Sadie, Chloe, and Patches

 

Sadie was very giddy today! I went outside to introduce myself to her. She was shy at first, but that changed very quickly. After sniffing my hand a little, she realised I was her friend, and she started licking my hand instead. I let her inside and we got to know eachother a little better. She gave me tons and tons of kisses in exchange for lots of petting. Everytime I attempted to stand up, she'd jump up on my lap so I couldn't! A short while later, Chloe came out to have a look at me. She hid under the kitchen table for a bit. I called her name and she started to walk over to come meet me, but Sadie demanded ALL my attention and scared her away. So Chloe decided to watch from a distance instead, laying down in the living room. I didn't get to meet Patches yet, but I look forward to it my next visit.

Dakota & Benny

It was a nice day for our walk this afternoon! Kota tried sneaking some of Benny's food before I got it up on the counter, but I caught her quick enough. They were both excited for their walk! Kota & Benny were checking everything out together. Benny would stop to sniff at something and Kota would have to run over by him to see what it was! Lots of dogs were out in their backyards, so Benny was excited. Today we saw a german shepherd running around loose in the neighborhood, so we took a different route home. Kota nibbled on her food a little bit when we got back.

Dakota & Benny

Kota is doing great today! She greeted me with her same energetic and talkative self! I let them play out in the backyard almost the entire time, since it was really nice out. Kota immediately started tearing around the yard and Benny did laps back and forth along the fence with the neighbor dogs. I brought a couple of Benny's toys back inside for him. We played fetch for a little bit out there, but he was more interested in the dogs on the other side of the fence getting his toys! Kota kept coming by me to say hi, then she'd bounce and spring around like a little deer! She pounced on the ground several times too, but I never saw what she was after. I brought Benny in and cleaned him up in the sink again since he got a little muddy. We spent several minutes in the house playing fetch while I pet Kota. She likes to sit really close so I'll pet her. I started petting her tummy and she just melted across my lap! It was so funny!

I let the pups go outside to go potty this morning. Kota had some soft stool again, and I might know why! I was wiping Benny's paws off and I looked up and saw Kota standing up eating out of his bowl on the counter! Sneaky sneaky... So after that I fed Kota her breakfast, while Benny and I played. When she was done eating she chased Benny around again and stole his toy from him. She carried it around and around the living room and jumped over the couch, then finally gave it back! They both came and sat by me for some attention. This afternoon I let them out again, and they were running back and forth along the fenceline with the neighbor dogs. Benny found some mud in the backyard, so I washed his feet in the sink. He was very good for me! Kota finished off her food from this morning, except for some kibbles on the floor and around the bowl. She crawled under the stand to get a few more bites and started tossing her kibble of food around again! She was really getting excited about it and did it for quite awhile. They're so funny! They did great this weekend and will be happy to see you!!

Dakota & Benny

This morning I let Kota and Benny outside and they stayed out for a little bit, since it was already kind of nice out. I fed Kota and sprayed Benny's hot spot. While she was eating we played fetch again. Benny crawled into my lap and wanted me to give him a back scratch. He kept coming back for more in between catching his ball. Kota started chasing Benny around when she was done eating. They wrestled around a little bit, then she was ready to relax and chew on her bone. This afternoon I took them for a walk, since it was really nice out! We saw some other dogs out walking with their people too. Benny got a little upset when he saw them and Kota was just curious and wanted to play! Kota ate a little lunch when we got back. I think she found some more canned food at the bottom leftover from breakfast. Tonight I let them out for a bit before I fed them their dinner and gave Benny his meds. Benny wanted me to get his itchies for him again, so he kept running over to me and rolled around. I had to split them up for a minute because they were playing a little too rough at one point. I think Kota was just worried about her food! I let them both out potty again before I left for the night. Benny actually brought one of his toys back inside instead of outside! I gave them lots of extra hugs today for you!!

Koko & Sierra

Koko and Sierra had to check me out this morning. They could smell the other dogs on me that I was with earlier! I pet them for a little bit before I got their breakfast ready. Sierra was a very good girl and ate all her food for me this morning! When they were finished, both of them were staring at me and letting out little whines while I cleaned their potty pads. Sierra actually waited until I put the first new pad back down, because she had to go! We played lighty for a little bit before I left.

"Ok, I'll finish... as long as we get to play lighty when I'm done!"

Gracie & Charlie

Charlie had a lot of energy this morning! He was ready to get outside. After I let them out, Gracie bolted for the bedroom down the hall. I checked on her to see what she was up to. She was all cuddled on a pillow with just the saddest look on her face. She misses mom and dad! I think she'll do better once she gets used to me a little more. Almost all of the pets I watch get really excited when I come in after they get to know me! I let Charlie out I gave her a couple treats and tried to get her to go outside. She didn't feel like it, so I went out and spent some time with Charlie. He started crying when I got out there and ran over to the fence. He tossed his ball over into the neighbor's yard! He started trying to dig his way over there, so I quick hopped over and got it for him. There was a red frisbee with a dog bone on it too, hope that was his! He was playing around again with his ball, tossing and kicking it around. Then he'd play with the frisbee for a little bit. He even tried to get both toys into his mouth at the same time! I went back in to check on Gracie, and she had moved back onto her chair. I put her food dish by her again and she did eat for me a little bit. Charlie didn't finish all of his food, so I put it back in the cupboard. I gave them another treat before I left and told them mom and dad will be home this evening!

Dakota & Benny

I let Kota and Benny outside right away when I came this evening. Kota didn't want to come inside at first. She was busy watching some people outside across the street. I called her and she came leaping over to me, giving me her "woo woo". I gave Benny his meds and fed Kota. She made a big mess of her food! Benny and I played fetch with his blue ball while Kota finished eating. She started tossing around a kibble of food again! Then she ate it. She's so funny! She grabbed out her rawhide and made herself comfy. Benny kept rolling his ball to me with his nose, but if I would try to grab it when he was standing by it, he would grab it and take off! He started cleaning up Kota's food on the floor after I put her to bed for the night. You can tell she was picking through her food by all the pieces on the floor in the pic. haha!

Gracie & Charlie

The mailbox was open just like you said, so I brought the mail in and shut it tightly. I let Gracie and Charlie out as soon as I came in this afternoon and this evening. Gracie ran right past me and laid on the chair in the front room. Charlie ran circles around me while I walked to the back door to let him out. Gracie didn't want to leave the chair, and just looked out the window. I think she misses mom and dad! I went out to play with Charlie for awhile. He was pretty good, only jumped up a couple times when I first came out. He started running around with his big purple ball and would take little breaks to nibble on his food. He started kicking it around like he was playing soccer! It was pretty entertaining to watch. Sometimes he would bring it over to me and drop it at my feet, so I'd toss it across the yard for him. Gracie didn't really eat anything today. I brought her dish over to her and she looked at it for a little bit, but still didn't want to. I think she's still a little nervous around me yet, but she's slowly warming up. She did go right to bed for me tonight! I had to bribe her earlier to go in. She will be happy to see you back home tomorrow!

Koko & Sierra

The girls were bouncing up and down by the gate when I came in each time today! Sierra ate all her food right away this morning. Koko likes to race me to her bowl when I go grab it to get their food ready. Then when I'm bringing it back, she is waiting for me, bouncing up and down. This afternoon I thought Sierra was going to eat all her food again... but she just ate the chicken. Then she was ready to play lighty! She came in by me while I changed their potty pads and started jumping around excitedly. I think she just gets too excited to eat when I'm there! It's always gone when I come back. I had the girls racing all over, trying to catch the evasive red light. Koko drags her little toys along with her and then sits and watches the light as she chews on her toy.
