Brady & Lucy

This morning Brady and Lucy both came bouncing to the front door to say hi. I let them outside right away and Lucy got right to running her laps. Someone had had a boo boo overnight, so I cleaned that up while they played outside. When I finished, I got them their breakfast and left the inside door open, so they could go in and out as they pleased. I sat outside with them for awhile. A little neighbor Boston came outside his house, so Lucy and Brady went racing to the fence to get a closer look. This evening Brady and Lucy both were right at the door to see me. I sent them outside to do their business, while I got their dinner ready and mixed in their yummy canned food. I could see Brady staning up in a chair on the patio, looking in through the window at me! I let them back in and they started to nibble a bit. They spent awhile outside afterwards, exploring and talking to the neighborhood.

Jack & Gracie

This morning Gracie was up and ready to greet me. As I stood there giving her a couple good morning pets, I heard a rustling sound in the office. Jack was just getting up, and he had been snoozing under the desk! We all headed outside for a few minutes, before they had their breakfast. When they finished, we went out to enjoy the morning. Both pups found a good spot to lay and relax. This afternoon Jack came out of his spot under the desk again, and we all headed outside. It was pretty warm out again, but the pups had no problems doing a little sunbathing when they got out. They each laid flat on their sides in the grass together. So funny! After awhile, Jack came in the shade by me. Gracie found me her green squeaky bone to throw around a bit. She kept sticking her heiny in the air, then would finally bring it to me. Later, she came and messed with Jack a bit. So then, when she was back to playing fetch, he returned the favor by pawing back at her! This evening Jack and Gracie were both up and at the door to see me. I went to let them out and noticed someone had an upset tummy while I was gone. I let them play outside a bit while I cleaned up. They came in to eat. Both ate well, so we're good there. We went outside for a little bit longer before bedtime. Gracie was having a blast playing with her little hedgehog toy! It was pretty muggy out, so Jack just laid by me on the patio until we headed in. They each got a bedtime snack before I left.

Brady & Lucy

Tonight both pups met me at the door. They were bouncing up and down nonstop! We headed outside right away. Lucy made me laugh. She started tearing around the yard, running laps and barking without a care in the world. She'd zoom around, stop by me for a pet or two, then take off again. Brady came and rolled over for some belly scratches. Later, we went in and I got their dinner ready. Oddly enough, Brady wasn't too interested, but Lucy sat and nibbled on hers a bit. They were more interested in playing! We headed outside a bit longer until they were getting warm. I sat in the kitchen with them and they made me laugh some more. I had the inside door open. Brady would let out a little growl, then Lucy would zoom out the door to investigate! This happened about three or four times in a row. I'm not sure what they were so excited about. The neighbor dogs came out later, so Lucy and Brady raced them along the fence. I watched to make sure they didn't sneak out. When it was time, they headed inside for the night.

Jack & Gracie

This morning Gracie met me at the front door and Jack wandered over to the back door to go out. They took a potty break, then Jack was bouncing around excitedly, ready for his breakfast! He went in his room to eat, while I waited with Gracie. It took her a minute, but then she got started and finished off her food. We headed back outside for the rest of the time. It was pretty humid out this morning, so I decided to keep them in. While we were out there, Gracie brought me her bone for a little game of fetch. Then, she spent a good amount of time pestering Jack! Those two wrestled around and had some fun. This afternoon the pups and I sat outside. It was shady on the patio and there was a good breeze. Gracie and Jack both sprawled out in the grass and did some sunbathing. Later, Jack came and sat on the patio with me. Gracie roamed around and explored. I heard her crunching on something loud, so I went to check that out. She had a small piece of hard plastic that I had to confiscate. So, she decided to instigate a game of wrestling with Jack instead! This evening the pups went outside for a couple minutes. It wasn't long before Jack was getting excited for his dinner. We went in so they could eat, then spent some more time outside. Gracie brought another toy out tonight and I tossed it around for her. She and Jack spent awhile wandering around and sniffing at things. Jack came and laid at my feet until Gracie started pawing at him! We went inside and they continued their wrestling. Before I left, they followed me into the laundry room to get their bedtime snack.

