Jazzper

Jazzper was laying in her cozy house again today when I got there. She got up and headed for the door when she heard the gate, still not seeing me until I got up to her. She was trying to look inside to see if someone was home. I let her in right away to cool off. I got her peanut butter snack, with a little extra peanut butter today. It took her a little longer to lap it all up! She sure enjoys her treat though. This evening Jazzper was sleeping on her bed in the house when I arrived. I called for her and she hopped up and came outside with me. I got her another treat for being such a good girl. She went to a spot in the grass to work on that while I got her some food and water. Later, she came over and stood by me for some attention. She's such a sweet little lady!

Jerrie & Kimmie

Today Jerrie was sunbathing on the middle tier of his cat tower when I walked in. I said hi to him, then went to take care of their food, water and litter boxes. I walked around looking for miss Kimmie, but didn't see her anywhere. So, I went back in by Jerrie. I should've known she was in her favorite spot, behind the curtains! I saw her two back feet sticking out. I lifted the curtain up a little and said hi to her. I gave her a few chin scratches.  Next, Jerrie got his brush time in. He took a little cat nap while I brushed him. He would stretch out a leg or lay his head back, thoroughly enjoying every minute. He looks like he has a cute little smile on his face the whole time!

Bella, Louie & Chico

This morning everyone ran outside while I got their breakfast. Bella and Chico were very busy chasing after the birds this morning! There were two that seemed to be having just as much fun. A robin kept landing in the yard, as if to taunt them. So Bella would race to the other end of the yard to try and catch it, with Chico on her heels. Then, there was a Blue Jay that kept squaking, and flew back and forth, back and forth between two trees. A big dragonfly came into the yard next and flew right up to Bella. She jumped then raced after that too! The pups were all taking breaks in between their adventures to snack on their breakfast. Later, I saw Bella was checking out something by the door. It was a tiny little frog! I had fun watching her cautiously inspect it for a bit, then moved him to a safer spot. This afternoon Chico and Bella sure got their exercise! They were busy chasing back and forth across the yard. Someone was doing some work outside, so that noise had Chico racing from one side of the house to the other. They raced for quite awhile. Louie was outside with us most of that time too. He was snacking on Bella's leftovers, since no one was watching. Sometimes he would wander along behind the other two to check out what all the fuss was about. Soon, all three pups had wandered into the house to cool off. Bella and I messed around a little. I had fun making silly sounds and watching them tilt their heads at me! When it was time, I got their snacks ready and all three hopped into their beds.

Bubba

Today I called for Mr. Bubba again as soon as I walked in. I didn't see him right away, so I went to water the plants. Afterwards, I went in and checked under the bed and looked around in the living room for him. Still no Bubba today. He was here after I left yesterday though. I noticed he ate some food and most of the snacks that I had left for him. I'm sad that I missed him again! Anyways, I cleaned up and got him some fresh food and water. I waited a little bit again, but he must be out having fun. Next time!

Jazzper

Today Jazzper was sleeping in her house outside when I came. It took her a minute to locate me. She got up when she heard the gate close, but then she started wandering away from me and didn't see me until I got right up to her. She gave me a wag of her tail, then headed inside. She laid on the floor a little as she cooled off, then she made her way to her comfy bed. She got her treat and allergy pill before I headed out to water the plants. This evening I got miss Jazzper up to go outside. She followed me out and started rolling around in the grass, while I got her some food and water. She roamed around and picked out different spots to lay. She came over for a few pets, then wandered off some more. I got her another treat tonight, and she ran off into the grass to enjoy it!

Jerrie & Kimmie

Today I saw Kimmie perched at the top of the kitty tower, just relaxing. I headed in further and saw Jerrie was curled up on the floor, in the living room by the table. I stopped to say hi to him for a little bit, before tending to their things. Afterwards, I grabbed Jerrie's brush and headed to the front room. Jerrie followed along behind me and laid next to me on the floor. He enjoyed a long brushing today! He laid there and purred the whole time. Occasionally, he would adjust or roll to his side so I could get all the good spots! Kimmie got a short brushing session today as well. I think she's even starting to get into it a little. She rubbes her face on the bristles a couple times, like Jerrie does.

