Buckley, Chloe & Bootsie

Today Buck and Chloe must have been napping when I got there. I opened the office door and they jumped up, seeming surprised to see me. We headed to the back door and Chloe immediately spotted a robin sitting in the yard. She and Buck went racing out the door! Those two went running around the yard, while Bootsie came wandering over to see me. He rolled around in the grass and was loving the warm sun shining on his fur. Buck saw Bootsie being pet, so he came and took over. Buck went and laid in the grass when he was finished, and rolled around with his toy. We played fetch with it a couple times. I found a stick to throw for Chloe, but she wouldn't bring it back! She thought it would be more fun to chew. Chloe had fun chasing after birds and saying hi to the neighbor dog today. They spent plenty of time soaking up the warm sun too. We headed in for a bit so they could eat a little and get one of their treats. We didn't stay in long since it was so nice out. Buck found a ball and came racing over for me to throw it to him. He got tired after one throw. Haha! They each got their last treat as I was leaving.

Buckley, Chloe & Bootsie

Today Buck and Chloe were very excited when I opened the door. They danced circles around me as we headed outside. Buck immediately buried his head in my lap and did his little dance while he got his heiny scratched, just like he used to. I was surprised to see Bootsie trotting around the corner shortly after we got outside. All three were rolling around and getting all full of dry grass and leaves! They decided to share with me. Every time I pet Bootsie, the static would make all the grass stick to my hand. Chloe went and laid in the sunshine, while Buck and Bootsie were eagerly trying to hog my attention. Boostie rolled around and ended up with his hind end in the air up against Buck. That made me laugh. Buck and Chloe would take off to the back of the yard occasionally. Buck would make sure to come back for attention in between. Later we headed inside so they could get some food and water. Chloe made me laugh when she sat under the table! Buck disappeared and then came flying down the stairs. He had gone to get his hedgehog toy. I gave them each a treat, then we went back outside for a bit. Everyone got plenty of pets. Before I left I gave them their other treat to work on.

This morning it was very quiet. Sugar heard me though! She was first to come bounding to see me. I had to call for the others. Then they all came running too. I got them all some food to work on. Their water had some ice in it, so while they ate, I broke that up. Afterwards, everyone was wanting attention. Heighty was my little snuggle bug today, barely leaving my side. The pups each took some time to explore around the yard. Of course, when one was being pet, they all stopped everything to come running over to me! It was a bit chilly out this morning, and little ZZ was doing a shivering dance. As I was leaving, they headed back to their house, ZZ leading the way! This evening the pooches were all barking when they heard me pull up. Sugar was first to come racing around the side of the house to see me again. It didn't take long before the others came racing. They all worked on their dinner while I refilled their water bowls. Afterwards, I was surrounded again by happy puppy dogs! All three little weinies were trying to hop in my lap, each wanting all of my attention. Sugar was running around when they heard another dog in the neighborhood. When it was time to go, they all went exploring about the yard. It was a very nice evening out.

ZZ, Bradford, Heighty and the gang

This evening the pups were all barking when I pulled up. ZZ was first to greet me at the door. He was bouncing up at me to say hi. Everyone else surrounded me, except for Heighty. She kept back a ways, but curiously watched me. I went in and got their food, then spread it amongst their dishes. Heighty and ZZ were the only two that didn't get started right away. ZZ was too excited for attention, and Heighty was too nervous. Eventually they ate too. Sugar went around and cleaned up all the bowls, just in case any bits were left behind. When they all finished, it was time for more attention! Finally Heighty came up close and realized who I was. Soon she was wiggling her way in between everyone to give me little licks on my hand.

Ginger, Tiger & Scout

All three pups were staring at me through the window when I pulled up today. They each raced to the gate to say hi. I let them all outside for a little bit. They meandered around a little, said hi to the neighbor puppy, and went to watch the kids playing outside. Eventually, they lined up at the back door to go in. Back inside, I got everyone a treat while I filled their food dish. As I sat down, Ginger came over and stood against my leg for some attention. Scout was right there too, gently pawing at me. Tiger just laid down and watched us. I let the pups all go outside once more before it was time to go.

Bubba

Bubba was sitting by the window today, patiently waiting for me. As soon as I walked in, I saw he had had some fun since I was last there! Bubba had shredded the paper that was under his litter box. I cleaned that up, then got him some fresh food. I opened another can, but he wasn't too interested in that today. Later, we headed into the living room and I saw he had gotten sick a couple times. Luckily it cleaned up easily. Now it was time to play! I had him scrambling around and wrestling with his toy. He would run and hop up on the couch to play from there a bit, then would come down to the floor, and back again.

Bubba

Bubba came strolling out from the bedroom when I arrived today. He immediately started rubbing up against me and purring as I cleaned out his box. I opened up one of the cans of food for him today. Boy, did he like that one! I don't think he touched much of the pouch foods any other day. Today, he sat right down and started eating away. He didn't follow me around after I set it down, and barely cared that I was there! He ate about half of it before he headed to the living room to play. I sat on the floor today so we had more room. I had a few good laughs! Bubba was zooming around from one side of the room to the other after his toy. He would occasionally try to be sly, pretending not to notice the toy as he cleaned his paw. Then he would pounce! We had a lot of fun today. As I got up to leave, Bubba headed back to finish up his can of food.

Bubba

Today Bubba was right at the door, sticking his nose toward it to smell the air outside. I made sure he didn't get out. He helped me clean his box and refresh his food and water. He nosed at the bags as I was getting one out. Then, he was plopping down on the floor in front of me as I took each step. Such a silly boy! As soon as I was finished, we headed to the living room and got right to playing. He had so much fun with his kitty toy! Bubba got a little tired out a couple times, but after a short rest he'd get a second or third wind. He was following the toy, rolling around like crazy as he wrestled with it! I could tell I really pooped him out today. When it was time to go, he didn't even budge from his spot on the couch.

Bubba

This afternoon I came in to see Mr. Bubba. He came wandering in from the bedroom to see me. He sat and watched as I cleaned out his box. He almost seemed like he wanted to play with the paper bags! Bubba rolled around in the hallway a bit and enjoyed some chin scratches. He jumped up now and again to run and get a couple bites of food. Then, he would come and crash on the floor again, rolling around immediately. The wind had picked up quite a bit, so I made sure the doors were all shut tightly. I guess I was just hearing the wind coming in from the fireplace. Bubba ran from chair to chair, following me wherever I went. As we headed to the couch, I saw his cute kitty toy. We had a blast with that for the rest of the time!

Bubba

Bubba hopped down off the couch today when I got there. He helped me get some fresh food for him. He ran to the bowls excitedly when I set them down, but didn't eat anything. We headed to the living room and he hopped on my lap for some attention. He let me scratch his chin for a bit. Then, Bubba jumped down to the floor and rolled around by my feet. Bubba was being pretty silly today. He jumped up and down a few times, and I could see that funny look in his eyes. Just as I was telling him he was starting to make me a little nervous, he pounced on my arm... and chomp! That little goober! Luckily his little love bite didn't go through my sweatshirt. I had to laugh though, because he still didn't stop purring! He calmed down after that and was happy just to get his chin scratched.
