Lucy & Shadow

Lucy was sitting by the front door again when I came in today. I didn't see Shadow for awhile, so I called him then gave Lucy some attention. She was very lovey today! She wasn't even interested in the front door at first, and just wanted me to pet her. Eventually Shadow came out to see me, so I got his rope toy out and we started playing! He was so full of energy today. He would pounce on the rope and bite it for a second, pause, then zoom off into another room! A minute later he'd race around the corner and pounce on it again! Lucy just watched him goof around, she wasn't too interested in playing. He hid behind the chair and peeked around it before attacking the rope. He'd stick his little paws underneath to try and grab it, then all of a sudden he'd sneak attack, then run back into his hiding spot. A little bird flew by and sat on one of the pots outside the door. That sure got Lucy's attention! She crouched down at the door and started to sing at it.

Sadie, Chloe & Patches

This morning Sadie was up and ready to go outside! I let her out right away, but she wanted me to come out with her too. I grabbed her food and a ball and came out so she'd go potty. Once I did, she ran all around the yard again. I tossed the ball for her and she ran as fast as she could to get to it, but then just left it there again! Too many other things to check out I guess. We went back inside for a bit so I could take care of the kitties. Chloe was waiting at her bowl for breakfast. She came and sat by us after, and rolled around. I rolled Sadie's ball in the house a little bit and this time she'd bring it back to me! I let her spend the day outside today. Tonight Sadie was hiding around the side of the house and came running as soon as she heard me. I came early, but the neighbor's had started lighting some fireworks off as I came to see her. She ate her supper right away, then curled up next to the couch. Patches came out to see me tonight and wanted some attention! Sadie got jealous and came over too, so Patches went back into the bedroom. Sadie and I snuggled for awhile. Her eyes would get big once in awhile when she would hear the tiniest hint of a pop. I had turned the music on for her, so that helped her calm down. She got a big treat before bedtime and was happy to curl up in her safe bed for the night.

Jerrie

Jerrie was sleeping in the same spot again this morning when I came to see him. After taking care of the things that needed to be done, I grabbed the brush and walked in the room by him. As soon as he saw me coming, he made his way down the cat tree. He hopped up into the window sill and looked outside for a little bit. I sat by him then he jumped up on the couch behind me. He rubbed his head on the back of mine and purred away. I called him to come back down, where he laid the rest of the time that he got brushed and pet!

Lucy & Shadow

This morning Lucy was already at the door when I came in. Shortly afterwards, Shadow appeared around the corner and was curiously sniffing at the air. Lucy came right up to me and I pet her for awhile until Shadow made his way over too. I left the front door open for Lucy so she could sit and look outside while I was there. I got Shadow playing with his rope toy right away. He would pounce, twist and jump to catch it! Lucy was rolling around on the rug by the door and watching bugs and birds outside. When Shadow started to get bored with the rope, I got Lucy to play with it. She was just as excited as Shadow was! She could catch it in the air everytime. Shadow had gone to sit in the kitchen under the table. And when he heard Lucy and I playing, he slowly made his way to the corner and peeked around it to see what was going on. Lucy was talking to me while I tried to get her away from the door when I was leaving. Once I shut the door, she moved into the window and watched me go.

Sadie, Chloe & Patches

This morning Sadie was a sleepy girl and she slowly made her way down the hallway and did a big stretch! We went outside right away, but she wanted back in. I grabbed on of her toys from inside and tried to get her to play fetch with me. She would run to get it, grab it... then put it back down and ran off somewhere else! After a few times she zoomed all over the backyard. She stopped to do her business then came back to the door. I let her stay in today since they were forecasting storms and rain all day. We went inside and spent some time together. I put some food in the bowl on the table for Patches, and she hopped up right away to eat. She let me pet her for awhile too. Chloe was already waiting at the big bowl when it dispensed her food. She knew what time it was! Tonight I came to let Sadie out to go potty again. It was raining and she didn't want to go, so I went out with her. She finally ran under the trampoline quick and did her business! Then she ran a big circle around the yard, then came back to the door and started bouncing up and down. We went back inside and after she finished her supper she got her tummy rub! While Sadie was eating I went to go pet Chloe for awhile. Chloe followed me out of the room and rolled around by my shoes again! Silly kitty! Sadie gave me lots of kisses again tonight. We heard a pop from a firework in the house and her eyes got real big, but she did ok with me there. I turned on the music again for her tonight and she almost went to sleep while I pet her!

Jerrie

This morning I watered all the plants quick before heading inside to see Jerrie. He was sleeping on the top of his tree again. He had knocked down some coasters off the desk since last time I saw him! He jumped down immediately and started to meow at me. He was very talkative today! I got the brush out again and started going over his back. He would turn his head almost in an upside down position as if to say, "Get my chin right here too!". He rolled around to get his tummy brushed too.

Sadie, Chloe & Patches

I went out to see Sadie right away tonight. She was so excited to see me! She was ready to go inside right away too. People nearby were lighting off something that made a popping sound that she didn't like. Once inside she started zooming around the living room, hopped in her bed, then ran over to me and went around again. Chloe was sitting on the bed meowing at me and Patches was curled up on top of the recliner. I gave Sadie a treat and she curled up in her bed to eat it. While she was crunching on that, I gave Chloe some attention. She hopped down and followed me into the living room. Sadie had since come back to jump all over me, roll around and give me tons of kisses! She loved up every second of her tummy rubs! Chloe kept her distance with all the excitement, but decided to play with my shoes instead. Tonight is the Owasso fireworks show, so I turned on the tv and played some classical music for Sadie to help drown out the loud booms.

Dakota & Benny

Little Benny was sure full of excitement today! It looks like he got a nice bath recently, he was so clean and fluffy. He kept jumping up while I was getting their leashes out, and stood his front legs on my arm when I was hooking Kota up. "Can we go yet??" We took a nice long walk today. Benny attempted to chase after a few cars that passed by again. They both stopped to smell a couple spots that they just couldn't get away from! Benny had a big sneeze from smelling the grass. When we got home we played in the backyard for a little while. Kota wanted to go back inside shortly after, but Benny was ready to play! I played fetch with him until he was getting hot, then we went in the cool house. 

Jerrie

This morning I found Jerrie sleeping on the top of his kitty tree. I said hi to him before taking care of the things that needed to be done. He didn't seem to mind, he was pretty sleepy! By the time I was done he had woken up a little more and hopped down to see me. I saw the brush sitting out on the counter, so I gave him a nice brushing. His little motor was running in no time at all! After walking around me several times, rubbing up against my back, he decided to lay down next to me. He almost went to sleep again while I pet him with one hand and brushed him with the other!

Maggie & Moe

When I got in tonight both of the girls were going crazy, they were sooo excited to see me. They came running right up and were jumping all over the place. I made my way to the back door to let them out right away so they wouldn't have any accidents with all the excitment. They both went running out right away but pretty soon after going out Moe wanted to go back in for some reason. She wouldn't go back out in the yard for me, just sat by the back door and once in a while pawed at it. So we all went back in and played around for a while. I sat on the ground and got sooo many kisses from Maggie. Moe was still getting some attention from me and coming up here and there but seemed upset, then I started hearing the fireworks. I wonder if she gets upset by them and maybe that's why she didn't want to go in the back yard. I let them out for a little bit before leaving to see if they would go potty for me but Miss Moe was not liking that at all. I also noticed that they both had a little bit of the rash on their undersides going on again.
