Taz & Clyde

This evening the boys came running when I got inside. We went outside right away so they could do their business. It wasn't long before someone in the neighborhood was lighting off loud fireworks. Taz came and sat by me right away, so we headed inside. I got each of the boys a treat to work on. Taz was doing pretty good on his, until he heard more popping. He took a break, then started again because Clyde was eyeing up his treat! I could tell Clyde wanted to go for our walk, but I told him we would tomorrow instead.

Mac

Today Mac came wandering up to the gate when I arrived. He started bouncing around as soon as I got in, ready for some fetch! I saw he has a fun swimming pool to cool off in. I got out his rope and we got started right away. He got quite a few throws in. Then, he went and laid in the pool, rope and all! He laid there a bit, then was ready for more. With one swish of his tail he shared his cool water with me! Haha! Luckily, he was kind enough to shake the excess water off away from me. We played for a long time, with Mac taking breaks for a dip in the pool now and again. I made sure he had fresh water in his favorite bowl, then got him his dinner. Before I left I tossed him a treat as well.

Izzy & Toby

Izzy came around the corner this morning, giving me her cute little squeaky meows. She rolled around on my feet while I took care of the fish. Today, Izzy just waited in her room for me to come back from cleaning her boxes. When I came down the hall to see her, she stood in the doorway. She did this adorable hop, standing on her back feet and attempting to rub against the door frame at the same time. It was an excited "Yay, you're back!" We sat in her room and she loved up all the attention. I laid on the floor with her a bit and she came and rubbed her face against mine. She even gave me a few kisses! Then, Izzy was having fun playing with her feather toy. She rolled around with it and held it in her paws, biting at it. She waited in her spot for me, while I went out to see Toby quick.

Jackie & Meeko

This morning was pretty nice out when I came to see Jackie. It's going to be a hot one today. I fed Meeko, who was following me around and meowing for his breakfast. Jackie went out for a quick potty break, then I got hus breakfast ready too. I grabbed out a plastic bag for our walk, then he knew what we were gonna do. He did his usual bouncing around the house, then sat to get his collar on. He got a nice long walk in. This afternoon was hot out. Jackie laid in the grass a bit to soak up some sunshine. I brought out his ice treat and he worked on that in the shade. When he finished that off, he found his outside green snake toy and came prancing over with that. I got it away from him a couple times to throw, so we got a short game of fetch in. This evening Meeko was on the counter and knocking things down all over the place! Silly kitty. I got him his supper and let Jackie out. Jackie and I went for a shorter walk this evening since it was hot and humid out. He didn't care how long of a walk that we took, just that we took one! He got to panting a lot sooner than usual, so I kept it shorter. Once we got back he ate his dinner. Meeko made me laugh since he sprawled out on the table. He was laying on his back and doing a swimming motion with his front paws! Silly cat. We got a short game of tug in with Jackie's black sock toy after that. I gave Jackie his kong filled with snacks to work on for the evening.

Shelby, Baby & the kitties

This morning Shelby wandered outside with Coco. Shim was lounging on a table next to the couch, watching me as I went about. Bitty was relaxing on the bed. I went and fed Baby before heading out with Shelby. She was over by the fence looking down at the grass. Then, she heard a dog bark and went racing to the other side of the yard. Coco was just chillin on the patio, working on her tan. Haha! Later, I went in to fill the water dishes for outside. Both Bitty and Tiny decided they were ready to go out now. This evening I pulled up and saw Bitty sprawled out on the front patio. Then, I saw he had a friend! There was a big grey kitty laying on the other side of the patio with Bitty. He had on a collar and his name was Emmery. I guess he wasn't much of a friend with Bitty, since Bitty got upset any time Emmery moved. Haha! Eventually, the big grey kitty went on his way. I went in and let miss Shelby outside. Coco was ready to come inside by now. Tiny came in as well, but he went back out again soon after. I sat outside with Shelby for awhile. She kept getting excited about the neighbors being out. When we headed inside for the evening, Tiny and Coco decided to hang outside.

Izzy & Toby

Today Izzy did her squeaky meow at me all the way down the hall. She waited by the kitchen for me to come say hi. She followed me around as I fed the fishies and took care of her things. Today I gave her a little brushing. She rolled around to make sure I got her belly and each side. She purred away! We played a little with her toys too. She chased after her mouse toy as I pulled it around for her. Mostly, she was just so happy to be pet and getting attention. Izzy followed me and waited by the door while I said hi to Toby and gave him his snack. She got her treats again before I left.

