Mattie, Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

The little ones got to spend the afternoon outside. When I let them in they were all pretty excited, and Buddy was a little wheezy. It wasn't quite a cough, but sounded like he was trying to hold it back. That's the only time he did it tonight, when they were all riled up. I got Mattie up so she could go outside, but she was having trouble with the slippery floors tonight. After a few more times I got her outside, but she went down pretty quick again. I picked her up once more and she went over and got a drink, then laid outside for a bit. After that she got up on her own and was getting around ok out there. When she came in, she was pretty hesitant to step inside and I think she sort of voluntarily laid down right away. I gave them all their meds, and skipped the Temaril P for Buddy tonight like we talked about. I brought the bowl of water and some food by Mattie. She was pretty thirsty, but not interested in the food. Your mom left a note that she did eat her lunch though, so that's good! Sugar and Jimmy were climbing in my lap again while I sat with Mattie. Sugar kept nudging my hand with her nose! Buddy was talking tonight when I was there. I'm not sure exactly what he said, but kind of sounded like "good boy". Hopefully Mattie and Buddy are feeling better tomorrow morning!

Dakota & Benny

Kota was very talkative when I came to see them today! It was really nice out again for our walk today. Kota was very interested in everything. She was stopping to sniff all over. I think they both would pick up a scent trail at the same time, because all of a sudden they would both veer off the sidewalk in the same direction together! A little butterfly was floating around by us and Kota noticed it right away. She followed it, spun around in a circle after it and tried to eat it! She picked up a couple of those helicopter seeds from the maple trees and played around with them too. As we passed the last corner by Benny's favorite house, he started to do his little frog hop by the fence like usual. Suddenly he jumped and was scared for a second. A huge toad was right there and jumped up when it saw Benny coming! Benny checked it out for a minute, trying to figure out what it was.

Mattie, Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

They were all happy to see me this morning. Jimmy and Buddy both met me at the door, and Jimmy kept bouncing up at me! I let them out to go potty, then got their meds ready. Buddy did really good this morning and didn't cough at all. I mixed some of the treat food with the dry food like I usually do, to see if Mattie would even take it like that. She did, so I gave her more and she ate well for me and had some dry food too. I gave the other three a little bit just to keep them out of her bowl. Sugar was very snuggly with me this morning! She and Jimmy came over and sat in my lap for a little while. Miss Mattie started barking, so I got her up and outside for a bit. When she came back in she had a long drink of water, and I thought she might have more breakfast because she was sort of looking at the bowls like she wanted to. She laid down again in the kitchen and Jimmy snuggled up with her.

Toby, Tyson & Morgan

Toby was up and ready to go this morning. We went for another nice long walk right away. His little sniffer was working overtime! He was stopping to smell everything, and a few times he was so interested in a certain spot that he just wouldn't budge! We heard a rooster as we went along, and he perked his ears up, then looked at me like he was asking, "What was that?" When we got home I let him play out in the backyard for awhile. The kitties were waiting for us when we got back. I spent some time with Tyson and Morgan while Toby was exploring. They both followed me around and came to me for attention as soon as they knew Toby wasn't there to chase them away! Tyson was rolling around for me and loving up every minute. Morgan was talking to me like usual. He even was a little playful this morning and was batting and my hands, then back to purring while I pet him. Toby came back inside and I pet him for awhile too before it was time to go.

Koko & Sierra

I don't think the girls were expecting to see me today! I liked Sierra's nice big bed in her crate. I let them out and they were pretty happy and said hi for a minute before heading to the kitchen. Sierra was too excited to eat her supper for me. After Koko was finished and they had a chance to go potty, we played lighty for the rest of the time. Sierra was chasing the light a lot more than usual, and Koko grabbed a toy and watched. I'm really going to miss these two!

Dakota & Benny

Benny was crying at the door before I got inside. After I came in, he did his usual laps around the living room! I was getting the leashes out of the closet and asked Kota if she was ready to go, since she wasn't by Benny and I. She came leaping over the back of the couch and bounced again as she touched the floor! She's like a little deer! We got going on our walk after they made their routine pit stop. They were both getting pretty tired as we got a little over half way finished. Kota got yet another praise of her beauty today! A little maltese, smaller than even Benny, came charging up behind us all of a sudden. I don't know where it came from, but it sure was brave! We were just about to pass the corner and it didn't follow us, so I guess it lived nearby. That woke Benny right up and he got another burst of energy. After we got home I gave them some nice ice cold water and they both laid down to relax.

