Mac

Today Mac must have been napping when I arrived. I was half way in the yard before he made his way to see me. I came a little ealier than yesterday, because I knew it'd be a hot one. It was slightly cooler for us, but not much! I got out his rope and we got started on our game of fetch. I faked him out a couple times today, pretending like I was going to throw it one direction, but threw it another instead. It only took those couple times before he caught on! Then, he'd hesitate just long enough to make sure he was running the right way. He took several dips in his pool to cool off. Eventually, it was time for him to eat, so I put his rope away for the day.

Sadi & Stormy

Today I didn't hear any kitties when I first came in, so I went ahead and got their food ready. As I was walking it to their room, I heard the jingle of Stormy's collar behind me. She stopped in the bedroom, so I sat with her for a minute to say hi. When she wandered in to eat, I went to go find Sadi. She was lounging out on the patio, sitting in the warm sunlight. I took her in for her medicine. She does sound better! We got her meds taken care of, then she got to eat a little. Sadi came wandering out for her attention time when she was done. Later, Stormy came zooming through the living room to her window. I don't know what that was all about! She eventually came over by us as well and laid on the cardboard. She wasn't too worried about getting attention today, but just wanted to be close to us.

Jackie & Meeko

This morning Jackie went out potty quick before we got on our way. Meeko got fed before we left too, since he was pacing! Haha! Jackie was a very excited boy on our walk this morning. Every little sound or animal he saw had him bouncing up and down. Such a curious pup! We got back home and he chowed down on his breakfast. This afternoon I made him some more frozen treats for this week. Then, we went outside for a bit. He did his thing while I scooped the yard. After I finished, we played some fetch with his snake and his stick. He doesn't realize how long that stick is! He tried going between me and the deck while carrying it, and rammed right into my legs. He stopped and gave me this funny look! It was pretty warm out and he didn't have an ice treat for today, so we played inside a bit and cooled off. We played tug awhile, then he had fun rolling around on the floor. Later, Jackie finally played with his purple ball for me! It was the funniest thing to hear him grumble at it and paw it around. This evening was a little too warm for a walk. Jackie and I went out back after feeding Meeko. I got Jackie one of his ice treats to work on. Then, we headed in so he could eat his dinner and play inside a bit.

Mac

Today the lawn people had been there before I arrived. I made sure to check all the gates right away. Mac met me and was excited to start playing. I got out his toy, which was still a bit damp from yesterday! He of course didn't mind at all. We played for awhile and he took his breaks in the pool. I put some more cool water in it again for him today. As we got towards the end of our game, the ball at end of the rope finally gave up and fell off! Mac wasn't sure what to do at first... go fetch the rope or get the ball that was sitting at my feet. I put the ball in the bin so he wouldn't be so concerned, and we got a few more throws in. It sure doesn't fly quite as far without the ball on there. When we finished, I put his rope away and got him his dinner.

Ginger, Tiger & Scout

This morning Ginger and Tiger wandered over to the gate to say hi. Scout was snoozing away in her corner. I called her name and she hopped right up! It was nice out this morning, so we spent the whole time outside. Ginger made her rounds, exploring about the yard. Tiger and Scout did a lot of relaxing. They all got excited when the neighbor dog came out, and ran over to say hi. When it was time, we all headed inside and they lined up in the kitchen for a little snack.

Taz & Clyde

This morning the boys met me at the door and walked with me to the back. Taz went out to go potty quick. Clyde just stood by me, not wanting to let me out of his sight! He bounced along excitedly behind me as we went to get them their breakfast. After the boys finished, I asked if they were ready. They followed me to get their harnesses on, and were ready to go! We got a nice long walk in this morning. This afternoon the boys and I headed outside right away. I went back in to find them each a dental chew. They both sat nicely for them, grabbed onto theirs and took off! Clyde ended up sitting behind me to eat his and Taz was off in the grass. They lounged around for awhile after they finished, running to the fence occasionally to check out sounds they'd hear.

