Billy & Zoey

Yesterday, not much new happened with the kitties. I did my chores, then found them in their same spots under the bed. Today, however, things changed! I walked in and heard a tiny meow. I started walking around, trying to figure out where it was coming from. I finally found the meows were coming from the guest bathroom. Billy had locked himself in! Once I opened the door, he was walking circles around me, thanking me for saving him. He let me pet him for a little bit. Then, he followed along when I went to clean their litter. Billy eventually joined Zoey under the bed. I sat on the floor next to the bed a bit, hoping they would come out. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Billy had snuck out the other side and made his way to the living room. When he returned, he stopped by to let me pet him. Then, he went back to hide under the bed. We've made progress!

Butterscotch, Marmalade & Sweet Pea

This morning Butter and Marm both peeked their noses around the door as I was walking in. All three met me in the kitchen, ready to eat! They all danced around as I got their food ready. Butter took his morning pill, then they all got their yummy snacks. I went to check litter boxes after they finished. Butter made sure I got him the right amount of dry food first! He stood up a peeked into the container to supervise. Haha! I got out their string when I was done. Marm had already made himself comfy on his chair. He stayed there the whole time and took a little nap. Sweet Pea was swatting and chasing the string all over! I even got Butter playing for a little while too. We played until Sweet Pea stole it from me and ran off with it! Haha!

Butterscotch, Marmalade & Sweet Pea

Today Butter met me in the entryway when he heard me come in. The other two joined us in the kitchen shortly after. Butter was doing his stretches towards the counter, and meowing at me that he was hungry. He finished his food quickly, while the other two took a little longer. He, of course, tried to sneak over to Marm's plate a couple times. When they were finished, I went to scoop boxes. Sweet Pea was sitting in the living room when I was finished. Butter wandered over to be pet, then went to sit elsewhere. I got out their string and had Sweet Pea rolling around, playing with it. Marm played for a couple minutes, then wandered off. When I'd try to get Butter to play, he would just sit and stare at the string, not at all amused. Haha!

Griffin & Macy

This morning both pups were awake and ready to head outside. We all went out for a few minutes. When we came inside, Macy wandered to the kitchen to eat some breakfast. I sat with her to give her some company. Later, I saw they had crawled into each other's beds! Macy was pawing at the blankets in Griffin's crate to get it all comfy for her. Griffin was laying in hers. Haha! We went outside several times for shorter trips, since it was quite chilly out. When we came in, they both were quite spunky, bouncing around! Macy was rubbing her face on the floor and Griff was bouncing circles around her. Silly boy! This afternoon I came in and Macy was sound asleep. I touched her gently to wake her, and she popped right up and headed outside with us. Griff and I played a little fetch with his white ball outside. Once inside, we played with that and his rope toy awhile! Macy was busy snacking for lunch. Later, she came by me and wanted some attention. This evening the pups went outside for awhile. When they came in, Macy got a drink and nibbled on some food. Both pups sat by me for a little attention. Griff kept wanting his heiny scratched. Macy enjoyed having her ears rubbed awhile. Later, they got to go outside again for a bit, before it was time for bed. Griff was so happy to go out again that he raced to the door! We played some fetch until he stopped bringing it back.

Griffin & Macy

This afternoon I was greeted by some loud barks! I let Griff and Macy both outside. It sure was cold out today! They wandered around a bit and did their business. When they came back in, we sat in the kitchen a bit to see if they would eat. Griff just stood next to me and enjoyed a long back scratch. Eventually, both pups went and laid in their cozy beds. I had them come out, since they'll be in there later. We went back outside again and I got Griff's football. I threw it for him and he raced to go get it. Except, he never brought it back! He just explored instead. When we got in, he and I played with his rope toy a little. This evening the pups went outside to go potty. Griff came in and was bouncing around, being silly! I sat in the kitchen with them so they could work on dinner. Macy chowed down, while Griff went to lounge in the living room. We went outside one more time before bed. They will be nice and cozy warm in the house tonight. It is supposed to get even colder!

Billy & Zoey

Today I saw Billy again as I walked in. He didn't run off quite as fast aa yesterday. He stopped to look back at me a second, before going to hide. I cleaned up their box and litter messes, then made sure they had enough food. I noticed their water fountain wasn't running real well, so I took it to the sink to clean it out. After I plugged it back in, it seemed to be working much better! When I was done with that, I went to check on the kitties. They were both under the bed again, in the same exact spots!

Ollie

Tonight Ollie was looking right at me when I walked in. I saw he had soiled one of his towels, so I grabbed that out. We headed to the back door right away, so he could go potty. He just sat at the door, wanting to come in! He was excited for a new visitor I think. I let him back inside and got his dinner ready for him. He ran to the bowl and gobbled it all down as fast as he could. Once he finished, I took him outside and went along with him. After a couple minutes of sniffing at me, he finally went. I told him "Good boy" and we went in to play. I grabbed a squeaky toy and we played fetch for awhile. He was very good at bringing it back to me. A few times, he would fake me out and would quickly turn away as I grabbed for it! I could tell when he started getting tired. I got his bone for him and he played with that a bit. Then, he was determined to mount my leg. Haha! Later, we went outside once more for a last potty break. After a few minutes, he wandered to the grass and went. Then, I tucked him back in his bed with a fresh towel.

Lisa Lee

Today I came in and peeked in the bedroom for Lisa Lee. I didn't see any bumps on the bed. I went to take care of her things quick instead. When I went back in the bedroom, Lisa Lee heard me and hopped up on the bed. She loved her some attention today! She was rolling around on the bed, getting herself all staticy. Then, she would hang her head off the side, for me to scratch her chin. She got a little playful after awhile, so I tossed some toys around for her.

It was cold and rainy today, when I came to visit the kitties. I saw Billy when I walked in, and he made a run for the bedroom. I cleaned their litter box, then made sure they had enough food. I brought the vacuum out and picked up their litter trails. When I finished, I went to look for the kitties. I peeked under the bed and saw Billy again. He came close, but wasn't quite brave enough to come out from under the bed. I searched around for Zoey. I looked everywhere, then gave the bed another look. There she was! She was tucked in the corner behind a container. Maybe tomorrow they will come out for me.

Sadi & Stormy

This morning was cold and dreary outside. I got breakfast ready for the girls. Stormy and Sadi were both snuggled up under the bed together. I pulled Sadi out and Stormy lounged a little longer. Sadi sounded pretty good today, and didn't have much to clean up around her nose. I gave her all her meds and set her in by the food. She no more than touched the ground, spun around and headed for the living room! The girls took turns getting their liquid meds. Then, they snuggled up to me for some attention. I set the brush down for a second, and Stormy decided to itch her face on it. Her motor was running loudly today!