Flax & Booty

This morning I saw Booty sprinting across the yard to the garage as I pulled up. He went in there and waited for me. The meows started as soon as I opened the door! I got Flax and Booty their breakfast and some fresh water. I could hear Booty in the garage meowing for me when I went inside. Flax was in a deep sleep on his bed on the back porch. I walked over and pet him a bit once he woke up. He was quite comfortable there and he relaxed and looked out into the yard. Booty had followed me and was checking out the inflatable toys. He wanted to come in by me, but he wasn't quite brave enough. For good reason too! Flax saw him and slowly got up and tried to chase after him. Those old legs don't work quite as fast as I'm sure they used to! He gave up pretty quick and laid in the grass. This afternoon I came by to let Flax inside. It was a little toasty out again today. He was laying by the front door, so I had him follow me around back to go in. He plopped right down on his bed and enjoyed the cool air. This evening Flax heard me come in and he got up to go out. Booty was already meowing at me and chasing around after me. Flax did his business, then got right to work on his dinner. I left a trail of treats for him to work on later. Booty didn't want me to leave and followed me all the way to the car! Silly kitty.

Jackie & Meeko

This morning Jackie went out to go potty when I arrived. He came in and waited for me to feed Meeko. Next, I got Jackie ready and we went for our long morning walk, as usual. We had a stray dog following us around for a little while! Jackie really wanted to say hi, but I don't think that's what the other dog had in mind. Luckily, he kept his distance and eventually wandered off. We got to see quite a few people out on our stroll today. When we got home, I fed Jackie his breakfast and gave him time to eat. Once he finished like a good boy, we played a little game of tug. Meeko sat on the table again and kept throwing paws towards him. Maybe he is just jealous! Meeko was enjoying some pets while Jackie was eating, and now Jackie stole me back. Haha! This afternoon was pretty hot out again. I brought out Jackie's last ice treat. I Will have to make him some more. He seemed to like this last one the best! It was pretty big, so I put what he didn't finish back in the freezer for another time. After I put his snack away, Jackie had fun just rolling around in the grass and being silly! This evening it was kind of muggy out and people were already lighting stuff off, so we decided to skip the walk tonight. I let Jackie out to do his thing, then he and Meeko ate dinner. Meeko followed me up the stairs tonight to clean his box. Then, he raced me back down the stairs! Once Jackie licked his bowl clean, we headed outside. Since he was enjoying it so much this afternoon, I brought the remainder of his treat out for him. Every time fireworks popped, he'd stop to look in that direction. He came and sat by me until they finished, then went back to his treat.

Shelby, Baby & the kitties

This morning Shelby was up and ready to go out. Tiny was in the living room under the table, and came out to get pet. All three kitties went out with her this morning. I held the door open as they all went out single file. Baby was all stretched out, lounging in his cage. When I walked in and started to get him some food, then he hopped up and started doing his thing. haha! I went to sit outside with everyone for awhile. Shelby came trotting over for a little attention. Tiny wandered over too, and rubbed across the back of my legs. He enjoyed some chin scratches. Coco wandered off somewhere, and Bitty laid in the grass and kept a close eye on all the birds. This evening Bitty met me out front and came inside. Shelby went out while I fed Baby. I went out with her soon after. She came up for a few pets before doing her rolling around in the grass. I could hear Bitty inside, meowing to come back out. I let him out again and he lounged on the patio. Coco then sat by the door, wanting to go in. Silly kitties! When it was time I made sure all were inside again this evening, due to loud holiday festivities.

Izzy & Toby

Today when I walked in I was greeted by Izzy's squeaky little meow. We talked back and forth. Haha! She followed me around as I took care of the fish, dropping to the floor to roll around anytime I stopped. After I took care of her things, we went to her room to give her some attention. She took breaks from her pet sessions to grab a bite to eat or to play with her toys. We had fun playing with her mouse toy, then I'd set the feather toy on top of her head and she'd roll around and "kill" it! She's so funny. Later I said hi to Mr. Toby, who was super excited for his treat! He kept jumping up and down, making his ears bounce around. When I got in, Izzy was sitting right by the door. She hopped up and turned around to have me follow her. I got her a few treats too.
