Dakota & Benny

I feel like it's been forever since I've seen these two! Benny started running laps around the living room as fast as he could when I got there. I let them out back right away so they could go potty quick. Then, we got ready to take our walk. Kota and Benny were both trying to kiss my face while I got my shoes on! The sidewalks were pretty deep with snow yet, so we kept to the road. Kota was having fun hopping into and walking on the snow piles. We didn't take quite as long a walk as usual, but we did get pretty far! We had to slow down every once in awhile so Benny could take his time getting over the snow. Poor guy! He was getting chilly after awhile so we headed back home. I let Kota bounce around out in the backyard awhile longer. She came in and had a few bites to eat before I left.

Air drying my tummy!

Wendy, Sassy, Twinkie & Bonkers

This morning Wendy and Bonkers were the first to greet me. As soon as Sassy heard me talking to them, she came down from her comfy spot on the bed to say hi too. I noticed a little lump still on the bed. Twinkie was all the way at the foot of the bed under the covers! Everyone was ready for their cookies and breakfast, and patiently waited. Bonkers sat up against the cupboard and meowed at me while I got it ready. Sassy hopped up by the sink and waited at her feeding spot. After breakfast, Twinkie went to sit in the back room window and Wendy sat and looked out the front windows. I spent a little time with each this morning. Wendy and I played around and she gently swatted at my fingers! Tonight Bonkers had the bed to himself! Sassy was sitting under the bed and came running to see me. Wendy came around the corner in the kitchen. I gave Bonkers some more food to work on while I took care of my duties. Later I went to find Twinkie, who was lounging in her perch on the window sill. Sassy and Wendy were following me around, so they each got their turn to be pet! After Bonkers had finished his food, I sat with him for awhile too. I gave everyone one last scratch goodnight, turned on their night lights and closed the laundry room door half way on my way out.

Crash & Genny

Two happy puppies met me at the door when I came in tonight! Crash started bouncing around, ready to go outside. Genny was circling around me, carrying her little frog toy! After I got her to leave her toy inside, I let them go potty quick. Both quickly did their business and came right back to the door. Crash came in first and got his toes dried off. While I was drying off Genny, he was giving me kisses! We chased each other around the house for a few minutes before settling down. I sat on the floor with them. Genny walked over and gave me her heiny to scratch. Then she almost sat right in my lap! Crash curled up on his bed next to me and they both got pet for quite awhile. They got excited when I gave them a couple treats! After awhile I let them go play outside for a bit. Crash started running and bouncing around the yard. When it was time to come back in, they got a bedtime snack before I left.

Wendy, Sassy, Twinkie & Bonkers

Wendy was sitting just outside the laundry room when I came in tonight. She let out a little meow and instantly was rubbing up against my legs! Bonkers was curled up and relaxing under a table in the living room. He hopped up and made his way to the kitchen for his snack. I filled their water bowl with ice cubes, then went looking for the other two kitties. Wendy helped me! She followed me around, rubbing up against my legs and purring away. I couldn't find the other two, so I cleaned the litter boxes and closed the blinds. Then I gave Wendy and Bonkers their cookies before I went looking again. I finally decided to check the bedroom with the closed door. I looked through twice and then found Twinkie just sitting in the window! I got her out and searched for Sassy. Twinkie went into the master bathroom and sat behind the plant on the tub. I gave her her cookies and suddenly heard a tiny meow! I opened another door and Sassy came running out! She was sure craving attention. I pet her as she purred away. She got her cookies too. Later I turned on the kitchen cupboard lights and closed the laundry room door half way before I left.

Dakota & Benny

Yesterday the pups were ready to go for their walk! Kota was just singing away. After I got them hooked up we got on our way. We saw a little dachshund outside, who decided to follow us for awhile. Luckily he kept his distance, and eventually turned and headed back home! Kota and Benny were busy sniffing around as we went. We passed another house where Benny's friends were in the garage instead of outside like they usually are. They started howling and singing to him! After we got back home, Kota had a little lunch while I refilled their water bowls.

Tyler, Emma, Lacey & Luke

Today Tyler and Emma went out in the fenced area while I took Lacey out the back. Emma had found a nice spot in the grass to lay in the warm sun. Tyler was busy prancing around with his toy! Lacey came back in with me and helped me get their lunch ready. After everyone ate I let the big kids go back outside to spend some time since it was so nice out! Lacey curled up next to me on the floor to get her belly rubbed. Eventually she warmed up enough to make herself comfy in my lap! Whenever I'd stop petting her she'd lay back against me and lay her head back to look up at me. She's such a cutie!

Tyler, Emma, Lacey & Luke

Today Lacey announced my arrival to the others. I had Tyler and Emma go outside while I took Lacey out the back. They were excited to come in and get their lunch! Afterwards we snuggled up in the living room. Lacey carefully made her way in between the legs of the other two as they were hopping around and burying their heads next to me. Tyler flopped down in my lap and Emma kept rolling over next to me for her tummy rubs. Lacey wanted hers too! Tyler and Emma played outside since it was so nice out. They seemed to be having fun watching the horses next door!

Baxter

This morning Baxter stayed in his bed for awhile. I went to go see him and he just wagged his little heiny at me! Later he came out to get his back scratched for awhile. I sat with him in the kitchen while he ate some of his breakfast. After he finished, he got pet some more. He followed me into the kitchen to fill his bowls and get his morning snack. I gave him a couple extra this morning, just cause! This afternoon Baxter waited for me to come get him again. Silly boy! We went in the living room for his usual back scratching. Then, we played with his toy a bit. He had to take a break to watch some kids playing outside through the window. I kept him company as he finished his dinner. We played fetch with his squeaky a few more times before I got him his treat. I said goodbye and told him his momma will be home soon!

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

This afternoon the kiddos were ready to get outside. The boys went out right away, while Sugar made a run for her spot under the bed. I tried to coax her out with a treat since it was so nice out! She didn't want to, so I went out with the boys for a bit. Jimmy was sitting sunning himself already, while Buddy was busy searching for critters! Eventually Sugar came out with us and she went to curl up in the nice warm sun too. Since she came out, they got to spend the afternoon outside!

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

I let the pups outside potty before dinner. Buddy decided to be a stubborn little boy today! He wouldn't even touch his food for me. So I spent most of our visit trying to get him to eat his pills in different things. He could find them in everything! Little booger. Finally we got them all down! Jimmy ate his for me no problem. I was going to change Charlie's water and the bowl slipped out of my fingers and to the bottom of his cage. It took a little distraction before I could get it out! I let everyone back outside once more and gave them a bedtime treat.
