Oreo & Stuffs

This evening Oreo heard me coming in and had already started making his way to see me. He was instantly attached to my legs! He followed me into the kitchen and started rolling around on the floor, purring away. He rubbed his face on my legs and knees while I got their dinner ready for them. I knelt down to give him some scratches before I went to clean their box. Next, I walked into the bedroom and checked Stuffs' favorite spots to see where he was at. No sign of him so far, but Oreo was happy to help me look. I checked upstairs, and sure enough, that's where he was! He stared at me a minute, then decided he wasn't quite sure of me yet. He made his way downstairs and under the bed! Maybe on my next visit he will start to get used to me. Oreo and I headed to the living room and sat on the floor for some attention time. He was rolling all over the place and making "kitty biscuits" with his paws. He happily rubbed his face on my hands and knees, since petting him wasn't quite enough! Haha! I got out a couple of his toys and we played with those a bit. He used the ball as a face scratcher too. Oreo thoroughly enhoyed every minute!

Rusty, Ruby & the gang

This morning the pups were ready to head outside. Ruby did her silly bouncing all over the place like a little bunny rabbit! They took their time to do their business and sniff around, then we headed in for breakfast. While they ate, I took care of the turtles and Salem. Rusty was following me around by now, prancing with his red ball! When I finished with my duties, the three of us headed outside again. Miss Ruby sat with me for a long time, enjoying her snuggling time and back scratches. Rusty was busy fetching his ball, so she had me all to herself! HeyDay and Chloe were wandering about the yard, then came up to the fence to say hi to a dog that was passing by them. It was such a nice morning outside! This afternoon Rusty came out with me for another game of fetch. Ruby decided to hang out inside most of the time for this visit. I went and got her once to make sure she went potty. Rusty had a blast rolling around in the grass this afternoon! Ruby joined us again a little later and did some exploring.

ZZ, Bradford, Heighty & the gang

This morning it took the pups a few minutes before they realized I was there. They were off barking at something on the other side of the house. The clanking of the kibbles hitting their dishes sent them running to me though! Everyone got to work on their breakfast. Sugar came to say hi in between bites. Afterwards, Heighty went and brought me a blue ball. She sure was happy to chase after it! I had to laugh as she'd disappear into the tall grass, with only the tip of her tail wagging out the top! Somehow she'd always quickly locate the ball and would bring it back. Bradford was busy getting my attention in between throws. Heighty would occasionally take her ball and roll around with it under the tree. What a goof! The big pups had found shady spots to lay and relax. ZZ was going around, checking to make sure there were no kibbles left behind! This evening Sugar and Bradford were right at the door to greet me, as the others were making their way over. They all got to work on their dinner. I had to spread dishes out a little more, because Bradford thought he got to have two bowls! He and ZZ kept switching as soon as they'd see the other take a nibble. Heighty found her ball for me again tonight. She had some competition this time though! Sugar and Bradford were chasing along with her. She had to hoard her ball so no one could get it. Needless to say, we didn't get quite as many throws in tonight.

Rusty, Ruby & the gang

This morning I only got a couple barks as I walked in the door. I grabbed the leash and took Ruby outside. After she did her business, I let her off the leash and she headed back in. HeyDay was lounging in the grass with Chloe nearby, both watching us. Rusty and I soon followed Ruby and I got them their breakfast. While they ate I got the turtles some fresh food and water, along with Salem. I haven't seen Salem yet, so she must hide when she hears me come in. By the time I finished, the pups wanted to stay in. I sat on the floor in the living room and both dogs came running over. Ruby was quite the bouncy one this morning! She and Rusty started playing and wrestling around. This afternoon Ruby was ready to head outside and even came willingly without the leash! Rusty ran around to find his ball and brought it to me. After Ruby went potty, she sat by me for some back scratches, while Rusty got his game of fetch in. Later, Ruby wandered back in the house, visiting us occasionally when she felt like it. Rusty got tired in our game, so he took to sniffing about the yard. He would get a second wind once in awhile and would get a few more throws in. The other three walked around their yard and got a drink from the pond. Chloe wandered over to watch us now and again. This evening Rusty and Ruby raced me to the back door. Ruby was a bouncy lil girl again! Between her bouncing and Rusty nudging her out of the way when she comes by me for back scratches, she's a hard lady to take a picture of! I walked out and gave Justin, Chloe and HeyDay their snacks. Ruby was sitting on the porch, waiting for me to return. She spent a little time outside with us. Soon, we headed in so they could eat their dinner. Ruby scarfed hers down, then walked by and eyed Rusty's bowl a couple times. Once Rusty finished, we headed out for a long game of fetch. In between catches, he'd take a break to sniff at stuff and roll around in the grass.

Rusty, Ruby & the gang

This evening Rusty and Ruby were giving me some big hello barks when I walked in. Rusty took off down the hallway, but then came close to sniff at me while I let Ruby out. Even though they were barking, tails were still wagging a bit. Ruby was the most concerned. I tried coaxing them out by giving them their dinner. That didn't work, so I tossed a treat that I'd broken into pieces to Ruby to get her to see it was ok. She happily snagged the treats then ran back down the hall. Next, I found Rusty's favorite red ball. That got his attention! He trotted along behind me to go outside. I tossed it for him once, then he was my best friend again! He came running back, heiny a-wiggling happily. He came over for a few scratches, but wasn't ready to give up his ball again. I went out to give Justin, Chloe and Heyday their snack, since they were patiently waiting at the fence. They knew their routine. As they ate, Rusty and I went back inside to see how Ruby was doing. She had eaten her food while we were out, so I sat with Rusty to make sure he'd eat his. After he finished, I called him and he came prancing over for a back scratch. To my surprise, finally Ruby came running once she saw I was ok with Rusty! I got a leash on her and we went outside. After she did her business I set her free and she went zooming back inside. Rusty came out and we started our game of fetch. Ruby surprised me again, and she came out on her own for more back scratches. I guess her curiosity won her over. After I tired Rusty out, we headed inside. I made sure everyone had enough water, we visited a few more minutes, then I put Ruby in her bed.