Jackie & Meeko

This morning Meeko came down the stairs and followed me to let Jackie out. I fed Meeko his breakfast and got Jackie's ready as well. He wasn't interested at the moment, of course, because he wanted to get going. He bounced around a bit, then sat to get his collar on. We saw lots of fun things on our long walk this morning! First, Jackie saw a black kitty in the distance. Later, he saw another one and got all excited, because it poofed up and ran up the side of a tree! Jackie bounced up and down, but there was no way he'd get even close to that kitty. Haha! As we went along, we also saw a couple bunny rabbits. When we got back, Jackie ate his breakfast and went out for a last potty break. This afternoon it was pretty hot out. I let Jackie outside and got him and ice treat that I had made for him. He laid in the grass, carrying it from here to there to find the perfect spot. Once he polished that off, we went inside to cool off a bit. Jackie and I played some tug. Meeko came over to try and get some attention, but Jackie chased him away. I guess he didn't want to share! Later, we went back outside for a few minutes. He got a last potty break in and the rest of the time we played fetch with his snake toy. This evening Jackie and I went for a long walk as soon as I got there. We saw several bunnies out and about tonight. When we got back home, Meeko was patiently waiting for his dinner. I fed both boys, then let Jackie out for a potty break before bed. His bunny friend was in the backyard and it took off as soon as Jackie got outside. Once he was gone, Jackie sniffed all around the yard.

Bella, Louie & Chico

This morning everyone woke right up when I walked in. I let them all out in their usual order. I let them spend a little time outside, then got their breakfast. Louie and Chico went in while I stayed out with Bella. She wanted attention for a little bit, but eventually she made her way to her bowl. I went in to check on the little ones, but didn't see Chico. He was just lounging in his bed! I sat on the floor in their room and he came out to visit me. Louie came over as well, and that got Chico a little jealous. So, we all headed outside instead. Louie sat with me for a few scratches. He almost fell over, he just melted like butter when I found his itchy spot! A few birds were in the yard this morning, so Bella kept busy by chasing after them. This afternoon I let the pups all outside for awhile. Bella and Louie both came over for some attention. Everyone wandered around and did some exploring around the yard. Chico came over for a few pets as well, but Bella was being an attention hog and nudged him out of the way! I let the two little ones in and out as they pleased, so they could nibble on their food a bit. When it was time, I got their peanut butter kongs ready for them. Chico didn't want to go to bed this time, so I had to go get him.

Ginger, Tiger & Scout

This afternoon the kiddos were all a bunch of sleepyheads! It took them a minute to wake up, then Tiger and Ginger came wandering over to the gate to say hi. We headed outside right away. Scout must have been comfy in her spot, because I had to go get her. She finally got up and followed me outside to join the others. It was a bit warm out, but we spent awhile out in the backyard. They all picked a spot and lounged around for awhile. Ginger and Scout would come by me occasionally for some attention. This evening all three pups were looking out the window at me. We all headed outside to enjoy the nice evening. It had rained for a bit, so it felt a little cooler than earlier. Scout and Tiger did a bunch of exploring, while Ginger got her pet time. Some birds landed in the yard and it was quite entertaining to see Ginger bouncing along after them! When it was time, we headed inside and they each got a treat before bed.

Bella, Louie & Chico

This afternoon the house was quiet when I arrived. The second I opened the bedroom door, the barks began! Chico and Louie were really going to town. Haha! I had opened the back door and I started to let them out one by one. They zoomed off, but then one would come back to check me out as I walked outside. Bella loved me instantly and was pretty much attached to me the whole time! I tried to keep them as settled as possible, so I sat down and let them smell me. Louie came over for a minute, then went to sit in the grass. He seemed pretty itchy today. Chico was the last to come see me, but he did fine and let me pet him right away too. Bella sat and wouldn't let me even think about stopping the pets and back scratches! Louie came over and I found a good itchy spot for him. His leg was going like crazy. We went in and out a few times so they could get a drink and cool off. I tried to get Bella to play fetch, but she was too excited for now. This evening the pups heard me pull up and I could hear them bark a bit inside. I got in and let them all out, and this time they were all outside waiting for me. Bella sat with me awhile for some attention. Later, she went for a sprint back and forth along the fenceline. I let Chico and Louie in and let everyone work on their dinner. When it was time we headed inside. Chico was first to get in his bed again this evening, without me even asking! Then Bella wandered in hers and Louie in his. Such good pups!