Jackie & Meeko

This morning Jackie took his usual potty break before I got their breakfast ready. Jackie and I got ready, then went for a nice long walk this morning. Lots of people were out and about, so he kept getting excited, wanting to go say hi to everyone! Once we got home, Jackie worked on his breakfast, while Meeko got some attention. This afternoon Jackie went outside for a little while. Then, it was bath time! He was such a good boy for me. He stood there and lapped the water from the shower head while I scrubbed. He stood very still and didn't try to jump out once. I towel dried him, then he went tearing around the house like crazy! He was so funny. He went outside for a little bit afterwards, and I got him a kong snack before I left.

Jack & Gracie

This afternoon Gracie was right at the door, ready to come in. Jack wasn't far behind her. Gracie ran right for her toys and brought over her little hedgehog for me to throw, just like old times! Jack sprawled out on the hardwood floor to cool off a little. I had Gracie zooming down the hallway and around the living room. She sure loves to slide on that floor. Later, she just wanted belly rubs and kept coming by me and would roll onto her back. Eventually, she was ready to play again and picked out her green bone toy for me to toss around for her. I made sure they had some fresh, cool water and gave them each a treat before I left. This evening Gracie was bouncing up and down at me as soon as I got in. I let the pups outside for a quick potty break. They came in and both ate their dinner for me. When they finished, we headed outside again for a bit. Jack sat with me for some back scratches, while I played fetch with Gracie. Soon we headed in since it was still pretty hot out. Gracie played a little more fetch. Then, Jack and Gracie had their wrestling match. They each got a treat before I left.

Sadi & Stormy

I wasn't greeted by miss Stormy today when I came in, so I went out on the patio to find her. She hopped down from her chair and started to roll around on the ground. She followed me inside while I got their food ready. Sadi was sleeping under the bed today and I felt bad that I had to wake her up! She was sleeping so soundly, all curled up in a ball. She got her meds, then I set her by the food. Today, she nibbled a little before coming in the living room. I sat down by her and gave her some attention. I found a good spot and had her little leg going. She kept scratching at me while I was itching her, trying to help me. Haha! Stormy walked a couple cirles around me, then laid in her spot on the cardboard.

Jackie & Meeko

This morning Jackie and I headed outside right away. He did his business, then we went in to feed Meeko. Jackie and I went on our walk right away. He bounced around for quite awhile before he sat to get his collar on. I guess he was just a little excited! We took a nice long walk. When we got home I let him eat his breakfast. Then, we spent a few minutes outside. Jackie was zooming around like a crazy man! He picked up his snake toy and brought it over. When I reached for it, he'd take off running laps and bouncing around the yard. What a goof! This afternoon the temperature wasn't as hot, but with the heat index and humidity it was pretty toasty. Jackie and I went outside while he enjoyed his last ice treat. He worked on that for quite awhile, then we went inside. Meeko came and curled up on my lap in the chair, wary of Jackie anytime he came close. But, while Jackie chased around his yellow ball, Meeko thoroughly enjoyed his one-on-one attention time. Jackie brought me his sock toy for some fetch, then he went back to playing with his ball. This evening, Jackie went out potty quick before dinner. Both Jackie and Meeko worked on supper, then Jackie and I played inside a bit. When he was getting bored with that, we went back outside. He played some keep away while prancing around with his stick. When it was time to head in, I got him a couple snacks to work on for his kong toy.

Mac

Today Mac got right up from his little dirt bed and stood up at the gate to see me. I gave him a couple pets quick, then came in the yard with him. He trotted along ahead of me to wait by the container for his toy. I got his rope out and he crouched down, ready to go chase after it! Today he walked towards his pool a couple times, but then decided he wasn't quite ready to cool off. Eventually, he wandered over and laid down awhile. We got a longer game of fetch in today before he started getting tired. He came over while I filled his water buckets and got himself a drink from the running water. Then, he went to lay in the shade and wait for me to finish. I added some extra water to his pool, since it's going to be the hottest day out for us so far.

Sadi & Stormy

Today Stormy came trotting over to the door when I came in. She saw it was just me, then took off into the living room. Then, she plopped down on the cardboard, while I got their food ready. I took that into their room, then went to look for Miss Sadi. She was laying out in the sunshine on the patio. She sounded a bit stuffier today. I took her into the bathroom to give her medications and clean her up. Once I got all the goobers out she sounded a bit better. She came out in the living room again right away, instead of nibbling. She sat with me and enjoyed a long chest and chin scratch session. Stormy was happy just laying on her cardboard today. Silly girl!
