Sasha

Sasha was again perched on the white, leather chair when I arrived this morning. She stretched and jumped down to greet me! I gave her some love and attention and then we both went into the kitchen to prepare breakfast! First I added some kibble to the bowl, then placed a new plate of wet food! She was nibbling on that, when I put the plastic lid with the yummy yogurt mix down! Sasha stopped and went straight for the yogurt! She was so happy, you could hear her purring! I snapped a cute picture of her as she was enjoying her morning treat! After breakfast, we sat on the couch together. I softly petted Shelby, as we enjoyed the peaceful morning!

Auggie and Pattie

As I came through the front door, I found Pattie lounging in the living room! However, she didn't stay there for long! As soon as she saw who I was, she sprinted up the stairs! I went looking for Auggie and was surprised when I didn't find him in his usual spot on the chair in the bedroom. I filled the kibble bowls, refreshed their water bowl and put out two wet food bowls. Then it was time to clean the litter boxes and that's when I found Auggie. He was sunning himself on the couch upstairs! He gave me a friendly, "meow" as I came over to give him some attention. As I came around the couch, Pattie snuck around the other side and back downstairs! I thanked both Auggie and Pattie for a fun time!

Shelby, Bitty, Spirit and Baby

Shelby's little black nose snuck through as I opened the door this morning! She did her little prancy-dance and happy bark while we made our way to the back door! The orange kitty outside greeted us as we came out to turn on the sprinklers! Shelby ran around the back yard and the cat ran after her! I went back in to say good morning to my other furry friends! Baby was sitting in the sun and got up on his hind legs to say hello! I opened up the gate and scratched his soft, furry head. I love watching his little nose move up and down; he's so cute! Spirit came in to the room and meowed, as if to say "I'm hungry". I checked on the cat food and shook the food dish to get more kibble down into the bowl; that made Spirit happy! On my way out, I stopped to say hello to Bitty, who was perched on the chair in the kitchen!

Lucy & Shadow

Today I could hear Lucy talking to me as she made her way to come see me. She was just purring away! I pet her for a little while and noticed that Shadow hadn't popped out yet. So, Lucy helped me look for him. We found him curled up by the window sill in the guest room. Lucy hopped up there too and started rubbing her face on the corner. Shadow must have been pretty comfortable, because he hung out in there the rest of the time. Lucy followed me to watch as I cleaned their litter box. Then she and I played some more with their rope toy. She would jump up on her hind legs to grab it, then started rolling around kicking her legs about. She gave me a few "meow meow"s as I was leaving.

Dakota & Benny

Today Benny ran circles around me and across my feet. I guess someone was excited to get going! We got on our way and took a long walk since it was cooler out. Kota and Benny had some fun today with a little three-legged grasshopper. Kota would hop along behind it, then nudge it with her nose. Benny sniffed at it a little too, but soon lost interest. He was more concerned with the halloween decorations flapping in the wind. We felt little sprinkles every now and again, but the rain held off, for the most part. Just before we turned the last little corner towards home, it started to rain, then dounpour! We high-tailed it the rest of the way back home. The neighbor kids accidently threw their baseballs over the fence, so I looked around for those while Kota and Benny relaxed.

Shelby, Bitty, Spirit and Baby

When I arrived, Spirit looked so content as he was perched on the couch. It was almost as if he was posing for me, so I just had to take a picture! Spirit is becoming quite the camera hog! Bitty came around the corner and jumped up on his spot on the end of the couch! I can just imagine both of them sitting in the room, each on a couch, talking about how silly us humans are! Shelby was excited to come in tonight; she ran around the couch and gave her little happy bark! Baby was sleeping when I came in tonight. I sat and talked to him and pet behind his little ears. He closed his eyes as I scratched him. Before I left, I topped the food and water dishes off and said good night!

Sasha

I found Sasha sitting in the leather chair when I arrived this evening. She greeted me with a few, gentle "meows" and hopped off the chair to say hello! We then sat on the floor together and she purred as I softly petted her. She then decided that it was time to go and get a drink and eat a little bit of dinner! She then hopped up and took her spot on her pretty, pink blanket. So, we sat on the couch together until it was time for me to go! I topped off her water dish and gave her a goodbye scratch on the head! See you tomorrow, Sasha!

Auggie and Pattie

As I came in the house this morning, I could hear the bell on Pattie, but today it seemed closer. I greeted each cat and saw that Pattie was peeping at me on the stairway. I walked over and she stayed! I was able to put my hand out and she smelled it a few times! She stayed until she heard the sound of the camera; she hissed and ran upstairs! It was great progress! I found Auggie lounging in his spot on the back of the chair in the bedroom! I stayed awhile and scratched his neck while he purred loudly. Before I left, I filled the kibble dishes, scooped out the litter boxes and put the trash out. See you both tomorrow!

Shelby, Bitty, Spirit and Baby

Faithful Shelby greeted me at the door with a wagging tail! She is such a sweetheart! Bitty came around the corner to say good morning and rubbed up against the wall. Spirit was still napping in the living room and did lift his head to say hello! Shelby and I went outside and ran around in the sun and wet grass! She made her usual lap around the edge of the fence, while the little, orange kitty followed her! The three of us sat outside in the dry porch and enjoyed the cool morning air. After I turned the sprinklers off, I went back inside to say good morning to Baby! He was hoping around and as soon as he heard me, he stood still and looked up at me! I freshened up his food dish and gave him some hay, which made him very happy! He and hopped around his cage, kicking up his bedding, while making little noises!

Benny

Today Benny and I took a nice long walk. It was quiet out without Kota! Benny still had his usual fun though. He was busy saying hi to friends and growling at people's Halloween decorations. On our walk Benny noticed a black kitty sitting in the shade under a tree. He tried to go get him, but the kitty knew Benny couldn't get too far and just sat and stared at us. Benny was pretty tired by the time we got home and sprawled out on the kitchen floor to cool off.
