Maggie & Moe

This afternoon the girls and I went out in the backyard for a little while. Both girls were carrying around their rawhides like little cigars! Maggie put hers down then followed Moe around. "Hey I can help you with that!" They chased each other around the yard until they were too hot and wanted to go back inside. I sat on the floor by the couch with them and each picked a side to sit and snuggle up with me! Miss Moe would run to her mini bowl to grab a couple bites then come back by us. They each took turns jumping up to kiss my face! Tonight the girls zoomed to the front door to meet me as I came in! We sat outside for awhile since it was cooler out than earlier today. Maggie was playing around in the shadows. She'd suddenly appear in the light from the house, then Moe would run and chase after her! They ran around with their rawhides again and each laid down on the patio to chew on them. We went in and sat in the living room again. The girls started wrestling around in the living room next to me. Moe was rolling around and full of energy! She brought me a toy and Maggie got jealous... even though I was still petting her! She kept moving to the same side Moe was on and tried to get all of my attention on her. The girls followed me to the door as I was leaving. Moe grabbed out a different toy from her box, "Can't you stay and play some more?". Such sad little faces!
I'll take that rawhide if you don't want it...

Dakota & Benny

This afternoon I let Kota and Benny play out in the backyard for awhile. I missed my little buddies! Kota gave me a big hug and lots of kisses! She was talking to me a lot too. She did a couple laps around the yard while Benny found a ball for us to play with. He only let me throw it for him a couple times, otherwise he'd grab it before I could! It was pretty hot out and they both ended up laying in the shade by the shed under the pool ladder. We went inside to play some more. We chased each other around the living room, then Kota and Benny did some wrestling around! This afternoon I came to pick up Benny and Kota was not happy that I left her home! Poor girl cried as we were leaving. I felt so bad! I carried Benny into the building and he was quiet the whole time. He kept looking over my shoulder at the dog behind us. I had to set him down for a second, then he decided to start barking! As soon as I picked him up, quiet again. Silly boy. He did great for his vaccinations! When we got home Kota nudged him before they went outside. "Why didn't you bring me?!" Then Kota did her woo-wooing at me too! Tonight I stopped by quick to let them go potty again. I had Kota playing with her little kibbles of food before I left. She makes me laugh every time!

Gracie & Jack

This morning we all went outside for a little while when I got there. They both did a little exploring and rolling around the yard. When they were ready to go in I fed them their breakfast. Jack was waiting patiently for Gracie to finish. They came into the living room and started to wrestle around with each other some more! Jack would roll over on his back while Gracie messed around with his ears and face. He walked away to go lay down, but Gracie wanted him to keep playing so she ran and jumped at him. They chased each other around the living room and grabbed the long pink squeaker toy to play some tug-of-war! They are so funny! I gave them each a little rawhide treat before I left. Gracie was walking around on the fireplace hearth and kept looking into the glass. I think she wanted to hide it in there! Jack finished his pretty quick, then followed me to the door. Somebody wants to go for a walk again!
Treat? Yes please!

Gracie & Jack

This morning after Gracie and Jack finished their breakfast, I played fetch with Gracie. Jack laid by me and got pet the whole time. Gracie was running so fast down the hallway that she'd roll up the rug by the door! She got tired of playing with her sheep, so she excitedly brought me her little hedgehog. After awhile she decided that she wanted to play with Jack too. They started to playfully wrestle around with each other! It was so funny to watch. This afternoon after they finished their supper we played fetch some more. Gracie took little breaks to come lay across my lap upside down! She sure loves her tummy rubs. Jack was laying by me, tail a-wagging, while I pet him. On Gracie's way back with her toy, she stopped in front of Jack to crouch down. She stuck her heiny in the air and was wagging while holding her toy. She wanted him to play again, so he got up and they chased around some more. Gracie ate all of both her meals today while I waited for her. Ever since last night Jack had been wanting to take a walk again! He kept following me to the door and would get excited thinking he was coming with me. Tonight he got his wish. After they went potty out back we went for another nice long walk! We saw a huge frog sitting in the grass. Gracie ran up to check it out, then wanted to chase after him when he hopped away! I saw a little kitty sitting under a car and thought Jack might want to go chase it, but he didn't. They both walk just excellent for me!

