Miranda

Miranda is always such a cutie. When I first arrived, she yawned and stretched, then raced me to the backdoor. She would jump up excitedly and whine until I finally got to the door. I let her out and she immediately went potty for me. I praised her and she sat by my feet, eating up all the attention. I let her do her own thing this afternoon. She mainly just wanted to sunbathe, and I had no problem with that. It was so nice out, we couldn't complain.

Luke, Maycie, Chuck & Spiketail

This morning Luke and Maycie were very quiet when I got in. I almost thought maybe they were still sleeping! As soon as they saw me, they did their excited little dance at the door. I let them go romp in the backyard while I went in to see Spiketail. She was laying in the corner of the tank in the sand. It looked like she had made a little bed for herself. The sand was pushed into a shallow bowl around her. By the time I had gotten back to the dogs, they had become two very muddy puppies! I dried Maycie off as best I could with her wiggling all over the place. She's so silly! Luke didn't really want me to clean his paws today, so I just let him back inside.

Luke, Maycie, Chuck & Spiketail

This morning it was still quite wet kout from the rain. I let the pups out while I went to turn on the light for Spiketail. She was lounging on her perch, cozied up to her warm heat lamp. It looks as if she had shed a little overnight. Luke and Maycie were busy exploring when I got outside. Luke had found a big log to play with! He kept kicking and pawing it around in the grass. This afternoon I let Luke and Maycie out to play while I went in by Spiketail. I dropped her dinner in her cage and she wasn't in any hurry to eat. Finally she made her way down from her perch and began to snag her food with her quick little tongue. One little guy started climbing on her tail and then clung onto her belly. I got that one off, then she quickly ate it. She got her little bath, then I placed her back on her perch. I put some new Beardie Bites in for her to work on later. Next, I let the puppies in for their lunch. Soon they had licked their bowls clean. They went back outside again for a quick potty break before it was time to go. This evening Luke and Maycie were bouncing at the gate to go outside. I let them out and went to turn out the light for Spiketail. I went back outside with Luke and Maycie. Maycie kept bouncing up into my lap for some attention. Luke was happy playing with his new log toy. He pawed it around, then would carry it to a new spot in the yard and would do the same thing again! Before bed, I got them each a carrot snack.

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

This afternoon all the kiddos went outside for a little bit. They came in shortly after and worked on some lunch. Sugar and Jimmy wanted to go back out and this time Sugar relaxed on her bed a little longer to enjoy the cool air. This evening it didn't take long before Buddy was waiting at the door to come in. He munched on some food while I got their meds ready. Jimmy and Sugar were at the door shortly after as well. After they finished, Jimmy and Sugar took another quick potty break. Jimmy came in, found his toy and we played a game of fetch. Before it was time, I got them all a treat and left them out so they could welcome momma home!

Luke, Maycie, Chuck & Spiketail

This morning I was actually surprised it wasn't raining out yet when I arrived. The forecast had said it was going to rain overnight and throughout today. So, Luke and Maycie got to have some fun this morning. I let them outside quick, then went to wake Spiketail up. I turned on her daytime light and saw that she was comfortably resting on her perch. Outside, Luke started barking right away for a game of fetch. I got his ball out and had him running all over the place. Maycie said hi to me, then she wandered off to explore some more. This afternoon it was pretty well pouring outside. I let Luke and Maycie out to do their business. I went in by Spiketail to feed her lunch. She quickly gobbled up all her crunchy bugs! Then, she looked up at me, "Ok, I'm ready for my shower!". I gently picked her up and she clung onto my fingers. I spritzed her a few times, then placed her back in her bed. I got her some fresh water and some of her yummy Beardie Bites. Chuck got his lunch too. Next, I let the pooches back inside for their lunch. This evening I let Luke and Maycie out potty while I went to turn Spiketail's light off for bedtime. I swept up the laundry room a little, then headed out by the pups. I got Luke's ball for him, which was now thoroughly soaked from the rain. He got a few throws out of it. But then, he shook it around and it pretty much fell to pieces. I let him keep having his fun with half the ball until bedtime. Maycie was roaming around, checking things out as usual. She seemed convinced that something was hiding in the downspout! She had a little fun playing with some leaves on the porch as well. After they got inside for the night I got them each a carrot to snack on.

