Jasmine & Banjo

Tonight I didn't see the puppies sitting by the gate when I pulled up. I went in the backyard and around to the back of the house to find them just laying out in the grass. It is a little cooler this week, so I'm sure it's much more comfortable for them. They looked at me for a minute, then both ran for me as fast as they could to say hi! They followed me around as I scooped up the yard some more. They also ran a couple laps and chased after each other! As soon as I finished we went for our nice long walk. Jasmine likes to pick up everything! I took away a straw, a piece of a firework, a string and a few leaves. Banjo just keeps walking along, stopping every now and again to sniff at something. They both stopped to watch little kids running or skating by them. Jasmine kept in the lead again today, but always made sure to check that Banjo was still following along. I could tell little Banjo was getting tired on our way back home. Once we got back they each went to get a drink, then came running back to be pet some more.

Tyler, Emma, Lacey & Luke

I think I startled everyone when I opened the door, because of the tape rubbing on the ground! I let everyone go outside potty right away. Tyler immediately grabbed the ball (or whatever that is haha) outside and pranced around with it! After they went potty they both laid down outside, so I let them hang out there while I got their lunch ready. Luke was sitting at the backdoor looking in at me. I opened the door to let him in a couple times and he'd just stand up and rub against the house. When I took Lacey out, then he came in. After everyone ate, we sat in the living room. Emma laid on the pillow by the fireplace, so I sat next to her. Then everyone else, even Luke came over to me to get pet! Tyler got up to get a drink of water, then one by one the rest lined up behind him at the water bowls. It was the funniest thing! Emma was very snuggly with me today. After she got her drink she came running back over to me and laid her head in my lap. Tyler came and laid his head on my leg and Lacey laid on my other side too. If I stopped petting Emma to pet someone else, she'd paw at me then scootch closer and lay across my lap again!

Dakota & Benny

Kota and Benny were ready for their walk today! Benny was running circles around me while Kota was doing her woo-woos. We headed on our way, and we took one of our routes backwards this time. It was like a whole new world for them! haha! Benny was so excited he could barely stand it. Everyone had their dogs out today since it was much cooler than it's been, so Benny was happy about that too! He was getting so worked up every time we passed them, that even Kota started joining in the fun. Benny stopped in a shade spot to take a little rest, but Kota kept tugging like, "C'mon let's go!". When we got home Benny was pretty pooped, so he waddled over to me until he crashed in my lap. He got a nice backscratching! Kota hung out in her cage and would come out once in awhile to get hers, and to give me kisses.

Webster

Today Webster was waiting at the door for me, tail a-wagging! I had him go find his ball for me so we could go play outside. I took him over to the big field in the back and had him running all over! He was much more willing to give me his ball today. He did try to keep it a couple times, but gave up quite easily. He would run as fast as he could to get over to the ball and would slide around to scoop it up on his way by. He got tired after awhile and came back to the patio to lay down. We went back inside so he could cool off and he got his back scratched!

Chelsea

This morning Chelsea did a big stretch when I came in and made her way over to see me. It had cooled off quite a bit since some rain had passed through. I decided to take Chelsea for a nice walk this morning. Boy was she excited! As soon as she saw me pull out her leash, she started prancing around. We walked down to the pond and there was a large flock of ducks walking around. They all were keeping their eyes on Chelsea, but she was busy sniffing around. It started raining again, so we made our way back home. She loved it though! She continued to sniff around. I had to call her to keep coming with me, and she playfully ran to catch up with me! Chelsea had her breakfast when we got back. She was in a much more playful mood today! We goofed around a little, then she sat as close to me as possible for her tummy rub and back scratching. She did a bunch of tricks for me this morning for some treats!

Toby, Tyson & Morgan

This morning Morgan was chasing after me again, rubbing up against my legs any chance he got. Tyson was sleeping in the bathtub again, but he was laying the opposite way today! I got Toby, the little sleepyhead, up from his bed to go outside. I was going to take him for a walk this morning, but some storms were rolling in. He had fun out in the backyard though! There was a dog out in the other neighbor's backyard this morning and Toby was busy trying to see him through the fence. They both started barking at each other for awhile! There were some kids out playing who joined in the barking as well! haha! That made Toby curious and he cocked his head to the side to listen. It started raining and Toby was too fascinated that he didn't want to come back in!