Michael, Sadie & Sampson

This morning the pups were ready to go outside. Sampson was curled up by the door. Sadie and Michael spent a few minutes outside to do their business, then they lined up at the door, ready for their breakfast! They danced around in the kitchen while I filled their bowls. I gave the bunnies some more water while they were eating. After they ate, we headed back outside for awhile. Sampson was happy to get some more attention. Sadie was curled up next to me, getting pet with my other hand. Soon Sadie wanted to go back inside. We headed in and played inside for a bit. Sadie was being silly and started racing around the house. Then, she was wrestling around with Michael. She curled up in my lap awhile after she got tired out. When it was time, they headed to their beds for a snack.

Michael, Sadie & Sampson

This evening Sadie and Michael had quite the big barks when I came in. I let Michael out of his bed and he ran circles around me while I let Sadie out. Michael went outside right away for me, but Sadie was acting shy and hid in the living room. I've only sat for her once before and she wasn't home the other day, so that was understandable. While Michael was outside with Sampson, I went to get Sadie. I sat on the floor and gave her my soft high pitched talk, then she came running and plopped in my lap! I carried her outside to join the boys. Sampson was loving up my attention, pawing at me if I'd stop petting him. Sadie barely left my side after we got outside. She curled up and got as close to me as she could, wanting some of my attention too! Michael was busy exploring every corner of the yard. Sampson gave me a good chuckle when he started running around and shaking a rug about, which I'm pretty sure came from his bed! When it was time to go in, I got everyone their treats. Sadie went running as fast as she could! Hailey was sitting in the bathroom and gave me a few meows as I walked by.

Taz & Clyde

This morning it was drizzling outside on my way to see the boys. I let them outside when I arrived for a few minutes. As I wiped off their paws, they made me laugh by giving me lots of little kisses. We headed inside for their breakfast. After Clyde finished, I went out back to see what the rain was doing. It had lightened to just a little sprinkle, so the boys and I decided to go for our morning walk. They were so happy! After I got their harnesses on, they both were crying with so much excitement! Since we didn't get a walk in last night, I made sure to take them for a longer one today. We took most of our usual route around the neighborhood, then we went around to see the pond. I let them wander around in the grass a bit before we headed back home. They waited on the front porch patiently, while I dried them off again. After Taz got inside, he went to go finish his breakfast.

Taz & Clyde

This morning the boys were bouncing up and down excitedly when I walked in the door. We headed outside so they could go potty quick. I gave them their breakfast to work on next. Taz decided he was just going to guard his food for now, and maybe eat it later. After Clyde finished, I asked if they wanted to go for their morning walk. It is supposed to be a rainy day today, but luckily it hadn't started yet. I thought we should try to get our walk in while we could. The boys were excited and danced around in the garage while I got them hooked up. We headed on our way and were able to get our full long walk in! When we got back we sat outside for a little bit longer. I had pretty good timing today. Not long after we had gotten back, then the sky opened up and the rain started coming down pretty good. We even saw some hail this morning. I let the boys back inside right away and Taz got to work on his breakfast. Clyde followed me to the door as I was leaving and thought he was going to go for another walk! This afternoon I came and let the boys out back. It was a bit drizzly out, but was nice under the covered patio. I got them each a rawhide to work on while we were outside. Clyde sure knows how to make ya nervous with those things! Eventually they both finished their treats, without issue. We spent our visit in the backyard, since the downpours had been off and on all day so far. Clyde sat near me and enjoyed a back scratch. Taz was happy exploring about the yard and getting excited at any noises he heard. I cleaned up their paws before they came in, then made sure they had plenty of fresh water before I left. This evening I thought we might get a walk in, but the rain started just as I was nearing the house. Taz and Clyde went outside for a potty break. I wiped up their paws, then we headed in for their dinner. Both ate and licked their bowls clean. I knew what they wanted to do next, but unfortunately,  not tonight. Later we went back to sit in the patio area to get least some time outside. When it was time to head in I got them each a bedtime treat.

Taz & Clyde

This morning Taz and Clyde were so much more at ease. Clyde let out one big bark when he heard the door, but then he saw it was just me again. They trotted along with me to the back door to go outside for a minute. They quickly did their thing, then were ready for breakfast! We headed to the laundry room and I filled their dishes with their food. Clyde finished his quickly, but Taz just sort of stared at his. Since he wasn't too interested, I asked if they wanted to go for a walk. Ears perked up and they both ran to the garage, ready to go! We went for a longer walk this morning. It was a little chilly, but the sun was shining and the boys didn't seem to mind. They were very excited to be out on their walk. When we got back home, we went and sat out back for a little bit. Taz wandered around and Clyde hung out by me. I wiped their paws before heading back inside. Taz was finally ready to eat his breakfast. This afternoon I came and let the boys outside. While we were out there, I gave them their dental chews to work on. They both picked a nice spot to curl up and enjoy their rawhides. We spent the rest of the time outside in the backyard since it was so nice out. Taz and Clyde would get excited any time they heard someone walking by. Taz even ran a few laps! This evening the boys got their dinner and I refreshed their water. When they finished, we decided to get another walk in, while it was still nice out. We spent a few more minutes out back once we got home before bedtime.
