Coco

This afternoon Coco was snoozing soundly in her usual spot. I got her some new food and she only nibbled on it for me. I picked her up and sat her in my lap. She wasn't too thrilled about that! She hopped down and wandered into the bedroom. She looked out the window for a minute and decided to curl up on the couch. I sat with her for a long time and pet her. As she started to lean her chin into my hand, I think she started to feel like, "Hey, maybe this isn't so bad!". As I was leaving she was finding a comfy spot to lay in the sunshine. Tonight I noticed Coco had eaten a bunch after I left. She cleaned off half the plate. I got her some more food and she just started chowing down! She made a good dent in this one too, then decided she'd had enough. I pet her for a bit, then tried again and she ate some more for me. I guess she made more room! She hopped down and went into the bedroom again. This time she put her front paws up on the bed and peeked over the top. She went up there and started meowing. I think she misses someone... :( She did some more wandering around the house, with me following and both of us calling back and forth to each other!

Bitty, Spirit, Angel, Baby and Shelby

Angel faithfully met me at the door this afternoon! She purred and rubbed up against my leg! I found Bitty sitting on the chair in the kitchen, a favorite spot for him! As you can see, the flash was a little too bright for him; but he looks cute even with his eyes closed! Shelby was extra lively today; she must know her family is on the way home! She was full of barks and energy as she roamed around in the back yard. She took a time out so I could take a cute picture of her; how cute is she?! Baby was enjoying a peaceful nap in the sun, so I didn't wake him; I just whispered goodbye! I said goodbye to the rest of the gang and gave each extra scratches. I enjoyed watching all 5 of you - thanks for the great time! Hope to see you again!

Bitty, Spirit, Angel, Baby and Shelby

Shelby and Angel met me at the door this morning with a big hello! Shelby was anxious to get outside, as the weather was beautiful. We played out in the yard and enjoyed the cool breeze! Angel was happy to see me come back inside and helped me fill her food dish! Baby was perched on his hind legs when I came in to say good morning! He did a few turns in his cage, as I opened the yogurt treat bag! Back in the living room, I found Spirit sitting sweetly by the fireplace. He posed for a great picture and after the flash went off, he came over to the camera to investigate; it was really cute! I said goodbye to the gang inside and gave Shelby a treat before I left.

Dakota & Benny

Benny was at the door when I came in today, doing his usual happy dance. Kota and Benny got to meet Meghan today too, and they just loved her up! Kota was talking to us while Benny showed her his blue ball. Later we discovered that he snuck it outside with us! Today was a beautiful day out, so we all went for a nice long walk! We saw a few other dogs out and about with their owners on our way through the neighborhood. On our way back, a small boxer puppy was running toward us, wanting to play. I helped the owner, who drove up shortly after in her car, try to catch her puppy! When all the excitement was over, we got back on our way. Kota and Benny both thought they were going to see the puppy again, so they were running along excitedly! Kota and Benny were both very tired when we got home. Kota had a little lunch before she laid in her cage to relax.

Bitty, Spirit, Angel, Baby and Shelby

Shelby and I enjoyed the beautiful evening sky as we sat in the back yard. We walked around in the cool grass as the new lawn was being watered. Finally, we went inside to say hello to the cats and the bunny. Spirit, Angel and Bitty greeted us as we entered inside! A change in litter, a shake of the food dish and a fresh bowl of water made all three happy; you could actually hear Angel purring! Baby was eating on some hay when we came in. I tried to get him to play with his toys, but he didn't seem interested, so back to his hay he went! As I was leaving, Shelby laid down in front of me, as if to say, "please pet me before you leave"! With such a sweet face, who could resist? A few belly scratches made her smile - see the picture, how cute!! See y'all tomorrow!

Bitty awoke from his nap to say hello to me as I arrived this afternoon. He wrapped around my legs a few times and enjoyed some back scratches before he returned to his spot on the couch! Shelby was sleeping on the cool cement, taking advantage of the beautiful weather. She got up to greet me and followed me around to turn on the sprinklers. We went inside to see how the other furry friends are doing. Angel said "hello" to us as we came back in; excited for some attention! Baby was sleeping, but did wake up for some scratches and a yogurt treat! It was time for me to go, so Shelby and I went back outside to turn off the sprinklers and fill up her water bowl. See you tonight!

Bitty, Spirit, Angel, Baby and Shelby

Shelby's big yawn and stretch greeted me at the door this morning. After a few moments, all three cats came to say good morning, each one taking turns stretching and yawning!! Shelby was excited to get outside, so I let her out, turned on the sprinklers and went back inside to see Baby. He must have heard me coming, as he was looking towards the door! A fresh bowl of food, some hay and a yogurt treat made Baby's morning! He was so excited, he flipped around in his cage a few times! I filled the cat's food dish, which Angel appreciated and thanked me for! She even posed for a cute picture! Outside Shelby was laying on the porch, enjoying the morning sun! I shut off the sprinklers and scratched under her collar before I left for the morning.

Daisy, Ally & Prissy

This morning Ally was curled up in her corner of the couch again. I sat and pet her for awhile, and noticed Prissy peeking around the corner of the couch! She was sitting behind the couch by her cat scratch post. She said hi, then went over to curl up on the rug by my shoes. I went upstairs to go let Daisy out and she zoomed out of there and down the hallway as fast as she could! She headed straight for that bedroom door, stood on her hind legs and pawed at it until it opened. She made her way under the bed to hang out there for awhile. Every once in awhile she'd make a mad dash down the hall for her room! I had put more hay in her cage for her, so she sat in there and had a little snack. She had eventually wandered off back into the other room. I grabbed down her food bag and she must have heard me. She came flying around the corner and was standing on her hind legs at my feet, making little grunting noises at me! She cracks me up! I went down to see the kitties again on my way out. They were both curled up on either end of the couch.

As I walked through the door, out came Spirit and Bitty to say HI! A quick scratch on the head and they were gone. I could see Shelby's tail wagging as I approached the back door. She was so excited to see me; I even got a few barks! We stayed outside for awhile and said "hello" to the neighbors who walked by! Shelby decided it was time to go in with our other friends. On our way to visit Baby, we found Angel resting on the cool tile; she was enjoying an evening nap. Baby was chewing on some grass and when he turned his head to look at us, he had a piece sticking out of his mouth! It was so cute! He enjoyed some scratches behind his big, soft ears. Shelby and Angel thought I had spent enough time with Baby and wanted the attention back! Shelby barked and pawed at me and Angel meowed at me! After a few more scratches, it was time to leave. Goodnight friends, see you tomorrow morning!!

This afternoon was full of scratches and conversation for Angel! She followed me around and thanked me for the attention! Shelby was laying on the rug outside, enjoying a cool, fall day. She wagged her tail as I came out with a treat! She helped me turn on the sprinklers and came inside with me while the grass was getting a drink! We all laid on the floor and both Angel and Shelby got some scratches. Baby was sleeping when I walked into the room, but was quick to wake up and say hello! It was time to go, so out when Shelby until this evening. Angel walked me to the door and said goodbye!
