley were both barking at me through the window this evening. They are always so happy to see me! I let them out while I closed blinds and got their dinner ready. I sat down at the table when they came in so they would eat. Hunter and Sadie did very well and got right to work. Sadie didn't finish, but she did a pretty good job tonight!

Sadi & Stormy

Today I saw Stormy was sitting under the dining table. She was just lounging, soaking up some sun. I mixed together a couple new cans of food for them, then got some ready for today. I took that to their room and Stormy was following. Before she got to eat, I scooped her up and took her back to the kitchen for her meds. Then, she was free to go get some food. I went out to the patio to look for Sadi. She had the perfect spot! It was so nice out there. There was a cool breeze and the sun was shining. Sadi was tucked in the corner, curled up and warm from the sunlight. She had a very crusty nose today. Poor girlie! I got her all cleaned up and gave her her meds as well. She sounded much better once I got all that yuck off her nose. She headed right for the living room when I set her down. We went to our spot for her attention time. Sadi purred away as I brushed. She even rubbed her head against my arm as I went over her to brush her. Stormy came back from eating and went to where I found her, then gave herself a grooming.

Riley, Hunter & Sadie

This morning I came in and Riley and Hunter were sliding around the corner, racing to come see me! I let Hunter out, then called for Riley, who had disappeared. She came over, heiny wiggling, with my shoe in her mouth! I had forgotten that she liked shoes! I sent her out next, then got miss Sadie to come out with me. The pups did their business and wandered around the yard a bit. The grass was wet this morning, so paws had to be wiped before we went in. I got them their breakfast and gave Sadie her pill. I got Sadie to nibble on some of her food for me! Hunter gobbled down his bowl as well. This afternoon Hunter was right there to greet me. Riley must have been taking a nap in the bedroom. I let all three pups outside. Then, I headed in to grab Hunter's favorite thing! It was a gorgeous afternoon and the grass seemed to be dry now. We got a pretty long game of fetch in. I think he would play all day if I let him! I put his toy away again once I felt he was getting too warm. He headed in to get a drink and to plop down on the tile to cool off. Sadie actually stayed out a little longer to do some exploring. When she was ready, she came in and curled back up on her bed. This evening Hunter was super excited that I was there and was bouncing all over! I let them out while I started to close blinds. I got their dinner ready and let them back inside. Sadie took her treat and pill well. I tossed a little piece of treat in each food bowl and that got the girls to nibble a little. Hunter worked on his dinner and did well.

Riley, Hunter & Sadie

Today Riley and Hunter were at the door barking as I was coming in. They recognized me right away. Then, those "who's here" barks turned into happy, "let's play" barks! I saw miss Sadie all curled up on her pillow on the couch. She sat straight up and was curious. I went to let the big pups outside. Then, I let Sadie give me a sniff. She was pretty shy, but didn't seem to mind me. Outside, Hunter immediately wanted me to play fetch. He sure remembers! The grass was a bit too wet out, so I put his toy away for now. This evening both Riley and Hunter met me at the door excitedly. All three puppies went outside for a potty break, while I got their dinner ready. Sadie came in and sniffed at her bowl, but wasn't interested for now. I gave her her medication and she took it well for me. She seems to be warming up to me pretty quick! I tried to ignore them a little so they would eat their dinner for me. It worked for Hunter and he polished off his bowl. Riley wasn't too interested either. Maybe tomorrow! After Hunter was done, we all went back outside for a bit before bedtime.

Sadi & Stormy

Today I found Stormy out on the patio, curled up on her bed. She was on her back, with her little toes up in the air! She was being a little sassy when I tried to pick her up today, so I waited until she got up on her own. She was fine after that and took her meds well. I got their food ready, then went back out to get Sadi. She was also on the patio, just sitting and soaking up some sunshine. I gave her her meds, then set her by the food. She wandered off to wait for me in the living room. She got plenty of pets and brushes today! She enjoyed every bit of that. She wasn't thrilled about me wiping her nose a few more times, but she's so good. She knew she'd get more attention of course!
