Butterscotch, Marmalade & Sweet Pea

This morning Butter was waiting by the door for me. I came in and saw Marmalade and Sweet Pea were ready for me in the kitchen. I got all Butter's meds ready, then gave them one-by-one. He took them like a champ! He was hungry though! He kept standing up against the cabinets, pawing towards the counter, where his food was sitting. "Feed me... I'm about to waste away!" Haha. He scarfed his portion down, then made an attempt for Sweet Pea's plate. When I thwarted his efforts, he went and sat by their food bowl. He cracks me up! I scooped their boxes after they were finished eating. No one wanted to play with me this morning. They all took off and went elsewhere. As I was leaving, I saw Butter had climbed into the front bedroom window, and was watching me leave. This evening Butter was pawing at the counter again, while I got their food ready. They all worked on their dinner, and each cleaned their plate. I checked their boxes, then returned to the living room. Tonight they made up for not playing with me this morning! I got out the shoe string and had Butter pawing for it. Sweet Pea joined in next. I even got Marmalade to play! All three had a blast chasing after the string for quite awhile!

Dawn, Gallagher, Bobo & Snowflake

Today Dawn and Gallagher met me at the door. They both immediately started bouncing up and down excitedly! I read mom's note, then pulled down more food in their feeder for them. They followed me to the bedroom door, where we parted ways. I went in to visit Bobo and Snowflake for a bit. I saw Bobo right away, snoozing in their comfy bed. I checked around their cage, and realized Snowflake must be hiding somewhere in the blankets with him! She heard me and poked her little nose out at me. Bobo kept trying to check the trash can, while I scooped their boxes. Snowflake saw that and joined in. They both sniffed at me awhile when I was done. I got them each a couple treats. Snowflake ran off to her tunnel by the cage to eat hers in privacy. Haha! I snuggled with each of them a bit until they wanted back down. Bobo eventually sprawled out and slid himself into a comfy spot on the rug. Snowflake burrowed back in the blankets to get warm and cozy. I went back out by the pups, who were anxiously awaiting my return! I got them each a cookie and we headed to the living room. Gallagher was too excited to eat his at first! Dawn scarfed hers down, since I was busy petting him. When she finished, she hopped up on the couch next to me for a bit. As I was leaving, Dawn joined Gallagher with her poor little raspy bark. He looked out the window to watch me go.

Jerrie & Kimmie

Today after I sorted through the mail, I went to take care of their food, water and litter boxes. I hadn't seen them in their room when I walked in, so I had to go find them when I finished. They both were curled up and cozy on the bed. It was a good day for a nap with the rain coming down! I sat on the floor beside the bed, where I could pet them both. Jerrie just sat and purred the whole time. Even Kimmie just closed her eyes and let me scratch her chin awhile. Kimmie kept yawning and making me yawn. Haha! Jerrie enjoyed being pet the whole time. As I left, they stayed put, in their comfy spots.

Sadi & Stormy

This morning I didn't get any greetings from Stormy. I went ahead and got their food ready, then took it to their room. As I was changing out their water, Stormy wandered in to eat. Miss Sadi was sleeping at her new spot under the top end of the bed. I couldn't reach her again, so I tried to wake her up. She did a stretch, then continued to lay there. Do you think she was laughing at me? Haha! She laid there for awhile, so I got Stormy and got her her meds instead. I came back and Sadi was still laying there. But this time, she finally got up and made her way out. Silly girl! She got her meds, then the girls sat with me for awhile. Stormy kept squeezing in between Sadi and I, for extra attention.

Mac & Abby

I had some bouncy puppies greeting me this morning. I lifted them out, then we headed outside. It was a little warmer out this morning and was supposed to be a nice afternoon! They ran around a little in the dewy grass. Mac and Abby took turns visiting me for some attention, in between snacking on their breakfast. I brought out their beds right away and got them warming in the sun. I got them some chicken jerky treats to snack on while we were sitting outside. This evening Abby raced inside to see me, then followed me back outside. They said hi, then ran off to go bark at a sound they were hearing. They're so funny! When we went inside, I sat on the floor with them. They both came racing over and rolled around for belly scratches. I got them some fresh food, water and cookies before bedtime.