Toby, Tyson & Morgan

I walked in this morning and Toby and Morgan snoozing on the back of the couch. As soon as Toby saw me he was at my feet jumping up and down. We went for a long walk this morning before it got too hot out. He was just fine on the walk and was checking things out as we went along. We had a little Kildeer bird join us! It walked too and stayed maybe 10 feet ahead of us the whole time. After we got home, Toby wanted to go play in the backyard. I tossed his ball for him for awhile. Morgan wanted some attention this morning too, so I pet him while trying to keep Toby occupied! Tyson was in the bedroom sleeping in the crate. This afternoon Toby and I went for another long walk. When we got back he was pretty tired. He still had a little energy to play with his squeaky duck! Morgan was sleeping in a chair in the kitty room. After I finished cleaning their boxes, he followed me all over the place. Tyson was still all snuggled up in his crate in the bedroom! Tonight I let Toby out back to play for awhile. The june bugs were starting to swarm around me, so I couldn't stay out there with him very long. He was fascinated by them! They were having trouble flying, so he checked them out. Then he started hunting them! I went in and gave Morgan and Tyson some attention. Tyson rolled around on his back for me for awhile. Morgan followed me around and was talking to me again while I pet him. Everytime I let Toby in, he wanted to go right back out and play with his bugs! Toby and Morgan both wanted to come with me tonight when it was time to go.

Toby met me at the door, sniffed me for a second and then got excited! He jumped up and down and started licking me immediately. Tyson and Morgan came out to see what all the commotion was about. I took Toby for a walk right away. We didn't go for very long, because all of a sudden he turned around and high-tailed it back towards home. I'm not sure if he just got too hot, or something spooked him, or what. I'm thinking he just misses his parents! He cried a little bit this afternoon. Poor baby boy! We went and played out in the backyard for a little while. The kitties both kept trying to say hi to me, but Toby would get jealous and chase after them so he could have all the attention to himself! Later Morgan came by me for awhile and was talking to me while I pet him. Tonight Toby was much more excited to see me! He was full of energy, so we went and played in the backyard. We played fetch with his little squeaker ball, and then he played keep away while I chased after him! He explored around the yard for a little bit before we headed back inside. Morgan and Tyson were waiting for us. I walked over to go pet them, but Toby beat me and scared them off. Later Tyson was rolling around on the floor and Morgan was having some supper. Toby snuggled up on the couch for awhile with me while I gave him a good back scratching.

Dakota & Benny

Today it was little miss Dakota who was running circles around the living room! She'd run around then take a shortcut and hop over the couch. I guess someone was excited to go for a walk today! Benny joined her in the race around the room. They each hopped into a bush outside by the mailbox to go potty before we got started. Benny went over and had to cover Kota's spot too. Silly boy! They were curious about everything today, especially Kota. She had to stop and check out all kinds of things. She really wanted to chase a few birds that we saw, and tried to run and catch them. When Benny was passing his favorite houses, she got excited too and tried to start running with him. Kids were just getting home from school and the bus was passing by us towards the end of our walk. Kota and Benny were both curious about all the kids they were seeing. Kota kept looking back to watch them. By the time we got home they were ready for some water!

When I pulled in the driveway tonight, the little ones all came running around the corner to see who was here. Mattie did too! I let them all in and got their supper ready. Mattie was roaming all over and following me around. She did look really good tonight! Mattie and Jimmy were waiting for me to put their bowls down. Buddy and Sugar joined in as soon as I opened the container! After they all ate, Mattie went and rolled around on the floor. She was getting up and down really well tonight. I sat down by her and Jimmy came over by us too. Sugar was busy moving from bowl to bowl, making sure she got every last bit of the good stuff! I usually give them all a treat before I leave, and walk over to give Mattie her treat last. Tonight she actually followed me into the bedroom and waited for hers!
