Heathcliff, Atticus, Ava & Chance

Heathcliff and Atticus both came running when I came in today! Both boys followed me all over the place. They all were slightly craving some attention! They had finished all their food, so I filled their bowls and gave them their wet food right away. They got right to eating as I started to clean all the litter boxes. Ava was trying to eat while I was scooping the food in her dish. I refilled their bowl that was on the nightstand, and they both jumped up and had to drink out of it right away! It must taste better than the water on the bathroom counter I guess... I went out and filled the sink for Atticus. He sat and stared at it while I pet him for awhile. I looked around for Heathcliff since he wasn't following me anymore, and I found him in the kid's room sitting on the little table by the crayons! I spent some time petting him before I went back by Ava and Chance. Chance had finished eating and was sprawled out on the floor. Ava was getting her attention in, when a little white foot was popping in underneath the door! It startled me for a second and Ava went over to check it out. Atticus was trying to play and later Heathcliff sat by the door to see what was going on too.

"Did you just see that?!"

"Ok, I'm ready... turn it on!"

Dakota & Benny

Kota and Benny were excited to get outside right away. Kota ran a big circle around the yard and came back with nice wet and muddy paws! Benny went in search of his ball, then brought it back to play some fetch. Kota was running around then hopping up on the table and chairs and woo-wooing at me! They were ready to go back inside after a bit, so we played more after Kota finished her supper. Benny kept rolling his ball to me to toss for him. Kota ran around after Benny, then came back to me and sneak-attacked me with a big kiss on my face! We chased each other around the living room for a bit before it was back to bed.

Heathcliff, Atticus, Ava & Chance

Today Heathcliff met me in the hallway and Atticus was waiting in the kitchen. I said hi to both of them for a little bit before taking care of their food and water. Atticus followed me around everywhere. When I went into the bathroom to refill the sink, he came zooming in and hopped up on the counter! He jumped up onto the kitchen counter while I filled that bowl too. Ava was laying on the bed and Chance was sitting by the bathroom when I went into the bedroom. Ava came running to get her attention! Chance inched closer, so I let him smell me, then I pet him for awhile too. Ava wanted me to pet her so badly that she even rubbed her face on my shoe while I was cleaning their litter pans. They were all excited to get their canned food and patiently waited until I put their dishes down.

Dakota & Benny

Kota was pretty quiet this afternoon. She didn't make a peep until I said, "Are you ready?". Then she let me have it! There was a nice breeze out today, so we took our nice long walk. Benny was sure the talkative one this afternoon. Maybe he could hear things blowing around in the wind that I couldn't. He would spin around and let a little growl out! There were a couple girls out walking on the opposite side of the street and Kota was very intrigued by them. She would run ahead a little bit, then stop to turn around and watch them. Benny stopped and gave Kota some kisses today! It was very cute. Benny was the one who had a little bit of soft stool and Kota was squating a lot again on our walk. Not sure if you figured out if it was just that she was marking or not. Once we got home they were pretty tired and they just laid down and rested.

Zeus, Baxter & Zelda

This morning Zeus was ready to go outside, but I had to search for Baxter. He wasn't under the usual bed today. Once he came out, he stretched, then slowly made his way to the back door. I added some more water to the pool while I went to water the plants. When I was in the front, I noticed Zelda was snoozing in the bushes again! Tonight Baxter was ready to go back in his air conditioned house! We stayed outside for awhile though since it was nice out. They were very playful again tonight! Baxter would chase after Zeus, then come trotting back to me to get pet. Zeus took a dip in the pool while I was there! It was so funny! He laid in the grass for awhile after he rubbed himself against the house to get his itchies. I let the boys in, then went outside to find Zelda rolling around in the driveway. I spent some time by her before I left and she meowed and rolled around while I pet her.

Baxter, Zeus & Zelda

This morning it was storming again. Miss Zelda was standing behind the car when I opened the garage. She meowed at me, so I went and pet her for awhile. She followed me to the door and tried coming inside with me! The boys were waiting at the door. I let them out and we sat on the patio and listened to the rain for awhile. Baxter laid behind the chair I was sitting in and Zeus was nearby. Zeus didn't even want to come back inside right away! Zelda was in the garage this afternoon when I got here.  She was sitting up by her food and water and let me give her some attention for a little while.  The boys greeted me at the door when I went inside and I immediately let them outside.  They went around and did their business then both came running back up to me to get some lovin.  After a little bit they must have heard something at a neighbors because they went running away barking.  I don't know what they saw or what got into them but they were crazy the rest of the night!  Both inside and outside Baxter was running around playfully barking and growling and running back up to me and wrestling around.  Zeus was trying to keep up the whole time, and they would wrestle around with each other, so funny!  I gave Zelda some more attention before leaving while she was out in the driveway.