Butterscotch, Marmalade & Sweet Pea

This morning Butter was peeking out the door at me as I came in. All the kitties rounded up in the kitchen, ready to eat! I gave Butters his pill, which he took just fine. They all sat and stared, until I put their food down. All three licked their plates clean. The boys worked on eating some hard food, while I went to scoop their boxes. When I finished, Marmalade was all curled up in his chair, and the other two were sitting in the living room. I got out the feather toy, but Butter wasn't too interested. Sweet Pea was sneaky and went around the back side of the table to pounce on it! But soon, she too, lost interest. I picked up their green froggy and filled him with some catnip. That got Butter all crazy! It was quite entertaining to see his big fluffy self rolling around with his froggy! This evening all the kitties met me in the kitchen again. They worked on their food for me. Then, Butter and Marmalade took turns eating their dry food. Butter came and sat by me for a little attention. I got out a shoe string to see if they'd be interested in that. Sweet Pea was quite playful! She swatted at the string and hopped after it. Butter just sat and watched.

Sadi & Stormy

This morning it took Stormy a couple minutes, but eventually she joined me in the kitchen. We had quite the conversation today! She was very talkative. We meowed back and forth, while I got her breakfast ready. Haha! She followed me, and we found Sadi already in their room, taking a drink. She sat patiently for her meds. The girls then joined me in the living room for awhile. Sadi got a little out of reach, so I had to bring her back over, in order to keep brushing her. Stormy laid down for a bit, then we played with her yellow mouse toy. Sadi got to go work on her food before I left.

Mac & Abby

This morning was a bit cool outside, but at least the sun was shining! I let Mac and Abby outside when I got there. Luckily, the sun was already shining on the patio. So, it was actually nice and warm there in the sunshine. I started to bring out their things for them. Abby was racing around the yard, barking at sounds. She didn't seem to mind the weather, so I decided they could stay out today. It would warm up pretty quick with the sun out. I left their fan off since it would be a little bit of a cooler day. Mac and Abby both worked on their breakfast, while I sat outside with them. Abby didn't race for the door when I was leaving like she did the last couple days, so I know she didn't mind staying out today. This evening the pups met me at the door. We stayed out a little longer tonight, while I was there. They both ate some more for dinner, in between running around. Mac had found a nice stick to chew on. He kept moving from one place to another, trying to find a good spot to lay and work on it. Eventually, we headed inside and I got them all cozy for the night. They got their bedtime snacks before I left.

Butterscotch, Marmalade & Sweet Pea

This evening Butters was sitting by the front door, looking out the window at me! He gave me a couple meows through the glass. Once inside, he followed me to the kitchen. Marmalade joined us right away too. Then, to my surprise, Sweet Pea hopped in the kitchen by us as well! I think maybe they remember me, because no one was acting shy at all tonight. That... or they were just really hungry! Haha! I got them their canned food portions. Butter finished first of course, and made attempts towards the other dishes. I stopped him, so he just sat and pouted really close by, waiting for his chance! Sorry buddy. When they all finished, I took care of their boxes and got them fresh food and water. I saw their toy box and got out a feather toy. Butter came to check out what toy I was getting. He didn't seem too interested at first. But, Sweet Pea decided to come watch. She sat close by. Butter started to play then, and Sweet Pea would swat at it when it came her way.

Sadi & Stormy

This morning I heard Stormy jingling as I opened the door. She met me in the kitchen, meowing hello. She got her meds quick, then she went to sit in the dining room. She came back to visit me in the kitchen once more, then followed me to their room. She snacked a bit, while I changed out their box. She was happy to use it right away when I finished! Sadi was sleeping in the same spot again. I couldn't reach her, so I woke her up again. She did a big stretch, then eventually came out to see me. She got her meds, then all three of us headed to our spot. The girls enjoyed their pets and brushes today.
