Biscuit, Dilly, Jezebel & Roxy

Today I let Dilly, Biscuit and Roxy all outside when I arrived. I kept a close eye on Dilly and had to call her away from the shed a couple times, but she pretty much stayed away. Today she decided to lay by the fence in the grass and soak up some sun. Roxy found her ball and rolled it over to me to throw. She and Biscuit had fun racing each other to go get it. If Biscuit would bring it back, she would bark at me to get it from him. Dilly came and visited with me for awhile too. Soon it was Bert's turn outside. She wandered around, sniffing and checking things out. She did her business, then came to sit by.me for some attention. When it was time I put her in the kitchen with Biscuit, then got everyone a treat!

Miranda

This afternoon Miranda met me at the door and did a big stretch up against the wall. We made our way to the back door and on outside. She ran around in the grass for a little bit. Then, Miranda came to get a back scratch. She turned in half circles for me to get her sides too. When she was ready, we headed back in and got her some fresh water.

Shelby, Boca & Jules

This morning I let the kitties out while Shelby went outside. Jules wandered off to curl up on the bed. Boca snuggled up on the couch for awhile. Shelby came back in and ate some breakfast while I sat with her. She curled up on her pillow for a minute until I called her back out. She sat on her back legs and put her front paws together, waving for me to pet her. She got a chest scratch which she almost fell asleep to. Then, she rolled over onto her back and got a nice long belly rub. Soon it was time for me to round everyone up for bed. This afternoon I let them all out again. It was nice out like yesterday, so Shelby got to spend a little time outside. I went to go pet Boca while Shelby came back in and ate a little more. Later, Boca and Jules were happy sitting in the front window, soaking up some sunlight. Shelby ran and got me her toy for us to play with the rest of the time.

Mac

This morning Mac heard me and met me at the gate. When he saw I was coming in, he raced to his food bowl to eat his breakfast. Afterwards, he quickly located his toy and brought it over, ready to play. It was nice and dewy out this morning again, so he got a soaked belly in no time! Mac was so funny. Once in awhile he would come from behind me and walk through my legs! That made me laugh. I tricked him a few times and threw it the opposite way when he had taken off in another direction. Then he would realize it and zoom all the way across to the other side. He took a few water breaks on his own. And he enjoyed gulping water from the spigot again while I got him a fresh bowl of water. On one of his breaks he would stick his whole mouth in the metal water bowl to get some big drinks. I could tell he was getting tired towards the end of our game. So, I went and got him his cookie to cool down and eat. He tried tossing his bone out behind me again, so I had to throw it one last time and sneak away before he could again!

Mac

This morning I called for Mac as I was coming into the yard. He was a sleepy boy and didn't get up until he saw me! I fed him his breakfast right away. He scarfed that down, then went on the hunt for his toy. I could see it, but he couldn't find it! I went and got it and started throwing it for him. We played fetch the whole rest of the time! He only put his bone down long enough to do his business. I made him walk over to the bowl with me and get a drink once in awhile because he was panting pretty good. The grass was still wet with dew, so water would be shooting up behind him as he raced around the yard! I made Mac drop his toy and sit for me each time before I'd throw it. He was such a good boy! The neighbor dogs came outside at one point but Mac was too focused on his game of fetch to say hi. He came over and took a drink from the spigot as I rinsed my hands off. Then, when it was time to go, he kept dropping the toy over the fence after I would go out. I finally threw it far enough for him and ran to get in my car. That time he decided to keep it. He should sleep good this afternoon!

Shelby, Boca & Jules

This morning I let Shelby and the kitties out and helped Jules down. Boca ran into the living room and curled up on the couch. I let Shelby outside and she came right back to the door when she finished. She snuggled up on the couch with me for a few minutes, then we played with her pink monkey! She let out cute playful "rrr-rrrr"s while we played a little tug. Then, she started zooming around the living room. After Shelby went out once more, I put the kitties and Shelby back in their beds and gave them each a treat. This afternoon I let them all out again. It was so nice out! So, Shelby and I went to play outside for a bit. She had fun racing back and forth along the fence when she heard someone walking by. Eventually we headed in and she worked on her lunch. I sat with her, and when she finished she went to grab her toy for some play time. This evening, Shelby started racing around the room when I got in. Boca, who was sitting on the couch, got up and gave me a meow hello. Miss Jules was napping on the bed, so I went to visit her while Shelby went potty. Shelby got her toy for me right away when she got back in. We played some tug, then she got a game of fetch in. Afterwards, Shelby enjoyed a long belly rub as she lounged on the couch.

Shelby, Boca & Jules

This evening Shelby was just inside the doorway, bouncing away happily when I arrived. She must have been running off of a full tank of energy because she started doing laps around the house like a crazy dog! I opened the backdoor so she could go outside and she zoomed right out. Meanwhile, Boca kept me company while she goofed around outside. She came back in and I gave her a small treat. Then I sat down and she pounced into my lap, nearly knocking me backwards. I couldn't help, but laugh! Then she curled up beside me and fell asleep. All that running is so tiring! All the while, Jules kept to herself in the master bedroom, sleeping on the bed.

Winston

This afternoon Winston started barking as I opened the door. He saw me and quickly scuttled over and started snorting excitedly. After a brief hello, I slipped his collar leash on then we headed out. It was so nice out, so I let him wander around in the grass for awhile. He went potty multiple times, he was such a good puppy! We headed back upstairs so he wouldn't get too dirty from the damp ground. I gave him a treat for being so good. He gobbled it up, then got smothered with hugs and kisses. His little snorts made me laugh so hard!

Daisy & Casper

This morning I got to working on getting the kitties a fresh bowl of food. I saw Daisy was lounging in her bed again. She waited until I left the room to make her way over to the bowl to eat. Next I fed the fish, who were already waiting at the top for some food. I went upstairs and found Casper sitting in a new spot under the bed. He just watched me while I snapped a new picture of him. Then he closed his eyes and went back to his nap. Back downstairs, miss Daisy had moved to her usual spot on top of the dryer.

Izzy, Daisy, Toby & fish

Today Izzy welcomed me in the laundry room. She meowed and trotted along behind me to her room. Today we put the 2nd cd we listened to back in and skipped ahead to songs we hadn't heard yet. She watched me while I cleaned her boxes and refilled her bowls. Izzy rubbed against the walls in the hallways until I came back out from feeding the fish! Next I went to see Daisy and Toby. The were over by the fence again and came running for their treats. I gave them some more water and a few pets before going back in by Izzy. She was quite the playful girl today! We played with her feather ball, then she thought my keys were a fun toy and rolled around with them for a bit. She chased after a few treats that I tossed around for her before I left.
