Izzy & Toby

Today miss Izzy came down the hallway and meowed at me. She kept talking to me while I got out the shrimp cube for the fishies. Izzy tagged along to go feed them. I got her some fresh water and cleaned her boxes, then it was attention time! She rolled around on the floor as I pet her. I found a couple toys behind her food bag, so I got those out for her to play with. I pulled the little mouse on a string toy around for her to chase a bit. That didn't last too long, because she just wanted to be pet! She purred away and made little imaginary "kitty biscuits" in the air with her paws. Later, I checked on Toby to make sure he had enough of everything. I brought out another treat for him. He stood up on his hind legs for it! That was cute. Miss Izzy was waiting just inside the door for me to return. I got her a few treats as well. I tossed them around for her to go get.

Sadi & Stormy

Today Stormy came wandering into the kitchen to see me. She rubbed up against my legs while I got their food ready. When I finished mixing, she wandered over to the window to sit in the sunlight. Sadi was sleeping in the sun shining through the bedroom windows. She sat up when I walked in, then I carried her to her spot. She sat and took her medications like a champ, as usual. I set her down by the food dishes, but she wasn't hungry at the emoment. She followed me out to the living room and got herself some chin scratchey time. Stormy came over for a little bit, then she plopped herself on the cardboard on the floor. Sadi just purred away and enjoyed her attention.

Flax & Booty

I didn't see Flax laying in his usual spot when I pulled up this morning. So, I headed inside to feed the fish quick. I got Flax some fresh food and water and didn't see him in the garage. Booty wasn't in there either, so he must be out exploring. I walked out back and found Flax lounging on his bed on the back porch. He stretched one paw out towards me as I knelt down to pet him. Today was the coolest morning we've had so far! It'll be another day Flax will just love with the comfortable temperatures. I walked back to the garage to grab Booty's food, and he came running in to see me. He must have heard me! He meowed and followed me to feed him his breakfast. He had eaten some of his canned food after I left last night. This evening Flax was sleeping on his bed in the garage. He heard me coming and sat up for his attention time. Booty was brave and came in there for some pets too! Booty followed me around, racing back and forth around my legs as I walked. Flax started on his dinner as soon as I got it ready for him. Booty came into his area to help me fill his food dish, but he just wanted attention of course! I spread some treats out for Flax before I left.

Harvey & King

This morning King did a big stretch in the hallway, while I let Harvey out. They both went outside. I filled their water bowl, then let Harvey in to eat. He waited inside until King had finished his breakfast. Harvey no more than got outside and the wrestling started! They messed around for quite awhile. King noticed something in the next yard and did a point, staring right at it with one paw up, ready to go! Then, back to more messing around with Harvey. King grabbed a frisbee and tried to get Harvey to play tug with him. When it was time we alo headed inside. Harvey made me laugh because he kept trying to bunk with King! He waltzed right in and they both were sitting in there looking at me. Haha!

Jackie & Meeko

This morning Meeko came running from the kitchen to say hi. He followed me to let Jackie out. Jackie quickly did his business, then came in while I got their breakfast out. Jackie was already bouncing around and running down the hallway. "C'mon let's go!" He sat while I got his collar on, then we went on our way. We got our long walk in. It was the coolest morning we've had so far! When we got back home, Jackie headed in to work on his breakfast while I watered the plants. This afternoon was pretty nice out. Jackie and I headed outside to play in the backyard. He saw a bunny in the grass and chased it to the other side of the yard. As soon as I called for him, Jackie left little bunny alone and came prancing back to me. He sat by me for some back scratches. I got his little leg going, so I guess I found the right spot! I got out another ice treat for him to work on. This evening Meeko sat at the table and got a little attention while Jackie worked on his supper. After Jackie finished, we had enough time to get a short walk in.

