Dakota & Benny

We took a nice little walk this afternoon. Benny was busy growling at inanimate objects again, haha! Kota stopped under a tree and started playing in the fallen leaves. She spun around in circles and started kicking them around! Then she picked up a couple and tossed them in the air to herself. Once we got back home they got a drink before we went to play outside. Benny was trying to see the neighbor dogs through the fence. He even tried sticking his nose under it! Kota was ready to head back inside shortly after; too hot!

Chico, Chi-Chi and Cali

This morning Chi-Chi did a big stretch when we got outside. Chico immediately took off, chasing after a bird! Then he was running laps around the backyard for awhile. When we went in Chico ran around and hopped into the chair. Chi-Chi went straight to the food bowl for some breakfast. When she took a drink of water, the jug bubbled and it scared her! After that she very cautiously would stretch herself to get her nose just to the bowl without getting too close. She'd take a lick, then would hop back. Chico and Cali were messing around with each other again this morning. They chased and snuck up on each other multiple times. While they were goofing around, Chi-Chi snuggled up with me. Later I noticed Chico was going down the hallway a few times, so I followed him once to see what he was up to. He had hopped over the baby gate after Cali and was crunching away on her food! I called him and he bounced back over with no trouble at all, naughty little boy! We went outside one more time this morning and Chico started running around the yard as fast as his little legs could carry him!

Chico, Chi-Chi and Cali

This morning the pups were ready to get outside. We all went out and played in the backyard for awhile since it was nice out. Chico and Chi-Chi were having fun messing around with each other. Chico was busy exploring all over too, while Chi-Chi hung out by me. When we went in I said hi to Cali who was at the table, talking to me. Chi-Chi had some breakfast right away when she came in. Chico was full of energy! He got down on his front legs and was hopping towards Cali, who was not too excited. However, after Chico left her alone and was minding his own business, she sneak-attacked him from behind the chair! Those two kept sneaking up on each other for awhile. Hilarious! Chi-Chi came over by me and was walking back and forth under my legs, itching her back. Then she hopped up in the chair with me. Chico took a break from playing to hop in my lap and give me kisses all over my face! I let them go back outside again for a little bit, since Chi-Chi needed to finish her business. She did right away, then those two chased around before we headed back inside. Tonight when I let Chico and Chi-Chi outside, they both disappeared into the darkness! Chi-Chi came back to my side as usual, but I could hear little Chico running all over the place. We went in and Chico was in his playful mood again. I called him and he came hopping from down the hallway, then squatted down on his front legs. I put my hands down on the floor to imitate him and he got so excited! He hopped from side to side, then ran up and kissed my face. Cali stayed curled up on a chair or up on the shelf tonight. Chi-Chi was busy itching herself on my legs. She curled up in the chair behind me again, so I gave her a good backscratch. I got her little leg going! I let them both out to go potty again before bedtime.

Maggie & Moe

I let the girls out potty right away when I got there today. It sure was hot out, so Miss Moe was ready to head back inside shortly after. Maggie had brought out a rawhide and was busy trying to find a good hiding spot for it! When we went in, Moe nibbled on her food for some lunch. Maggie laid down next to me to gnaw on her rawhide. The girls took turns taking it away from each other! Eventually Moe gave up and went digging in her toy box for a different one. She brought out a really big one, so Maggie thought she wanted that one instead! She got it away from Moe, so Moe went to take Maggie's. But then Maggie changed her mind and decided to go back to her original one. Maggie kept going into the bedroom to chew on her bone, but then she'd hear Moe and I having fun so she'd come running back out! Silly girl!