Bella, Louie & Chico

This morning everyone zoomed outside as soon as I opened their doors. I got them all their breakfast, then joined them outside. Louie and Chico were messing around with each other, while Bella was pacing the fence line. Chico hopped up in my lap and got some attention while Bella was eating her food. He hopped back down and would steal bites from her bowl while she was busy inspecting some sound she heard at the back of the yard. I checked on Louie, and he was inside lounging on his bed in the living room. He came running over to talk to me a little, on his way to go snack on his food. When it was time, we all headed in and they went to their beds. This afternoon was another hot and sticky one outside. I let everyone out, but we spent most of our visit inside. The pups went in and out as they pleased. Louie layed on his bed a bit, and Bella would come in and lay on the tile to cool off. Louie had fun rolling around on the floor while Chico tackled him. Then Bella tried it, but Chico wouldn't mess with her! He came and sat on my lap instead. Later, I heard a screetching sound from outside, which had all three dogs racing out the door to see what it was. I went out as well, and saw that it was a hawk sitting in the tree! It stopped making any sounds shortly after we got outside. Eventually, we headed in and Louie did his dance for the peanut butter snacks! This evening the pups headed out while I got them fresh food and water. While we were outside, we heard a donkey! That drove Bella wild. She started jumping around and was trying to figure out where the sound was coming from. Everyone was busy exploring outside tonight. They each took turns to go nibble on some food. Bella and Chico were the main ones on patrol, racing to check out every sound. Louie spent a lot of time inside, keeping cool. He would come over by me once in awhile so I'd help him get his itchies. I caught onto Chico's sneaky tactic tonight, that made me laugh! He would come by me when I was inside, so Bella would get jealous and come to try to steal my attention. This would get her away from her food bowl. Then, as soon as she wasn't looking, he'd run out to sneak a bite! Silly boy. Later, it was time for bed, so Bella and Louie went in. I had to go get Chico, since he was playing his hiding game.

Bubba

Today I called for Bubba when I got there. I didn't see him, so I got started filling his food and water, then scooped out his litter box. He still wasn't anywhere to be seen. I called around some more while I watered the plants. Bubba must have been out exploring today. I waited a little longer, but he still didn't show. Hopefully he will be there to visit with me tomorrow!

Jazzper

Today I heard Jazzper rustling around when I opened the gate. She must have heard it when it shut, because she stood right up and looked around. I got a couple big barks, then she came up and sniffed at me. She was ready to go inside and cool off a bit. She went right in when I opened the door, then went and made herself comfortable on her bed. While she relaxed, I went back out to water the plants quick. I came back in and pet her a little. She got her treat and allergy medication before I left. When I came this evening, Jazzper was up and ready to go outside. She came out with me while I dumped out her water. Then, she came bouncing along, in and out of the house, while I got her fresh food and water. She was an excited girl! When I finished, she did a little exploring about the yard. She came over to me for some attention time now and again as well.

Sadi & Stormy

Today Stormy came wandering out from under the dining table when she heard me open a fresh can of food! She rubbed up against the cabinet and meowed, then followed me into their room to grab a bite to eat right away. While she ate, I went to find Sadi. She was sunning herself out on the patio again. I pet her for a minute, then took her in to get her medicine. She was all kinds of stuffy today, so it took a bit to get her cleaned up. Once she was cleaned up, I could still hear her congestion pretty well, so she got an extra pill again today. She took a couple bites of food, then went right out to the living room. She enjoyed rubbing her face all over my hand. She purred away while I scratched her chin and chest. Stormy was rolling around under the table again today, and wasn't too interested in any attention.
