Dakota & Benny

Kota and Benny were happy to see me again for the third day in a row! Kota was wooing at me the whole time! We went for our usual long walk today since it was just so nice out. They were both hopping along at first since they were so excited. Benny started to get pretty tired after we got about half way. I know because he was even too tired to bark at his usual houses! He did save up enough energy for the last one though, where he usually zooms along the fencline with the little dogs on the other side! When we got back I got them some cool fresh water and checked to see if you had ice cubes. My Nikita likes them for treats, so I thought I'd give them one. I think they weren't quite sure what to do, so they both dropped them on the floor and looked at them for a minute. So, instead I just put them in their water bowl so they wouldn't melt all over the floor. Then Kota started grabbing them all out! I put them back in and put some in her bowl in her kennel too. After she went in, she would stick her whole nose in the water to grab them out! Mine does that sometimes too! It's so funny. Then she finally started eating them after she fished them out.

Pheonix, Cole & Oliver

The boys were all watching me through the window while I was talking to the city guys outside. So when I finally came in they were brimming over with excitement! I let them all out right away and it was so nice out already. They lined up for their yum yums as soon as they finished doing their business. The rest of the time they spent outside, exploring and enjoying the weather! Cole had some lunch, and I think he decided it was a little too windy out for him, so he hung around just inside the door. Pheonix laid out in the grass and was smelling the wind for a long time. Oliver came running over to me for attention, and kept going inside to check on Cole.

Dakota & Benny

Kota, Benny and I decided to take a little shorter walk today. We took one of our older routes. Benny of course had to mark all the mailboxes again! haha! He's so cute strutting around with his new haircut! I think he thinks he's more brave now. He ran up toward a couple of the houses today with dogs in the back, and giving them his big bark. We went and played in the backyard for the rest of the time after Kota and Benny got a big drink in the house. Benny was chasing around with the neighbor dogs along the fence. Kota was exploring for awhile, so Benny had to see what she was up to. She was fascinated with this bush! I don't know what she thought was in there, but she sure tried to get it! Benny noticed across the street a lady was loading her dog up in the car, so he got excited. After he couldn't see the dog anymore, he noticed there was a ball sitting next to him! He picked it right up and started running around with it!

Pheonix, Cole & Oliver

The boys were happy to see me today! I think little Oliver missed me, because he was by me a lot wanting me to pet him. I see he got his surgery! I know who didn't miss me... Pheonix! No just kidding, he was following me everywhere and giving me tons of kisses! It was really nice out this morning, so we spent most of the time outside. The boys wandered around, and did their business. They were so excited for their yum yums! After awhile Pheonix just laid in the grass and just enjoyed the nice weather. Cole and Oliver were either exploring in the yard or coming to me for attention.
"Can I have my yum yum now pretty please??"

Dakota & Benny

Benny is so handsome with his new haircut! I'm sure that'll help him cool down quicker after our walks! Poor little guy gets so pooped. It was really nice out today for our walk. Kota was watching a bird that was flying from house to house with us! She really wanted to go get him. Everyone had their dogs out in their yards I think today, so Benny was super excited! After we got back Kota had some lunch and Benny waited for me to get his fresh cool water. He came over by me and rolled over to get his tummy rubbed! I think he really likes his haircut. He was pretty tired still, and went and laid on the tiles to help him cool down. I'm not sure if he's going to be able to handle the walk if it gets too much hotter out! Maybe we'll have to cut them a little shorter and spend the rest of the time playing in the backyard where he can have some water. He's such a cutie! :)

Mattie, Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

Thanks for the cheesecake! It was sooo good! :) Mattie was up and ready to go outside when I got there tonight. She looks really good tonight and had a bit of energy! She seemed comfortable and was getting around well. I got their meds and supper ready. They were all excited to eat! I brought a bowl over to Mattie so she wouldn't have to get up. When the little ones were done, Mattie decided to get up and have some more dry food. Buddy found a rawhide and was trying to find a place to lay down with it that the other two couldn't get at him. He didn't cough at all tonight. Mattie stood at the end of the counter and looked at me like she wanted something. I asked her "what?" a couple times and she kind of started to get playful! She danced around a little and got excited. If she could get down on her front legs with her heiny in the air, I think she would've! Later I gave her a big tummy rub. Jimmy was trying to steal my attention away! I gave them all a treat before I put them to bed.

Dakota & Benny

It was a really nice day for our walk today! As soon as we got outside, Kota and Benny both hopped into the same bush by the mailbox to go potty! haha! They did their little race at the beginning again. It was a pretty quiet day in the neighborhood. There were only a few of the normal houses that had their dogs out in the backyard as we went by. Kota got another compliment on how beautiful she was today! A guy driving by stopped and said he has a husky that looks just like her, and that she was just such a beautiful dog! There was a ball laying by the sidewalk and Kota pushed it with her nose as we walked past. I thought for sure Benny would scoop it up and make a run for it, but he must not have seen it. Kota had some pretty soft stool again day. They both were pretty tired by the time we got home.

Miss Ella & Cali

Miss Ella was at the door today. Cali didn't come running like last time, so I went looking for her. I found her in one of the bedrooms all snuggled up on the bed. Miss Ella followed me around like normal, rubbing against my legs as I did the chores. After I watered the trees and plants, I came in to see Cali and Miss Ella waiting by the back door for me. They wanted to go out on their porch! It was raining all morning, but had gotten nice out by the time I came to see them. So we sat outside again for awhile today. Cali curled up in the window sill and Miss Ella looked out the screen door in between coming to me for attention.

Kira, Bunky & Lisa Lee

Lisa Lee was sleeping on the chair underneath the kitchen table today and Bunky was in her spot on the bed. Kira came into the kitchen when I was saying hi to Lisa Lee. Kira and Lisa Lee followed me into the bedroom and hopped up on the bed while I said hi to Bunky. Lisa Lee kept trying to snuggle up to Kira. Kira would move away, and she would follow her and try again! After I fed them and cleaned their litter box and potty pads, Kira and Lisa Lee came and sat in the living room with me. They both wanted lots of attention! Lisa Lee hopped up in the chair with me for a little bit. She came over by me everytime I called her today. I had them both purring like crazy!

Dakota & Benny

Kota and Benny were happy to get outside for a bit. Kota immediately started racing around the backyard, with mud flying up behind her! Benny was chasing back and forth along the fence with the neighbor dogs. They turned into a couple mud puppies really quick! Kota and Benny were hanging out behind the shed for awhile, so I went back there to see what they were up to. There must have been something under the shed that they were after! There was a big hole that Kota kept sticking her head into and all of a sudden, then Benny disappeared! He was underneath the shed doing who knows what. Kota was running back and forth between the front and back trying to see what was going on. She stuck her whole face into a mud puddle by the entrance! I think she really wanted to go under there with him. When Benny emerged, he was no longer a white dog. He was completely brown! The first pic is before he went under there, and wasn't too terribly muddy yet... compared to after haha. I hosed Kota off out side, since her legs were really the only parts that were muddy. I picked Benny up, took him into the bathroom and gave him a quick bath! He was a very good boy for me. So if he's still a little damp when you get home, that's why!
Benny almost blends in with the ground!

"Hey, where you going?"
(That little white thing by Kota's right front foot is the last you can see of Benny!)
