Dakota & Benny

Benny was running circles around the living room when I came in last night. I let them both outside and they took off as soon as they hit the concrete! Kota was racing around and around. I guess she had a little energy to burn! I think Benny likes his new fence, since he doesn't have to protect his yard from the neighbor doggies anymore. Usually he just spends the whole time racing back and forth along the fence, but tonight he actually played fetch with me for awhile. Benny joined Kota for a little bit running circles around the yard too! He didn't want to bring me the ball back, so I had to keep finding a new one to throw. They got pretty muddy, but not nearly as bad as last time. I hosed Kota's legs off and she wasn't too happy about that! I let her inside and took Benny to the tub to rinse his legs and tummy off. After I dried him, I opened the door and Kota was waiting for him! Kota had some supper afterwards, and Benny got a back and tummy scratchin'. He started rolling around and rubbing his head on me. He was so funny!
Kota chillin' on the patio table!

Mattie, Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

Mattie was barking when I came in this morning. I let the little ones out, then worked on getting Mattie out. She's still pretty wobbly today. She walked over to the bucket outside and had a drink, then laid down out there again. The storm was coming, so I got her up and tried getting her in the house again. She fought it and did want to go in. I did get her in before it started to rain. She ate for me and was a little reluctant to take her glyco flex treats, but she still did. I gave her another small bowl of water. She seems to be very thirsty lately. The other three ate and got their meds. Buddy coughed and hacked once again this morning. Buddy and Jimmy were naughty little boys this morning and started fighting over the food! I got them to break it up, but there was still tension between them the rest of the time I was there. Mattie was trying to get up again, so I helped her. She wandered into the bedroom to lay in her corner, and Jimmy and I sat with her for awhile.

Mattie, Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

The little ones got to spend the afternoon outside today! I helped Mattie up so she could go out. I had to lift her all the way up and let her try to stand a couple times before she got it. When she walked out, she was pretty wobbly on her feet. I followed her to make sure she was getting around ok. She got a drink out of the bucket by the house and then laid down for a bit. Buddy coughed once and did the hacking again tonight. I got their meds and supper ready, then went back out to check on her. I got her up again and led her back toward the house. She didn't want to come back inside! I think maybe she slipped and the floors are making her nervous again. After I finally got her inside, she laid down right away, so I brought her a food bowl and filled a small bowl of water for her. I sat down and stayed with her and gave her attention while she ate and then rested. Poor baby girl! Hopefully she will have a better day tomorrow.

Dakota & Benny

I parked across the street today, since the fence guys were there. Then I noticed Benny's blue ball was laying by the curb in front of my car! Wonder how it got there... I brought it in for him, so he was pretty happy about that! He was zooming around the living room in circles until I let Kota out! You were right, she was pretty talkative today! They both barked oh so ferociously (haha) at the guy working outside, and he just laughed! It was really nice out again for our walk. Benny was actually pretty quiet for most of the way today. He did bark at a couple of his favorite houses though. When we got back inside I gave them some ice cubes again, and Kota really liked that! Benny heard the guys working in the backyard and wasn't too happy! I think he might have seen them through the blinds or something too, so he had to let them know he was going to protect his house!
This is my spoiled rotten little husky! :) She's tiny like Kota too.

Pheonix, Cole & Oliver

Pheonix and Oliver were waiting at the door for me this morning. They followed me around to their water bowl, but no Cole! I searched for him and found him sleeping under the dining table. I called his name a couple times, then he finally woke up! Sleepy head! I took them all outside with me for awhile. They all stayed outside today for the most part, until they all lined up for their yum yums! Cole and Oliver explored in the yard while Pheonix sprawled out and soaked up the sun. They all took turns coming over by me for some attention.

Mattie, Sugar, Buddy, Jimmy & Charlie

There was a lot going on this morning so the puppies were all very excited! Jym was there getting ready to leave when I came in. Buddy coughed once and did the hacking at the end, but I think it was due to all the excitement. I let Buddy and Jimmy out to go potty. Mattie and Sugar didn't feel like it I guess. After the boys came back in I got their breakfast and meds ready. Mattie got up and had a drink while she waited. They were all staring at me and waiting for me to put the bowls down! Mattie ate a good amount, and even protected her bowl!

Dakota & Benny

Kota and Benny were happy to see me again for the third day in a row! Kota was wooing at me the whole time! We went for our usual long walk today since it was just so nice out. They were both hopping along at first since they were so excited. Benny started to get pretty tired after we got about half way. I know because he was even too tired to bark at his usual houses! He did save up enough energy for the last one though, where he usually zooms along the fencline with the little dogs on the other side! When we got back I got them some cool fresh water and checked to see if you had ice cubes. My Nikita likes them for treats, so I thought I'd give them one. I think they weren't quite sure what to do, so they both dropped them on the floor and looked at them for a minute. So, instead I just put them in their water bowl so they wouldn't melt all over the floor. Then Kota started grabbing them all out! I put them back in and put some in her bowl in her kennel too. After she went in, she would stick her whole nose in the water to grab them out! Mine does that sometimes too! It's so funny. Then she finally started eating them after she fished them out.

Pheonix, Cole & Oliver

The boys were all watching me through the window while I was talking to the city guys outside. So when I finally came in they were brimming over with excitement! I let them all out right away and it was so nice out already. They lined up for their yum yums as soon as they finished doing their business. The rest of the time they spent outside, exploring and enjoying the weather! Cole had some lunch, and I think he decided it was a little too windy out for him, so he hung around just inside the door. Pheonix laid out in the grass and was smelling the wind for a long time. Oliver came running over to me for attention, and kept going inside to check on Cole.

Dakota & Benny

Kota, Benny and I decided to take a little shorter walk today. We took one of our older routes. Benny of course had to mark all the mailboxes again! haha! He's so cute strutting around with his new haircut! I think he thinks he's more brave now. He ran up toward a couple of the houses today with dogs in the back, and giving them his big bark. We went and played in the backyard for the rest of the time after Kota and Benny got a big drink in the house. Benny was chasing around with the neighbor dogs along the fence. Kota was exploring for awhile, so Benny had to see what she was up to. She was fascinated with this bush! I don't know what she thought was in there, but she sure tried to get it! Benny noticed across the street a lady was loading her dog up in the car, so he got excited. After he couldn't see the dog anymore, he noticed there was a ball sitting next to him! He picked it right up and started running around with it!

Pheonix, Cole & Oliver

The boys were happy to see me today! I think little Oliver missed me, because he was by me a lot wanting me to pet him. I see he got his surgery! I know who didn't miss me... Pheonix! No just kidding, he was following me everywhere and giving me tons of kisses! It was really nice out this morning, so we spent most of the time outside. The boys wandered around, and did their business. They were so excited for their yum yums! After awhile Pheonix just laid in the grass and just enjoyed the nice weather. Cole and Oliver were either exploring in the yard or coming to me for attention.
"Can I have my yum yum now pretty please??"
