Flax

This morning I was met at the door by little Boney. I looked inside and didn't see Flax, so he must have been out and about this morning. I could hear him barking, so I went out to look for him. He came around the corner of the front of the house. He walked up and leaned on me, ready to be pet. He followed me into the garage to get the boys their breakfast. While they were busy eating, I went in to get them some fresh water and to feed Mr. Fishy. I took some food out for Booty, but it looks like he didn't stop by overnight. This afternoon the boys had returned to their spots on Flax's bed. Boney was in a playful mood! As I was petting Flax, he came over and was playing with my jacket. Then, he was swatting at my fingers, thinking they were funny toys inside my gloves. Later, he bolted for the back door and found some shoes in his path. He tackled those and rolled around, trying to eat them! Crazy little guy! This evening I met the nanny and helped her find her phone. Flax was lounging on his bed, while Boney was busy following us around. He kept thwarting our efforts to close the garage up, by running under the door at the last second, tripping the sensor. Haha! I made sure to get the boys their yummy dinners and turned the heaters on for them for the night.

Rusty & Ruby

Today I peeked around the corner and saw Rusty curled up on the couch. His little heiny started going right away, as he hopped down to see me. I let miss Ruby out and went to the back door. This time, no one followed me, so I had to call for them a couple times. Finally, they came out and did their business. The wind was blowing pretty good today, so it felt colder. We went in and snuggled up together in the living room awhile. Rusty and Ruby sat on either side of me. Then, little kitty hopped up in my lap. He was purring away loudly! He kept trying to crawl up by my face. Cute little one! Later, we went outside again, and the little kitty followed us to the back door. I made sure only the pups came out with me. I tried to get Rusty to play fetch with me, but he was having fun just exploring.

Sadi & Stormy

This morning I walked in and saw Sadi sitting by the back door, soaking up some sun. She was content, just looking out the back door. I got their food ready and Stormy appeared to say hi in the kitchen. I changed out their litter box quick, then went out to get Sadi. Stormy had snuggled up to her and they both were sitting in the beam of sunlight coming through. Sadi got her meds and I got her all cleaned up. When we finished, she was placed by the food and in her box, but she wasn't ready for either. She wandered out to our spot, where Stormy was waiting. She was in a playful mood today, and kept swatting for Sadi as I brushed her. I tossed Stormy the sock toy and she rolled around with it all on her own!

Rusty & Ruby

This afternoon Rusty came running into the kitchen to see me. The little kitten was not far behind him, jumping on a chair to stay out of the way. I let Ruby out and we all headed outside. Rusty had his ball ready for me, as usual. I tossed it for him a couple times. He was more worried  about trying to get the snow off of it! He would paw at it, then it would roll and get more snow on it. So, he would attempt to bite it off. He tried to carry it back with some snow on it, but he wouldn't get far before he'd have to drop it, because it was too cold! It turned out to be a pretty nice afternoon. The sun was out and the snow was melting. We headed in for a little bit. Rusty and Ruby sat on the couch with me to be pet. Our little kitty friend joined us in the living room. He would occasionally swat at Rusty as he'd walk by. He's so funny! Rusty and I went back out to play fetch a little more before I left.

Sadie, Zoie & Cole

This morning I let Zoie outside. She spent a little bit wandering out there, then I heard her barking about something. She had gotten herself stuck! I got her loose and dried her off before letting the other two out. I got them all their breakfast, and Cole got his morning pill. Zoie made sure to get her Frisbee out to play. She flopped it in my lap, wanting to play some tug. Sadie was goofing around, rolling on the floor and being silly. Cole was happy just getting his heiny scratches. I bounced a ball around for him a bit too. Sadie was hanging around the back door for a bit, so I let her out again. She spent a bit exploring out there. This afternoon, the pups all met me at the door. After they all had their potty breaks, Zoie was excited to gather up her toys for me. Sadie spent awhile outside again, since it was pretty nice out. The sun was shining and melting the snow. This time, she was the one who got stuck! This evening Sadie was bouncing around, excited to go outside. She was happy sitting out there for awhile, keeping an eye out for her little black neighborhood kitty. Zoie kept busy bringing me toys to toss for her. I fed the pups their dinner before bed.