Ladybug, Boomer, Bella & Bo

This morning it was storming outside again, so the puppies only went out long enough to do their business. The babies were so rambunctious this morning! They were wrestling around with each other so much that I had already let out Ladybug and Boomer before they made it to the door! We sat out on the patio for a little bit though until the rain started to blow around and get us wet. They all sat and snuggled with me inside for awhile. Later I came by to let them out again and it was still rainy out. The puppies did some more wrestling around inside. I refilled all their treat toys, so they took new interest in that. Ladybug sat and crunched on her ice cubes. This afternoon they got to spend some time outside. Boomer tried leaping off of my lap and onto the table... and had himself dangling! I quickly scooted him up so he wouldn't fall! Little Bella was being silly this afternoon. She would look up at me, crouch down on the ground and we'd just stare at each other. If I made the slightest move, she would jump around and let out a little huff sound! Tonight I gave them a slightly shorter visit since mom and dad will be home soon! I let the babies out in the backyard while Ladybug, Boomer and I went for our nightly walk. It's so funny, Ladybug knows what time it is! She tried running over to the gate all day, then looked at me. "Can we take our walk now?" But tonight she knew for sure and jumped around by the gate so excitedly! I gave them all their greenies for today. Yesterday I noticed that Bella didn't eat hers, which Bo happily helped her with! Tonight I watched after I gave it to her, and she ran around behind their crates. I walked over to see better, and she was burying it in the sheet in the corner! Silly girl!

Dakota & Benny

It had stopped raining just in time for our walk today and the sun was just starting to peek out. It wasn't too hot out yet, so we went for a nice long walk! Kota and Benny were trying to play with each other as they bounced along. Benny was getting excited about every little thing and let out little growls at things like scary open gates! Kota found a cricket that was hopping on the sidewalk and stopped to check it out! We passed a guy who was out getting his mail and he stopped to say hi and pet Kota. She went and laid right in her crate when we got home and Benny laid in the kitchen to cool down.

Baxter, Zues & Zelda

This morning I saw a little furry thing in the bushes! Zelda was snoozing under one of the bushes by the sidewalk. I walked over by her and she started to meow, but stayed all curled up in her comfy spot. After I pet her for awhile I let the boys out. Zeus was waiting, but I had to go get Baxter out from under the bed. Sleepy boy! Zeus was drinking out of the pool today. I tried to get him to stop, but had no luck. He sticks his whole face in there and blows bubbles with his nose while he's drinking! I guess the pool water tastes better than the two fresh bowls they get every morning? haha! Zelda was still sleeping in her spot when I went to say goodbye to her. Zelda was sunbathing in the driveway when I pulled in again this afternoon.  I spent a little time with her before going to let the boys in.  They were excited to see me and to get inside.  Zeus layed down in his usual spot in the entry way by the food and water where I sat by him for a while.  Baxter would come over when I called for him and snuggle up to me for a little bit before walking off.  We went back outside for a couple minutes before leaving and they got their treats that were laying in back from the neighbor.  I spent some more time giving Zelda some attention outside before leaving. 

Ladybug, Boomer, Bella & Bo

This morning the babies were wrestling around with each other all the way to the back door. Ladybug and Boomer were happy to get outside too. Boomer hopped right into my lap, then Ladybug squished her way on too. Ladybug gets a little jealous sometimes when I talk to or pet the others! I came back earlier today to let everyone back in because it was pretty hot and humid out. I got them a nice big bowl of ice. Ladybug and Bo crunched away on that while Boomer and Bella got working on their breakfast. This afternoon we played out for a little while before going back inside for them to cool off. Bo found two little juice bottles on the ground and started playing with them. He picked them up and carried them off somewhere! It was too hot to do much, so they all just laid in the shade after awhile. Tonight there was a nice breeze out and it had cooled down some. The puppies played out back while Ladybug, Boomer and I went for a nice long walk. A couple little chihuahuas came running to say hi to them! I could tell Boomer was getting tired since he started to hang back a little. When we got inside he and Ladybug both laid down on the cool floor while I let the babies inside.