Chico, Chi-Chi and Cali

Tonight Chico and Chi-Chi were both barking when I walked in the door. They both went outside for me with no problems! I went out with them and they both peed quickly, then jumped up and down to say hi. They're my little buddies already for sure! Cali was sitting in the house, looking out the backdoor at us. After a little bit Chi-Chi finished her business, so then we went back inside. Cali hopped up next to the kitchen counter, so I pet her for a little bit. I sat in the chair and Chico was busy hopping up and getting attention from me. Meanwhile, Chi-Chi was carrying mouthfuls of food into the living room to nibble on. Once Chi-Chi was finished, Chico had his supper. I think Chi-Chi claimed me as her own! She got upset at Chico once when he came by me. Then another time, she was hiding under my legs and raised her lip at him! She hopped up into the chair and curled up in the small space behind my back. Chico finished eating and when I called him he came bouncing over to me for more attention. They both were very good tonight. Once it was time to go I gave them their treat and put them to bed for the night.

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

The kiddos are all doing well tonight! No one was acting lethargic at all, they were all their usual happy selves. I let the boys out and followed them both around. Of course neither went poo for me so I'm not sure who it was. Sugar did though and she had normal stool, so she's fine. They all came in and had some supper while I gave the boys their meds. Sugar was acting all spunky tonight! She crouched down on her front paws, then did little froggy hops until she reached me! Jimmy had some fun outside. He found something hiding under the downspout on the side of the house - I think it was a toad. He was barking and trying to dig it out! Buddy came over to help, but Jimmy told him in a low voice, "I got this, he's mine!". haha!

Tyler, Emma, Lacey & Luke

Today was like deja-vu from the last time I saw them! I let the dogs out and Tyler grabbed his ball again and Emma went and laid in the exact same spot as last time. Luke was sitting, peering into the back door again except after I had already let Lacey out. Lacey sat on the patio and soaked up a little sun before going potty. I got all of their lunched ready while Tyler and Emma were outside. After they ate, Emma, Tyler and I sat in the living room. Lacey was acting a little shy today, a lot more than usual, but I think it was because of all the noise from the machinery and construction going on outside the front of the house. I went to check on her and she was all curled up by the clothes on the bed. Tyler, Emma and Luke all snuggled up to me to get their attention.

Dakota & Benny

Today I took Kota and Benny for a shorter walk since it was very hot out again. When we got back home they got to play out in the backyard for awhile after they got a drink of water. Benny was running around looking for some of his toys and Kota was busy chasing after a grasshopper! Eventually they sat over in the shade and enjoyed the slight breeze. We all came back inside and they cooled off again. Benny got a nice backscratch while he laid next to me. Kota decided she wanted one too, so she came and sat with her back facing me!

Caleb & Kitty

I let Caleb out of his kennel when I got there, and he ran and grabbed a green kitty toy. He had little green feathers floating around outside of his mouth! He went out and went potty for me. When he came in, he ran straight for the bedroom. He was standing over kitty, who was rolled over onto his back. Caleb was just staring at him, then kitty started squirming around and batting at Caleb's nose! Caleb put his nose over kitty's tummy and he wrapped his legs around Caleb's nose and held on. Kitty made a dash for the nightstand, with Caleb close behind. Kitty rolled over onto his back and would stick his head out and swat at Caleb some more before he went under the bed. He was having a blast under there, wrapping himself up in the cords laying beneath the bed. Caleb hopped up onto the bed and was jumping like it was a trampoline! He hopped up, then bounced once real high, then hopped down onto the other side. He kept doing this, going from side to side. He was sure getting his exercise for the day. Eventually kitty started following him underneath the bed and would shoot out and tap him on the nose! They are hilarious together! I got Caleb to come take a short walk with me, to give kitty a little break.

Dakota & Benny

Today Kota, Benny and I went for a really long walk since it was nice and cool out! As we were walking, Kota and Benny were watching some kids riding around on their bikes. The kids saw us and said, "Oh look its a husky and a little puppy dog!". We walked under a tree that had dropped a lot of leaves on the sidewalk. Benny's leash started to drag a couple leaves along with us and the sound made Benny jump up a foot in the air! When we got home Kota had worked up an appetite and was just staring up at her bowl. So I let her have some lunch while Benny was busy resting and getting his back scratched!