Jimmy, Sugar, Buddy & Charlie

This afternoon all the babies were bouncing up and down happily in their beds. I let them all go play outside while I checked out the house. Everything was fine. The kiddos didn't stay out real long since it was wet out. They had all huddled together on their bed to wait for me to let them in. This evening Jimmy and Buddy were running around excitedly when I showed up. I didn't see Sugar so I assumed she was off hiding somewhere. I let the boys out for a bit. They didn't take long because it was cold and wet outside. It was time for their meds and Sugar came out for her snack. After that, Sugar wanted to go out, so I let her. She didn't want to come back in for awhile. I opened the door and she was sitting on the little doggie bed and staring at me like "Just a little bit longer." Once she came back in, I sat with the three of them in the kitchen while they took turns eating and coming to give me kisses. At one point, I could have sworn I heard Charlie bark!

Luke, Maycie, Chuck & Spiketail

The pups were excited to get outside when I arrived this evening. I let them go out to do their business, then I went to see Spiketail. She was resting on her branch up by her heat lamp. Back outside, Luke was ready to play some fetch! I found a ball for him and got him racing for it right away. Maycie was bouncing up and down at my feet to say hi. Eventually, she wandered off to do some exploring. I had to really look to see where she was sometimes, since she blends in with the darkness! Luke kept coming by and squishing his ball at me, in sort of a teasing manner. He would put it down and quickly snatch it back up before I could grab it! Once in awhile he would let me, then I could throw it for him.

Harley, Wyatt, Zoey, Tut & Jack

This morning I came in and fed everyone. It was a little chilly out, so Tut stayed in at first. After breakfast, Harley kept warm by fetching me her soccer ball from either end of the yard. Wyatt and Zoey hung out on the patio chairs. Wyatt always makes me laugh when he digs at the cushing to fluff it up for himself! As I was letting the pups back inside, Tut decided to venture out for the morning. This afternoon I was greeted by Tut rolling around in the driveway. I stopped to pet him for a minute before going in to see the pups. It was another nice afternoon for them to play outside! Harley brought me a tennis ball, so we played a little fetch with that. Sometimes Wyatt would steal it, then he'd run off to the corner to try and bury it! Harley knew and would run over by him, so he'd give up and just carry it around everywhere with him. Zoey was content just relaxing in the sunshine. She and Harley wrestled around together later on. Tut appeared while they were doing that, then all three chased after him! He went back into the patio to steer clear. At one point he hopped up on top of the kennel in there, shaking it loudly, which made Harley jump! Tonight Tut meowed at me from under the dining table and followed us all outside. It was still pretty nice out this evening, but you could feel the temperature starting to drop, since some storms may be moving in later. Harley and Wyatt did some chasing around for a bit. Zoey curled up on her chair on the patio. Tut wandered over to me for a little attention until the others got jealous and took over. Harley got her big soccer ball for me later and I kicked that around for her for quite a bit. For the last little bit of time, I sat in the chair and snuggled up with Zoey. Tut decided to stay out this evening, so both kitties are out wandering.

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

This afternoon I let the boys outside and went to look for Sugar again. This time she was balled up in a blanket in the other cage! She rolled over onto her back and did a big stretch. She gave me that same, "Do I have to?" look like she did yesterday! Finally she came out with me and joined the boys, lounging on the side of the house. This evening all three were doing the potty dance for me! They ran to the door and zoomed outside to do their business. Buddy was first in and waited in the kitchen while I got things ready. After everyone finished, they all went back outside some more to enjoy the evening before it gets all rainy tomorrow.

Miranda

Today Miranda met me by the door and did a big stretch quick, before following me to the back door. Outside she sat by me for a little back scratch. Then, she went to do her business. It was nice out, so she curled up in the grass for a few minutes before we headed in. She hopped on the couch while I filled her water dish. Then, she tilted her head back to look at me. So cute!
