Roxie, Ralphi & Rudy

It was raining for a bit before I got there tonight. The pups were very quiet when I came in. They surprised me when I opened the laundry room door and came running out! Rudy almost took out the manger scene with his tail. Only a few got knocked over though. Roxie was happy to see me and kept jumping up until I started petting her. Usually Ralphi does that! Rudy and Ralphi were chasing each other around outside trying to get the log from each other. I figured they would get pretty muddy, but they actually weren't bad at all! Roxie stayed and snuggled by me trying to get out of the cold wind. I was kneeling down and Ralphi came over for some attention too. They did circles around me going under my jacket. I brought them all in and wiped everyone's paws. Then they all sat and stared at me, waiting for their treats... I got a few bigger pieces from the jar and gave them that. They didn't seem to mind too much!

Cali

Cali is doing very well today. I came in and she started purring and rolling around again. She ate all her soft food from the night before. She munched on her hard food while I was there. When she was done she went to sit on the rug in the dining room and looked up at the counter where her soft food was waiting! Cali followed me around and watched from just outside the doorway while I cleaned her litterboxes. I would look over at her and then she'd crash onto the floor and start rolling. She let me pet her a lot more today. I could hear her static electricity when she would get up from rolling around! So needless to say we got shocked again today. lol We played with her mouse again and she didn't get upset this time. She kept coming over and rubbing against me and a few times would walk around behind me and lean against my back. One time she jumped up and tried to get on my shoulders! She's so funny!

Duffy & Dory

The girls were both sitting in the recliner when I came in. Dory immediately came down to say hi. She ran off, came back carrying her ball and was sitting at my feet. I tossed that back and forth with her for awhile. Someone got sick in the bathroom, so I got that all cleaned up. Doesn't look like they've been eating a whole lot either. I gave them both a treat and they were pretty excited for that! After Duffy was done, she went back into the bedroom. Dory and I played with her ball and squeaky toy until it was time to go.

Cali

Cali was right at the door when I came in. She started rolling around all over the floor right away. I could hear her little motor running the whole time. She nibbled on her food and drank some water while I was getting her soft food ready. After that warmed up a little I gave it to her and she ate most of it right away. Then she went back to rolling around on the floor! We played with her little green mouse for awhile till she'd had enough. She let me know! lol She sure did chase that thing around though. Of course after her detours of coming over to rub up against my legs and get pet a little bit. Poor girl... one or both of us had some static electric charge going, so every time I'd pet her we'd both get a little zap!

Oh, and thank you both for the cookies! I told Cali thanks too and told her that daddy misses her very much already!

Duffy & Dory

Duffy greeted me at the door today. She rolled over at my feet and I pet her for awhile. Dory was sitting on the arm of the chair staring at us excitedly! When I got up Duffy took off and went behind the couch. She must be a little more shy than she was yesterday. Dory came over and snuggled in my lap and was just loving up all the attention. I got her ball out and we started throwing that around. I went to look for Duffy behind the couch, but then she went into the bedroom, so I just gave her space for today. Dory kept bringing the ball back to me and pushing it on my hand, without letting go. She wanted to play tug of war! Sometimes she'd bring it back and drop it near me. If I didn't pick it up right away she would pick it back up and drop it closer to me, then nudge it with her nose. She's so cute!

Mattie, Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

All the little ones went potty outside right away this afternoon. It warmed up quite a bit so it wasn't so bad out. I went out with them and we all stayed out for a little bit. Mattie was a lazy girl and didn't want to get up. Jimmy started rolling around in the grass so I had to brush him off before we went in. Buddy was having a hard time trying to get up on the couch. He kept trying with a running start, but just couldn't do it. Finally, after maybe a dozen tries he got up! I was snuggling with the Jimmy and Sugar, while Mattie hadn't left her spot. Eventually she started barking like "hey what about me?" and she came over. Charlie said "hi" while I was there. Then he said something else, but I wasn't quite sure what it was. I gave everyone some treats and put them back to bed.

Benny

It was weird walking without Dakota today. This afternoon warmed up a little, so it was a nicer day to go for a walk. Benny did really well and didn't stop too much. We walked pretty far since I didn't have two of them pulling me in different directions and each of them stopping at different times to check stuff out! lol Benny sure doesn't like Christmas decorations in people's front yards. We passed a large nativity scene and I think that's the loudest I've every heard him bark! He also got upset at a garbage can in someone's driveway. He's so funny! We got back home and played for a few minutes before I left. He was rolling all over the carpet itching himself. So then I scratched his itchy spots for him too!

Mattie, Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

All the little ones were very thirsty this morning! They all ran to the water bowl and drank a long time. Buddy drank so much, so fast that some came back up... No one wanted to go outside today, except for Mattie. She was waiting at the door to go out. Usually she is the last one to get up when I come in. I got them all outside finally except for Sugar, who was under the bed. Once everyone was back inside and getting their meds she popped out, so I grabbed her quick and put her out. She was not happy about that! She was pawing at the door and barking to come in, and I don't think she went potty. So I let her back in. Both her and Jimmy's blankets were wet so I changed them. Guess she didn't have to go! I gave them all their treats and Buddy brought his on top of the couch. Jimmy and Sugar went over to try and get it from him. Buddy accidently knocked it to the floor behind the couch, but thought he still had it. Sugar took off and snatched it up! Buddy searched and searched for it... poor guy! I gave him a new one when he went to bed.

Dakota & Benny

They were excited to go for their walk today! Kota didn't stop "woo woo-ing" till we left. It sure was chilly out today, but they didn't mind! We stopped to let Benny go potty and Kota noticed an empty dog food bag laying in the street by the curb. She really wanted to check out what it was! When Benny was finished he saw it too and started growling at it. Later we came up to a house that had all kinds of Christmas decorations in their front yard. Benny started growling at it! It was so funny! We were headed back home and turned a corner. I had taken this way once before. Today there was a dog outside in the front yard, no leash, no owner, and his hair stood up on his back and he started coming toward us... I quickly started taking Benny and Kota the other way. We got home safely and they nibbled on some food while I filled their water bowls.

Mattie, Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

I let everyone out to go potty tonight. Sugar didn't want to go outside and hid under the bed. Jimmy helped me look for her! He crawled under the bed with her for a minute. She still didn't want to come out. We went and sat in the living room. Buddy came over and crawled on the top of the sofa. Buddy and Jimmy both like to go on the arm behind me and stick their noses in my hair at the back of my neck! Mattie came and sat by me, nudging my arm. Jimmy gets jealous when she does that. After a little bit she was laying down, then itching herself on the carpet by rolling around! Eventually Sugar came out of hiding so I let her outside. Later Mattie went to the back door and started barking so I let her out again, while I started putting the rest to bed. She didn't seem to want to come back in! I think Charlie started saying something when I was watching out the window. Usually he just makes his squaking sound. I had to bribe Sugar to come out, since she went back to hiding. Oh! I also discovered recently that if I say "what's that?" really quickly, Buddy will stop whatever he's doing, perk his ears straight up and stare at me! See below... lol.