Sadi & Stormy

Today the girls were snuggled on the chair together when I walked in. I got their food ready, then Stormy hopped down and followed me to get started. There was an oopsie on the carpet, so I cleaned that up quick. Then, I woke up Sadi to give her her medicine. She didn't have a lot of discharge to clean up, so she sounded pretty good today. I set her by the food when we were done. Since she didn't want that at the moment, I put her front end in the litter box. She didn't have to use that either, so she headed to the living room. Stormy followed us too, then she sat on her sock. She batted that around for a few minutes, while Sadi got brushed. Stormy wandered off, then came back later for a few chin scratches. I took Sadi to eat a little before I left. As soon as she was done, I put her in the litter box again, and this time she went.

Flax

This morning the boys were snuggled on Flax's bed. Boney quickly got up and was following me around again. He tried to sneak in the house again today, when I went to feed the fish. Little goober! When I came back out, he was sitting on his table, ready to be fed. He was being a little spunky this morning, trying to hop from the table to the shelf. Well, that didn't work out well for him. He slipped and fell down, but caught himself half way. So he was just dangling from his front paws, a half a foot from the ground. I helped him down, then went to take some food out for Booty. His bowl was gone again, so at least someone is coming to eat. This afternoon the boys were both awake. I got them some more water, then applied some ointment to Flax's cheek. Boney was wandering around by my legs, so I sat and pet them a bit. Later, Flax got up and wandered outside. Boney and I followed along. It had turned out to be a pretty nice afternoon. The sun was shining and warm. Flax picked a spot in the snow to curl up and relax. There was some perfectly dry pavement he could've laid on, but he wanted to lay in the cool snow instead. Boney was busy exploring and checking out the yard. After a little while, Flax went back to his cozy bed. This evening Boney met me at the door. He followed me around, ready to eat again! He is like a bottomless pit! Haha! I got Flax some dinner as well. Boney had to check that out too.

Sadie, Zoie & Cole

This morning everyone was excited to go outside. I let them each out, then dried them off. It was time for breakfast, so I put them each in their beds to eat. Sadie and Cole finished quickly. I let Zoie out while the other two were in the living room with me, since that seemed to help yesterday. It worked again. Since she wanted to play, she quickly finished up, so she wouldn't have to protect it. Haha! Sadie and Cole were busy hogging my attention, so Zoie was sitting by the table crying at me. That got Sadie riled up. Then, the girls were racing laps around the table! This afternoon Zoie got plenty of fetch time in after they all went outside. She kept bringing me a tennis ball, so I'd bounce it down the hall for her. The other two were content getting their scratches. This evening Sadie spent awhile outside, enjoying the snow falling. After everyone ate, we spent some time in the living room before bed. Zoie came running in with something I didn't think she should have! Once I got it from her, I realized it was a little dog bootie. I don't know where she got that from! When it was time, I tucked everyone in bed for the night.

Rusty & Ruby

This afternoon I came in and peeked in the living room to find Rusty all cozy on the couch. He was all snuggled in the blanket! I let Ruby out, then noticed the cute little kitten under the table. It was hissing as the dogs were going crazy! I picked the kitty up and set it somewhere safe from the commotion. The pups were both at the back door, waiting for me. I let them out and we headed outside. Rusty had his ball all ready to go. I tossed it around for him a little, then we went in to warm up. The pups both hopped on the couch and I sat with them and pet them a bit. The little kitten joined us and was playing in the window. I carefully bounced Rusty's ball around in the living room for him, since he kept putting it in my lap. Haha! Later, we went outside again so Ruby could have another potty break. I played fetch with Rusty some more before I left.

Flax

This morning the boys were in their usual spot, all toasty by the heaters. Boney got up and was following me around everywhere. Flax watched from his bed. I got them their breakfast, and both boys went to work on it right away. When Flax had enough, he went back to lay on his bed. I sat by him awhile and pet him. Little Boney came wandering over, wanting some pets too. Before I left, I took food out to the barn. I called for Booty, then heard a little meow coming from outside. Turns out, it was Boney. Haha! He came running over to check things out. I shooed him out of the barn and closed the door. This afternoon the boys were napping again when I walked in. I got them some fresh water. Boney tried coming in the house with me! I was able to stop him before he could run inside. Curious little kitty. As I was leaving, the boys both came outside. They wandered to the front yard together and were sniffing around at the snow. They're best buds! This evening my boys were snoozing, as usual. They both woke up when I turned the lights on. I got them their dinner and turned on their heaters. It was starting to snow pretty good again outside. The boys both worked on their food. Boney came over when he finished for the moment. He made me laugh! I was bending down to pet him and he started pawing playfully at my hair.
