Caleb

This morning I fed Caleb his breakfast right after he went out potty. As soon as he was finished, we went for a nice long walk throughout the neighborhood. It was very nice out and not too hot yet, as the sun was still rising. Caleb stopped every now and again to smell something. He walked just excellent for me! When we got back home, we played fetch a little bit with his green squeaker. He got brushed outside for a little while this morning too! He sure liked that and sat so nicely for me. I uncovered his kennel before I left so he could watch out the window. This afternoon it was super hot out! I let him go outside in the backyard to do his business. He brought out his orange puzzle toy, but he sure didn't want to stay out very long! I got him some more fresh water when we came in and gave him a couple ice cubes to cool down. We chased around the house and played tug of war with his squeaker toy for a long time. He's so smart! He knows that if he walks around behind me in the opposite direction that my arm can bend, I let go! haha! I grabbed a couple of his puzzle toys and put treats in them for him to play with too. When he got tired, he rolled over by me to get his tummy rubbed.

Toby, Tyson & Morgan

Toby heard me walking up to the door today and barked until he heard my voice. Then he was happy to see me and jumped up to say hi! He was missing mom and dad this afternoon... he kept crying. I let him outside but he wasn't interested, so we went back in. I looked around for Morgan and Tyson, and found Morgan sleeping in the recliner in the kitty room. He started to meow and came out right away. We went back in the living room and Tyson was sitting there, waiting! After I said hi to him, he hopped up on the counter by his food and made himself comfortable. Toby and I chased each other around for awhile. He can run so fast! After that he was ready to play outside, so we hung out there until he got too warm. Inside he snuggled up with me on the couch while he kept watching the door and listening. There were shadows coming in from the window above the door onto the ceiling and he got excited everytime he saw one move! Morgan was a little cranky this afternoon and was hissing at Tyson and Toby when they'd get in his space! Tonight Toby and I went for a nice long walk after the sun had gone down. It was a beautiful night with a nice breeze. Toby stopped every now and then to check something out. When we got back the kitties were waiting for us. Morgan and Tyson were both wanting their attention too! Toby went out in the backyard to play for awhile.

Dakota & Benny

Kota and Benny both had a little energy this afternoon! As soon as Kota was out of her cage, she was leaping from chair to chair in the living room while Benny was running his laps. I let them go potty quick out back before we took a nice walk to wear them out a little! Benny made sure Kota was galloping along as we got started with Benny along side her doing the same and barking. When we got back they both laid down on the cool floor by me to cool off. I tossed Benny's ball for him a few times and they both got their back scratched!

Caleb

Today I came in and Caleb sat straight up and watched me. I let him out and we went outside for a little bit. He grabbed a blue squeaky toy to bring with him! I tossed it for him a couple times out there, then he wanted back in. He didn't try to eat anything while I was there today! I grabbed out his orange puzzle toy and put some more treats in there. He played with that for a little bit, then we found a green squeaker to have fun with! I threw that around and he played "keep-away" from me with it. Sometimes he'd let me grab ahold of it, so that we could play tug-of-war. He really does slide right into the wall! He got going to quick on that tile floor once and just couldn't stop himself in time... oops! He would lay down and set the toy down to take a breather, but he kept his tongue on it the whole time, just in case! I got him pretty tired out this afternoon. He came and laid by me and put his head on my lap while I gave him a good tummy rub. One time, he even flopped his whole body across my lap! He's so funny!

Cali & Miss Ella

Miss Ella was waiting for me again today. She walked ahead of me to the different rooms as I went to clean the litter boxes. She and I sat outside on the patio for a little while. Cali didn't want to come out with us today. She was too comfortable on her chair in the office! Miss Ella and I came in and spent some time in by Cali. She made her way out to the living room and sat on a speaker to watch as I played with Miss Ella! I was petting her for awhile and she suddenly got playful. She swatted at my fingers and rolled around all over the place.

Kira, Bunky & Lisa Lee

Bunky was laying behind the couch towards the front door today. I found Kira and Lisa Lee both curled up on the bed while I was cleaning the litter box. I gave them their yummy treat food today! Lisa Lee was first to come running while I was getting it ready. She meowed in her tiny little voice at me the whole time! The other two soon came into the kitchen to eat their share. When Bunky was finished she went and laid in the middle of the living room. Kira came to me to get her brushing for the day. Lisa Lee came wandering over a couple times, and even hopped up in the chair with me. She started to purr and curled up in my lap for awhile.

Dakota & Benny

Benny was zooming around the living room as usual today! We took a nice walk this afternoon. Even though it was pretty hot out, they didn't seem to mind. They were too excited! It was pretty quiet out today. They stopped to sniff around a lot but there weren't too many dogs out to chase along fences with. There was a jogger and a few other people washing cars or mowing lawns that Benny had to bark at instead! Once we got home they were pretty tired. Benny was so pooped that he laid right on the entryway tile tfloor as soon as he got inside. She was stopping to squat a lot on the walk today, but I'm not sure what she was trying to do. So, I let Kota go out back for a few minutes to finish her business.

Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

Jimmy was sure happy to see me today! He was bouncing up and down all the way to the back door. Buddy said hi to, but he was more interested in getting outside to do his searching! I let the boys go play outside while I looked for Sugar. I couldn't find her anywhere! I looked in every open room multiple times, while calling for her. I got out some treats and usually she comes running, or at least starts barking. But I didn't see or hear her. I went out by the boys for a little bit, thinking maybe she'd come when she felt like it. Jimmy laid down in the grass to soak up some sun. Buddy was exploring. Suddenly, Jimmy jumped about a foot in the air! Then he went to go sniff at whatever startled him. I looked and it was a big nightcrawler! The boys came in with me and helped me look all over for Miss Sugar again after I gave Buddy his eye medicine. I was just about to give up when she stuck her little nose out from underneath the pillows on the bed! Little stinker!

Cali & Miss Ella

Miss Ella met me at the door today and trotted along with me everywhere I went! I said hi to her for a few minutes, then took care of their litter pans. Ella helped me look for Cali, since she hadn't come out to see me yet. We found Cali sitting in the office, curled up on the chair. Miss Ella and I decided to go sit out on the patio for a bit. Cali later came and peeked through the window at us, but wasn't quite ready to come out. I opened the door for her again later and then she decided she was ready! Cali rolled around on the ground while Miss Ella curled up in the sunlight. They both perked up and swung their heads around when they heard a bird singing nearby!

Kira, Lisa Lee, Bunky

Kira and Bunky were sitting in the living room when I came in today. Lisa Lee came out to say hi shortly after. When I finished taking care of their things, I sat in the chair and got the brushes out. Kira was loving up every second! She licked at my legs the whole time I brushed her. Bunky came over to get brushed as well. I called for Lisa Lee and she came to see what was going on. They all were laying by me getting brushed! Kira cleaned Lisa Lee's face for a little bit too.