Toby, Tyson & Morgan

This morning Morgan came walking around the corner to say hi when I came in. Toby was all curled up on the bed. He and I went outside for awhile. It was really nice out this morning and Toby spent most of the time wandering around the yard. His neighbor friends were out and trying to chase with him along the fence. When Toby was ready to head inside, I fed him his breakfast. Then we sat on the couch by Morgan and I gave Toby a nice back scratch. I had his little leg going a mile a minute! This afternoon I came in and Toby was snoozing on the bed again. He didn't even want to get up! He rolled over and stretched out while I rubbed his belly. Finally he got up and went outside to go potty. When we came in I looked around for Tyson and found him sleeping in the bathtub! Morgan was following me all over the place today. Toby dug in his basket and pulled out all kinds of toys for us to play with! We tugged around with one, then he'd get bored and get a new toy. We even chased each other for awhile and he zoomed in circles around the house! Tonight Morgan met me at the door again and was even running after me! Toby was snoozing on the bed and I got him up so we could take a walk. We went for a nice long one again tonight. When we got home Toby at his supper, then sprawled out on the cool tile floor. He was tired! But he still went digging through his toy basket for something to play with. Eventually he grabbed one of his toys and ran off into the bedroom. Guess it was his bedtime!

Chelsea

This morning Chelsea was barking pretty loudly when I pulled up. Once I opened the door she came over to sniff me, then her little tail was wagging away! I fed Chelsea her breakfast and had her sit for me while I filled her bowl. She was a very good girl! When she was finished she got a yummy treat. I think she misses her friend... I tried to get her to play with me, but she wasn't too interested. She did enjoy getting her tummy rubbed though! She went outside for awhile so I went out with her. She came and sat by me to get her back scratched some more. This evening Chelsea was still laying on her bed by the window when I came in. She came over to say hi before we got her supper ready. When she was finished I got out her kong toy and she perked up her ears and sniffed at it. She got a couple crumbs of leftover treats out of it, then got bored with that. She rolled over and got her tummy rubbed again for a long time. Then I had her chasing me all around the living room! She shook my hand for a treat and I turned on her music again before it was time to go.

Webster

This morning Webster was happy to see me again! We went outside and he made sure to bring his ball with him. He didn't want to give it up for me to throw! I was able to toss it for him a couple times, and he would excitedly come back to sit with me. There was a bad accident at the intersection just one street south of yours this morning when I came. We could hear one of the neighbor dogs was howling along with the sirens while we were outside. Webster and I went back in, and he sat over by his window. I came to sit with him and pet him for a long time. He still wouldn't let go of his ball! He even rolled over on the floor and laid halfway in my lap while I scratched his belly for him. This evening Webster had a little energy to burn. He came running up to me, then ran back to get his ball and ran to the door. He was ready to go outside and play! He actually gave me his ball a few times. I had him chasing for it, and he even decided to take a stroll around the side of the house. I called for him and he came prancing back with his ball. We went in and I think he was looking for treats, because I turned my back and out of the corner of my eye saw his head up over the counter! I sat with him while he ate a good portion of his supper, then we sat over by his window. He rolled over and laid across my lap again while I pet him.

Lucy & Shadow

This morning Shadow and Lucy were both in the living room messing around. They kind of stopped when they saw me, then came over to say hi. They hung out in the bathroom and waited for me to finish cleaning their litterbox. When I finished, they ran ahead of me into the living room. Shadow and I played with his rope toy for a long time while Lucy enjoyed looking out the front door. Shadow was rolling around and jumping all over the place! He stopped and laid on his back for a little bit, batting at the rope every now and again. Eventually he took a little break from playing to sit up by the window in the kitchen. Then Lucy was ready to play!