Gracie & Jack

This morning I fed Gracie and Jack their breakfast after they went outside to go potty. Gracie finished all her food while I stood and waited for her. When they were finished Gracie ran around and played fetch with her little sheep. Jack laid down in the dining room and started singing for me while I talked to him! His tail was wagging the whole time. Eventually he got up and came to sit by me so I'd pet him. Gracie was busy walking back and forth along the couch to itch herself. Jack started to roll around on his back when I started to rub his belly. Gracie came running over and tried playing with him and even joined in the rolling around! This afternoon I let them out again when I got there, then they ate their supper for me. They both were very happy to see me! Gracie rolled around out in the grass and did a little army crawl. They made me laugh when Gracie peed, then Jack peed on her spot on the grass, then they kept going back and forth on the same spot! When we went in they both stayed by me for their attention! A fly came over by Jack and he tried to hunt it down. I kept them in this afternoon because Jack really didn't want to go out and it was super hot out today with the heat index. Tonight they were both sitting at the front door dancing around excitedly when I came!  When I let them out, one of the neighbors through the backyard shot off a firework. Gracie and Jack both ran to the back of the fence and barked at it! I grabbed Gracie's harness when we got inside and she came over and looked at me curiously. Jack knew what was up and helped me by sticking his head through the collar. He was very excited! We saw an older gentleman walking his two dogs as we were leaving, and he knew Jack and said hi. We took a nice long walk tonight! They were pretty tired when we got home and both laid on the cool floor.

Maycie & Luke

This morning Maycie and Luke must have heard me coming. I could hear them barking before I even opened the door. They were bouncing up and down to go outside! I brought them back in after they went potty and fed them their breakfast. Luke was finished first like usual. He put his front paws up on the gate and started to whine to go play. We went out and he got his game of fetch! Maycie had him chasing her around for awhile too!

Maycie & Luke

This morning Maycie and Luke hurried to eat their breakfast so we could go out and play! I had put Luke's ball away in the cupboard last night so he wasn't getting water everywhere after dunking it in his bowl. He knew right where it was! Instead of waiting by the door with Maycie, he made sure I got his ball down first. Maycie did some sniffing around by the shed this morning. She rolled around in the grass a bunch and even did her little army crawl! Tonight when I let them out it had just started to rain. They didn't seem to mind! Luke and I played fetch as usual. Maycie helped him and chased around for the ball too. I found her a little stick that I threw. She had stolen his ball and tried to get both in her mouth at the same time! Eventually Luke got the stick and chewed it into little pieces as quickly as he could. He was happy as long as he had something!

Gracie & Jack

Gracie and Jack met me at the door this afternoon. Gracie stood against my leg and gave me lots of kisses! I let them go potty quick before I fed them their supper. I read the note about Jack's glyco flex chews. Gracie was a good girl and ate all her supper right away for me! When they were finished we went in the living room to play and give them some attention. Gracie came over to me and rolled over for a belly rub! I went by Jack to pet him too, and Gracie brought over her little sheep for me! She was getting so excited to play with me that she started to zoom all around the living room! I started to pet Jack and found out he likes his ears rubbed. He started to lean into my hand and make little sounds like "Oooh that feels good!". I let them stay out for awhile later this evening. When I came back later to let them in again, they were both waiting for me on the patio. Gracie was so excited again and began to run around. I was sitting by Jack behind the couch and she ran right up to the top and looked down at me! She got her little sheep again, so I tossed that for her a little. She eventually curled up on the top of the couch with her sheep and looked so comfy. Jack wandered off and laid in the dining room before I left.

Maycie & Luke

This morning Maycie & Luke ate their breakfast while I watered plants and fed Chuck. They finished before I did and started crying to go play! Maycie was pretty calm this morning and spent most of the time exploring around the yard. She was crawling around behind the bush that's against the fence! Luke of course was only interested in playing fetch! He took a couple breaks again in the shade since it was pretty hot out already. Tonight when I came some storms were starting to roll through. We were able to get all of our playtime in before it started to rain though! Maycie grabbed Luke's ball once and pranced all over the yard with it. He'd bark at me, then at her, and then make a run for it! Once he got it back, we played fetch for a long time since it cooled down quite a bit. They both would stop and look at the sky every time they heard it thunder. Maycie started running from tree to tree and would look up and stare at them! I could hear a screeching sound come from one that she stopped at. When it was time to go, they were ready to go in for the night.

Maycie & Luke

This morning after breakfast we all went out in the backyard to play. Luke was ready for his game of fetch! Maycie took his ball this morning and had him chasing around again. When she was making a circle around the pool a big black cricket hopped out in front of her. She immediately dropped the ball, crouched down and followed it! It was pretty hot out this morning already, so even Luke took breaks on his own in the shade. I have been keeping their bowls outside filled with water since they are running around so much out there. I make Luke take it easy once in awhile too in this heat, otherwise I don't think he'd ever stop! Tonight we got some more fetch in. Maycie found a little stick that I threw for her too. Once in awhile she'd chase after Luke and grab at his ankles! After Luke got the ball, he made a couple big circles, drop his ball and started sniffing around like maybe he found something... but then he'd pick his ball back up and come trotting back for me to throw it again. Maycie was rolling around in the grass tonight. One time she laid down and her front half disappeared! She must have been checking out one of the holes out back.