Shelby, Baby & the kitties

This morning Coco and Bitty were ready to come back inside as Shelby went out. While she was out enjoying the cool morning, I got everyone breakfast and cleaned the litter box. Shim and Tiny were curled up under the bed together. I went and talked to them for a minute before checking in on Baby. When I came back out, Coco was sitting on the kitchen counter meowing at me. For whatever reason, Bitty chased after her once she jumped down. I let him outside so she could eat without having to watch her back! Shelby just laid in the yard and listened to the birds chirping this morning. This evening Coco came back inside and Bitty wandered out with Shelby. I went and talked to Tiny as he sat in his spot under the bed. Shim was lounging in the corner and eventually made his way to the living room. I fed Baby quick, then visited with miss Shelby. The neighbors were out on either side tonight, so she kept wandering over to watch them. She'd let out a few of her quiet barks, then would go lay down. She had fun rolling around again this evening. Later, Shelby and I went back inside. Bitty and Coco were comfortable outside and didn't want to come in.

Izzy & Toby

Today I stopped and talked with the neighbor for a few minutes before heading in. I got a new car since the last time I've been there. I headed inside and Izzy was there to see me shortly after. She meowed at me in the kitchen while I read the notes. Izzy followed me around and helped me take care of the fishes. Then, she sat and rolled around on the floor while I cleaned her box. I made sure Toby had enough food and water outside. He seems a lot less shy now! He came over and wiggled his heiny while I pet him. I got him a treat, then went to visit with Izzy. She laid on the floor and enjoyed her attention time. She just purred away!

Murdy & Charlie

This morning both boys came bolting across the balcony and down the stairs when I arrived. Today they both were instantly attached to my legs! Murdy hopped up on the counter for his eye medicine. His eye is looking so much better. Charlie got a new can of food and started meowing loudly when I opened it. He trotted along to the bathroom to go work on his breakfast. Murdy got some chin scratch time in before I started cleaning their box and getting them fresh food and water. Murdy must be feeling better because he was in a playful mood today. Murdy went and sat in their tunnel, so I kept sticking a feather toy around the corner for him to paw at. He'd stick one paw out to grab at it. Then, Charlie would try to get Murdy's arm! During one attempt, Charlie plowed into the side of the tunnel, then jumped on top, right where Murdy was sitting! Those boys are so funny.

Flax & Booty

This morning Flax wandered over to say hi to me right away. Its going to be another gorgeous day for him! He laid in his favorite spot and took a little snooze while I got their breakfast ready. Booty was happy to see me and followed me everywhere, as usual. Booty kept peeking up into Flax's bowl to see if he had anything good to eat in there. Booty followed me to his area next and I got him some fresh food and water. He was more worried about being pet than eating for this morning. When I went to sit with Flax for awhile, Booty went and laid in the garage. This evening I saw Flax had moved to a different spot. He was laying in the grass in a shady spot. He looked pretty comfy out there. I walked up and gave him a couple hello pets. He stayed there while I went to get them some fresh water. I filled Flax's bowl with his dry and canned food this evening. Tonight's flavor had big chunks of meat in it. Booty thought they were pretty tasty! He reached up in there and nibbled a bit. What a goofball. I checked his food and he hadn't even touched his can of food. I mixed it up a bit with my finger to see if the aroma would interest him. Nope, he liked the doggie kind better tonight. I went over by Flax and he was still laying in the grass. He itched his face on the ground and groaned. He sure is a lucky dog! I'd be happy laying out there all day too. Haha!

Harvey & King

This morning King was bouncing around, excited to go outside. I let the boys have a minute to go potty. Harvey came in to eat again, while I stayed out with King to make sure he ate. I helped him a little again today since he was only interested in playing. I had to take the log from his mouth and redirect him to his food. Eventually, he finished off his dish, minus a few kibbles that fell on the patio. Harvey was happy to come out and clean those up for us! I asked King where his frisbee was and he promptly ran and pounced on it. Then, he brought it over for a few throws. Harvey was wandering around in the bushes on the side of the house. King went to see what he was up to, then they got into their wrestling match again. They played and played! Harvey was all nice and wet from King slobbering all over him. Haha!
