Miranda poked her head around the corner when I arrived this afternoon. She hopped up and gave me a quick hug and I admired her hair cut. She got all excited and raced me to the backdoor. We went outside and enjoyed the weather. She liked exploring the yard when it was really nice out, so I let her do her thing. Then I gave her a fresh bowl of water before I had to go.
Baby stood in the yard and watched Zeus and Zena run out to greet him. I rounded them up and put them in their side of the yard. It was beautiful out today! Baby sprawled out in the grass and soaked up some sun for awhile, before moving into the shade. Zeus did a lot of exploring. He made me laugh as he chased after a bug, trying to catch it! Zena heard the dog next door playing with a squeaky toy, so that got her excited and she started barking. Then, she snuck out into the other side of the yard. This time I saw that she squeezed through by the corner where the chair is laying. I got her back in by the boys. In no time, she wandered through the fence again like it was no big deal! Silly girl! When it was time, we headed inside.
This afternoon the pups had a beautiful day to play outside! Most of the time Bert, Dilly and Biscuit were busy exploring and sniffing at the grass. Biscuit wandered over by me for some love. He was very snuggly today. Bert was having a blast rolling around in the grass. Then, she went running around like crazy, zooming over to her ball and tossing it around for herself! I went in to let miss Roxy out next. After I closed her door, I realized I was missing somebody. Dilly had snuck into Roxy's room without me even noticing! She came trotting back out when I opened the door. Outside, Roxy didn't see a ball, so she grabbed the next best thing, a rope toy. She would bring that over to me and let out a little "rrrrr" when I'd grab it. It was almost if she wanted to play tug, but she'd let go right away because she wanted to play fetch more! Dilly and Biscuit were off wandering again, while Roxy and I played, until it was time to come in.
This afternoon the pups and I sat outside and sunbathed. It was a little chilly from the wind, but the sun made it bearable. Jimmy kept curling up on my lap and giving me kisses. Sugar sat beside me, waiting for her turn. Buddy wandered around again, messing with the puppy next door. When it was time to go in, they all raced for the door, excited for their treats. This evening we all went outside for awhile. Luckily, it wasn't raining out and was quite warm still when I arrived. All three ran around and had fun in the dark. Jimmy came and sat on my feet for some attention. Later, we headed in to get the boys their meds. Afterwards, they all worked on eating some of their dry food. We went outside once more for a little bit before bed. They were very excited for their bedtime snack.
This afternoon Dilly was bouncing everywhere. As soon as we got outside, Dilly, Biscuit and Bert all went racing off. Just after we got out there, it started raining, so we headed inside. Biscuit and I played some fetch. The other two snuggled up with me for awhile. I let them all go out potty once more before it was Roxy's turn to come out. I brought her outside next and she didn't even care about the rain. All she wanted to do was play fetch! We headed in again and I got some toys for us to play fetch with. Roxy got very excited! However, I soon noticed that she didn't want to run on the slippery floor. She would stop dead in her tracks at the edge of the rug. Later I noticed the rain had stopped. We all went back outside, then Roxy got her game of fetch in.
This morning I walked in to find one of their toys DOA! There was stuffing laying everywhere, all over the laundry room floor. I let the girls outside to go potty while I picked up. When they came in, it was time for breakfast. Sadie just didn't want to eat this morning. I think maybe she was excited because she knew mom would be home soon! Harley was a good girl and ate just about all of her food. So, we took a little break when she started playing instead. Both girls wanted to play fetch this morning. Harley kept me busy doing that and playing tug with her snake toy, while Sadie was racing after her red ball or trying to hide it. The girls ran and bounced around everywhere, having a blast! Later, we took some more time to try and finish breakfast, which they did. I told them that momma misses them so much and that she was going to be home today! I gave them each a hug and got their treats before I left. We had a blast!
This afternoon I let the pups out of each of their kennels. They all raced happily for the door. It was really nice out today, so we spent the whole visit out in the sun. I sat down and Sugar kept me company while the boys wandered. Jimmy eventually came to see me and took a seat on my lap, wanting some attention. Buddy went to say hi to the puppy next door. This evening I let all the pups outside quick before dinner. After they cleaned off each of their plates, we all went outside for a little while. Jimmy came and sat by me while the other two did some exploring. Then, they switched. Sugar and Buddy curled up on their bed by the door while Jimmy disappeared into the darkness. Later we headed inside and Jimmy raced around looking for his favorite Santa Paws toy! He brought it over and we played some fetch before bedtime.
This afternoon Miranda met me at the door, so excited to see me. She galloped to the backdoor and spun in circles until I got there. We headed outside and she quickly went potty. I found one of her toys and threw it for her a few times. I eventually took a seat, and Miranda ran over and sat beside me, wanting her back scratched.
This morning the girls got right to their breakfast after their potty break. They both ate until they were finished. Then, we got to play time! Harley was all about stealing Sadie's toys this morning. She would run up and pull the red ball right out of her mouth! Sadie would then run off and find another toy to have fun with. Harley saw that and decided Sadie's new toy was more fun! Poor girlie kept having to find new toys. Finally, Harley settled for the ball and played some fetch with me. She even would get a little sassy and let out a big "roo-roooo" while she was trying not to let me take the ball! Cute! This evening we played outside for a little bit before dinner. Sadie had to run back to go get a ball to bring out with us. She squeaked on that a little bit when it was dinner time, but then she finally got to eating. Both girls got to eating pretty quickly tonight and finished it all off. Harley stole Sadie's ball again first thing after dinner! Sadie got the other one and took off to bury it in some blankets so Harley wouldn't get it. Then, Sadie played a little fetch with a blue star toy. Harley didn't want that one! Haha!
This afternoon Bert had a new toy that she was prancing around with. She brought it outside with us of course! Dilly was just super excited today, bouncing higher and higher to see me. She hopped up in my lap today and watched the other two wander around the yard. Biscuit sat by us for a bit too, to get his back scratched. Later, all three were chasing each other around, playing tag! First they would race after Dilly, then Biscuit, and kept taking turns. Next it was Roxy's turn outside. She went for the tennis ball right away, as usual! She actually had to race pretty hard with Biscuit today, since they both were trying and wanted to get the ball. Soon, Roxy realized there was another one laying in the yard. She brought that over to have me throw. Then, she would let Biscuit go after the first ball, pretending like she was going to go after it, then would come back and wait for me to throw the next one. Such a smarty pants! She did a lot of running around today, so she should sleep good tonight!
