Rusty, Ruby & the kitties

This afternoon I came in and my buddy Rusty was snuggled on the couch. I let Ruby out and she took off running around the house. She disappeared down the hallway. I called for her, then she finally went outside. It was pretty cold out today! We decided to stay in and visit. Lance came and snuggled with me for a bit, then he hopped down. Suddenly, he got the urge to attack my feet! Haha. He kept coming after my toes and meowing. So he followed, while I tried to find his toy to play with instead. Rusty and Ruby snuggled up next to me, while I kept the silly kitty busy.

Sadi & Stormy

This morning I got breakfast together for the girls when I got in. I spotted Stormy curled up on the bed, sleeping soundly. When I brought their food in, I found miss Sadi, getting herself a drink. She seemed a little out of it this morning. I picked her up to give her her morning medicine. Sadi was a bit congested, but I cleared out what I could. I set her down by the food and she was a hungry girl! She went to work on eating. So, I cleaned out their box while I waited. Miss Stormy came in to get a bite to eat as well. This evening I saw Stormy sitting on the back of the couch in the dark. She gave me a meow when she saw I was looking at her. Sadi was all curled up and cozy in her little bed. She seemed better this evening, and not quite so stuffy. She took her medicine like a champ, then I set her by her food and water.

This evening I smiled when I walked into the bedroom and saw the girls. They were snoozing away, all snuggled in their kitty bed together, on this cold winter's eve. I felt bad that I had to wake them up! Sadi was nice and warm when I picked her up. I gave her her night time medicine. She decided to get a drink when she was done. I made sure they had plenty of food and water for the evening.

Gracie, Emma, Molly & the kitties

This morning I let the older gals outside right away. Then, I opened the kennel for Gracie. She sat in there a minute and looked at me, then slowly crawled over to me. Once I started to pet her, then she went into wiggly heiny mode! I got up to walk to the kitchen and she got all crazy excited. I think we're good now! I sat at the table and she kept crawling under my legs, wanting her attention. I left her for a minute to get breakfast ready. She took her potty break next, then it was time to eat. I had a few pupperoni on the table for after their meal, and Smudge kept trying to carry them away. Haha! The girls happily ate their treats before I left. This afternoon I walked in and Gracie was doing her happy wiggles. Molly and Emma went outside for awhile. Gracie sat with me, then Henry and Smudge were wandering around on the table. Gracie went outside for her turn. She didn't waste any time. It's cold out! Then, we went in the living room and I sat on the chair by the fireplace. Gracie was running back and forth under my legs, jumping up in the chair and sitting behind me, and being just silly girl! She hopped down and started playing with a teddy bear. Molly and Emma came by me for a few pets, which made Gracie come running back. This evening, bot Gracie and Emma were at the door, ready to see me. I let the older gals out first, then Gracie, before dinner. No one wanted to be out in the blizzard for very long! They came in and all ate their dinners. Henry was busy getting his head and chin rubbed while we waited. Molly got her medicine, and the ladies all got a bedtime snack. I had a good laugh tonight as I went back through my pictures from today... I didn't get a single good picture of Gracie, because she was always wiggling around and being silly! This one made me laugh!

Tonight Henry met me at the door, just like we never missed a beat! I saw Gracie when I walked in, and she went straight to the bedroom. Emma wandered out, so she and Molly took a potty break outside. All the kitties, except for Sam, came to see me tonight! Henry and Smudge sat on the table for a few pets. Then, I saw my buddy Micah. He came trotting in for a little attention too. His motor was going instantly! I got the girls their dinner and went to get Molly's pill out. When I turned around, Charlie had joined the others in the kitchen to see me as well. I let the ladies in to eat, while Gracie took her turn outside. I think she remembered the routine. When she came in, I talked to her in my silly way, then I knew she remembered me! The other two girls were getting all excited too, and had me surrounded, so she couldn't quite get in by me. But that was ok. All I need to see was her hopping around with her cute little smile! I didn't want to push it too much tonight, since I wanted her to be comfortable. I didn't even have to ask, and she went right to her bed for the night. She definitely remembered our routine! I got the kiddos tucked in for the night.

Oreo & Stuffs

Today Oreo wasted no time finding me in the kitchen to come say hi! He was busy rubbing up against my legs, while I got them some new food. He nibbled a bit, while I went to clean up their box. When I walked out of the laundry room, both boys were sitting at the living room entry, watching and waiting for me to return! Haha. They both followed along to visit with me when I sat down. Stuffy wandered off to go snack on some food a bit. I got out a couple toys for Oreo, but he was not amused. Haha. I got out the laser light next, then he immediately slunk down to the floor, ready to chase and pounce! Oreo raced around trying to catch it. Stuffy must have heard that, because he soon appeared around the corner. Oreo watched while Stuffy took his turn. Oreo must have worked up an appetite! He returned to the kitchen to eat some more, so Stuffy stayed to keep me company.

Pokey

This morning Mr. Pokey was lounging on his bed in the living area. He hopped down and we headed outside right away. He spent awhile roaming around and keeping watch on the neighborhood. When he wanted to head inside and warm up, we sat in the chair. He snuggled up on my lap and took a snooze. This afternoon Pokey was up and ready for me. We went to the backyard and he stood by me for a minute to say hi. Then, he wandered off to do his thing. He checked things out, then just spent some time sitting and relaxing. We spent the whole time outside this time! When we went in, I made sure he had plenty of food and water for the afternoon.

Pokey

This morning Pokey was up and on his way to see me when I walked in. I pet him hello, then we headed outside. He did his business, then roamed around a bit. While we were out, it began to rain. That sent little Pokey to the door, ready to go in. I sat on the chair and Pokey snuggled up with me for awhile. This afternoon Pokey barked from the back of his chair, until he could see me. He hopped down to come say hi. The rain had stopped, so we went outside. Pokey roamed around quite a bit longer this time. While he was busy exploring, I went to check on the crab in the girl's room. This evening, Pokey heard me coming in. He hopped down from his napping area and met me at the back door. He took a quick potty break, then was ready to come back in shortly after. We spent quite awhile snuggled up in the chair together. He was happy to be pet. Pokey even fell asleep for awhile!

Oreo & Stuffy

This evening all was dark in the house when I arrived. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw something light by the tv. I flipped the lights on, and saw that it was Stuffy! He was just sitting in the dark by the tv, watching me. Creepy! Haha. Oreo came and attached himself to my legs. Someone was hungry! I got him some fresh food, which he worked on while I cleaned their box. He came to visit me in the living room for a little bit. It wasn't long, before Oreo wandered off. Stuffy came to take his spot. He was happy to have some attention again. Stuffs laid by me for me to pet him. Eventually, he got up as well, to go snack on some food.

Today I let Ruby out when I arrived. Lance was sitting there, trying to swipe at the dogs as they'd walk by. Goofy cat! The pups and I headed outside for awhile. Rusty was exploring. Miss Ruby was running around, being silly. Rusty had come up onto the patio by me. Ruby came running, and jumped clear over him on her way to go inside! We went in and I spent some time with Lance. The pooches snuggled up on the couch next to me. Lance curled up on my lap for a bit and purred away. He even came up to give me a couple licks on my chin. Then, we played with his mouse awhile. I went to take Rusty outside for his turn to play, but I guess he was comfy in his spot on the couch. He didn't budge!
